it would be great to hear what another kids favourites were, DS will be 10 when we go so similar age. We’re planning on going to Universal one day and hitting up a lot of Pokémon centres If your budget allows, buy the express passes! We didn’t and rode 3 rides all day because everything was a 2+ hours wait. And we were there on a rainy Tuesday. There’s not enough rides or shows to disperse the crowds so everyone waits in the lines. Luckily, our girls had never been to US Universal parks and were happy to walk around, watch parades, and cast spells in Harry Potter, but definitely feel like we missed out a bit on the rides. oh we are absolutely planning on the express pass, i already added it to the budget. The entry tickets are so cheap compared to FL i was surprised how much more the express pass is.

We booked 2 weeks in Japan in August. We would have preferred to do it at Christmas but the flights were crazy expensive then so August it is. I’m not looking forward to the heat but otherwise I’m super excited. We’re not telling DS until we get to the airport, he’s going to lose his mind since it’s his biggest dream to go there. My friend went with her family last August. They had a fantastic time, but she did say they planned their days around the heat. They went out early, took a break after lunch at the hotel, then went out again after the late afternoon. That and planning indoor activities, one was Teamlabs. Lots of ice cream breaks too.

My 11 year old's friend just went there for two weeks and had so much fun. I can ask what his favorite parts were. I bet your DS will just be dying of excitement on the flight. it would be great to hear what another kids favourites were, DS will be 10 when we go so similar age. We’re planning on going to Universal one day and hitting up a lot of Pokémon centres Sounds like very similar interests to my son and his friend!😄 My son is writing his friend and asking!

We just booked a trip to the Jersey Shore for the 4th of July. One of H’s good friends lives there, so we will be staying with them.
H and I are also going with friends to Marseilles in October, sans children, so I’m especially excited about that! Neither of us have ever been to France.

Just got back from a One Day in Disney trip with DS. We flew into Orlando on Tuesday night, went park hopping between three different parks on Wednesday, and then flew home on Thursday afternoon.
DS is 11 and it was just so much fun for both of us.
I think one big upside of trying to pack it all into one day was that we knew from the outset that we couldn't see or do everything. I had to be very strategic with our planning, but we waited in very low to zero lines and we got to enjoy lots of fun rides and yummy foods.
It certainly wasn't a budget trip, but due to the limited time we spent which reduced the number of hotel nights, meals and park tickets, I could do this annually.
