I think the issue many are having is not just about Kelce but the use of aggression whether it be in sports or otherwise. We need to show our young people that when things don’t go their way or when they are frustrated that getting angry and then physical (even just a little) is not ok. We need to teach them that there are other better ways for dealing with these emotions. We should not be excusing such behavior as “passionate.” Angry is an absolutely acceptable emotion. Hell no to telling people they can't ever be angry. No. My gosh. Do you even hear yourself? You can't every be angry? You can't ever be upset? You are failing to control yourself if you aren't happy constantly? What a shit message.

You don't sport. You don't get it. Take the step out of this that you said you would. You are comparing a sucker punch to .5 seconds of words. Yeah. Did you bother to rewatch it? Of course not. You are reacting solely on emotion (the very thing you are lambasting him for doing, by the way) and not taking a step back to analyze rationally. O Typical.

Changing the subject for a minute but do you think there was a sign up sheet to be next to Taylor in the suite. Because for the first half every time they showed her a different person was in that spot. Imagining them coordinating that was making me giggle.

I get the sense that Travis is a fiercely competitive person, but also someone with solid emotional intelligence. I saw that Andy Reid said Travis apologized to him privately.
It wasn't how I'd like my kid to act while playing sports, but everyone has the potential to mess up in an emotionally charged competitive situation. It's what they say and do in the aftermath that counts to me.
I assume Travis will address the incident as well as the media response to it in the podcast. I'm interested to hear that part.

So you think anger makes someone a bad person. And you assuming I'm angry just hallmarks how poorly things can be interpreted based on a short clip instead of looking at the whole picture.

I think I land here Also let's not act surprised when something like this happens when football is a sport wholly predicated on men beating the shit out of each other on the field. I realize it's more complicated than that and I have watched a total of .75 football games this season. But it does seem an obvious hypocrisy to me.

Did anyone bet on 0-0 for the first quarter? That probably made some money B won $30 for this!

The entire sport is an exercise in all of us pretending these men aren't giving themselves critical brain injuries for our entertainment, so there is definitely some weird selective morality when it comes to football.

I used to be super into the NFL and I barely watch it any more for various reasons. MH and DS are big fans so I do watch some. Anyways, the less I watch, the more difficult it is to watch. The “minor” hits take my breath away some times. I am not in my enjoying football era.

Anger is a valid and acceptable emotion but you don’t get to direct it or take that anger out on someone else (which screaming in someone’s face is IMO). I understand it’s loud and emotions are high, but I do think he crossed a line.

So you think anger makes someone a bad person. Friend, no one said this. "We need to teach them that when they are frustrated that getting angry...is not ok" I will agree with the physical part of that comment, but telling someone it's not ok to be angry is not ok. It absolutely is. It is a legit emotion. Trying to suppress that is not a way to handle it. So yes, stating that someone being angry is not ok is absolutely saying that they are failing for having an emotion. Even if they do not express it externally with words or physical actions. I will not agree that is correct. It is ok to be mad. It is ok to be angry. Stop this "little girls have to be sugar and spice and always nice" nonsense. They can have emotions. They can be upset. That isn't a negative trait to have an emotion.

They didn't deserve to win and frankly the playoff OT rule change a few years ago was bullshit. I didn't give a crap who won either way, but I like the new OT. Sudden death first score is so unfair to the team that loses the coin toss and doesn't start with the ball. It felt a little baseball & inning-y and I liked it.

There was this one time when Shane Victorino (the flying Hawaiian) from the Phillies charged the Giants mound and came out swinging that lives rent free in my brain. I was at the game and the crowd experience responding to that brawl was spectacular.

We want an awful lot in comportment from a bunch of people we expect to play a game to perfect standards, and who we have built up for their competitive drive.
And no, no one is saying be violent.
I continue to disagree that we saw violence in this incident.

Cher and I are descended from the same ancestors of wacky and feisty Italian Catholics, I feel confident she’s team angry is okay. 😂

I think it’s somewhere in the middle. It wasn’t behavior we’ve never seen before but it was notable. The crowd I was with definitely noticed and took as a sign that KC was in meltdown mode. Which they were for the first half. They played a much better second half. This is exactly how I thought of it at the moment. When I saw it happen, I was like, oh that seems a little much. But it didn’t come across as violent, to me, or *that* remarkable. It was remarkable (to the general spectators) because it was Taylor’s boyfriend. I really don’t think there would be as much talk about it had it been anyone else, with the except of maybe Mahomes.

Oh my god. I just saw the viva Las Vegas Travis clip and and then the pan to Taylor and her cringe face. That is amazing.
They actually are perfect for each other.
But we all need a long offseason break from both of them.

Oh ok. I haven’t had coffee yet. I was like - this is no Draymond situation. Good morning, West Coast! You clearly didn’t ask my kids, because it was NOT a good morning for them. Thank goodness they are all out of the house this morning. They can be someone else’s problem for a bit. 😊

Their attitudes had nothing to do with football and everything to do with having 7 tweens and 2 kindergarteners over Saturday night, from which none of us have recovered. 🙃

I going to rewatch the half time show and listen to the single Bey dropped in the middle of the game and stop thinking about Traylor.
