You know what’s awesome? Watching live events on west coast time after two decades of eastern time. West coast, best coast indeed. until it’s big ten football season and you’ll need to wake up at 6am to tailgate before games!

There was some discussion on Twitter that a Black athlete would have gotten way more flack for this. I don't watch that much football so I don't know how often someone is shown screaming at the coach, but I tend to agree. Also a Black teammate is the one who wrestled Kelce away.

The SB is one of the times I appreciate being on west coast time. I can have a beer or two, my kids can play with their friends for a few hours, and I can still manage to be in bed by 9.
I don’t know how east coasters do it. I’m an old lady and can’t function if I am not in bed by a reasonable hour on a school night. 😂

If Pacheco had rushed Andy screaming in his face during this game, I think a lot of football fans would be talking about it. But it wouldn’t be headline news on People like it is for Kelce. I shouldn’t have generalized “people who watch football.” Obviously, everyone has different standards for what they categorize as aggression. Meh. I don't agree. Also if you watch the actual clip and not the very carefully selected still it looks nothing like what people are making it out to be. Oh, I definitely think it’s gotten way more traction than it deserves. But from watching the whole encounter, I stand by my opinion. Yelling in football— nothing new. Screaming in your head coach’s face during the Super Bowl, almost knocking him over (which I don’t think was intentional but still shouldn’t have happened), not ok in my book.

Maybe they should disallow the elderly on the sidelines.

That was frustrated face not angry face. I don't see no running into and no slamming into I also don't see any wrestling him away from teammate just a grab after he'd already turned away. This is nothing burger.
Someone Said you can't be angry and you can't show anger. I hope they aren't teaching the kids that. Anger is an emotion. We have to learn to manage it. And sometimes you need to show someone that you are angry in an appropriate way so they realize the gravity.
But as I tell the 3 yr old you can't be super angry about every little thing. As he throws himself on the floor once again.

Oh my god. Beyoncé saves us all. Texas Hold ‘Em is a friggin bop. Truly the best part of the night. I've been waiting for a country inspired Beyonce album since the genius of Daddy Lessons.

To be fair, there were not great odds that her name wouldn't come up the day after her boyfriend wins the SB.

I saw another video from ESPN where Andy Reid stops an assistant from giving Travis his helmet and then body bumps Travis. Sooooo it kind of seems to be a mutual thing.

Andy Reid is a bigger, older guy, but he is not a wilting flower. Did anyone else see the footage from after the game where Andy practically tackled Chris Jones to the ground? I have seen him grab players arms and bump them. I get that Travis bumping him like he did was shocking to some people, but it is not outside the norm for Andy. Maybe he really WAS caught of guard and off balance, like he said.

I'll say this: if KC wins, he does not deserve to be on the stage lifting the Lombardi. I am so incredibly disgusted by him. His punk ass should have been benched. No matter what the outcome of this game is I want the narrative to be that he felt entitled to lay hands on his HEAD COACH. I mean they had no issues with Tyreek Hill and Reid’s kid permanently destroyed a family’s life and KC still doesn’t seem to care so we know how it will go. This is hardly unique to KC though, this is the culture of the NFL and Roger Goodell, Jerry Jones, Robert Kraft etc. If you (as a player) can put up the points and make them money they are happy to look the other way. DV, drunk driving, SA, assault, and abuse of a child are regularly overlooked as long as the player holds value to the organization. TK is hardly getting special treatment for his sideline behavior, this is the norm.

We watched it, but no one in my family understands this sport, so we were pretty clueless about the rules and all that. My CA friends told me to root for the 49ers, so I did lol.
I thought the halftime show was underwhelming, but I also could not hear too well because my mom and MIL kept talking so loud. Every time I turned it up, they seemed to have gotten louder, too. 🤣 I'll have to watch it again on Youtube to form an honest opinion.

I'm always disturbed by the number of players getting drafted that are under investigation for assault or DV. The NFL is so toxic.
