I've read most of this thread but it appears I missed the ribs recipe. I keep waiting for someone to link it again but that hasn't happened recently. Would some be willing to link these amazing ribs please?

I did the fauxtisserie chicken yesterday and then made broth from the carcass and my normal broth stuff (I keep a bag in the freezer for other carcasses, veggie ends, etc).
Omg it was so easy and I portioned and froze the broth tonight - I'm pretty sure it was the best smelling broth I've ever made. And I make a lot of broth. But you can't beat 30 minutes in this thing.
Broth.
Broth.

If anyone has any good salmon recipes shoot them my way. H wants to start eating more salmon. Also since he wants to do more fish in thinking I will definitely need to buy extra sealing rings. Some places said the off brand kind you can buy can cause leaking - does anyone know if this is true? My SIL and I both did frozen salmon and decided 3min pressure would be less dry. I tried a different recipe but I had planned on doing this lemon one next time

The spaghetti is great. I don't have to boil water, stir noodles, drain anything. Just throw it in and wait. We worked in the yard and came in and ate when we were done.

I have been reading this thread for a while so decided to join in. I bought an Instant Pot when it was on sale at Kohl's a while ago. I have tried quite a few things but I think our favorite so far is beef gyros. www.365daysofcrockpot.com/instant-pot-beef-gyros/I am making yogurt today. I have made it in the crock pot before but it has been a while.

We made mussels for dinner last night. OMG they turned out so good. Every other time we've made mussels they have ended up dry and really not very good, but they cooked perfectly last night.
Before anyone asks the recipe came from one of the Instant Pot cookbooks, so no link.

I think the first meal I want to make is the ribs. Or maybe the sausage and peppers. Decisions, decisions.
If you served pasta with the sausage meal, did you cook it separately? I don't know how any of this works.

So I've done beans twice and both times they were....meh. I don't think I'm using enough water? The first batch burned and I ended up tossing the whole thing. I did black beans the other day and they're ok, but some were still a little crusty, like on the top layer.
Suggestions? I think just upping my liquid next time should do it hopefully.

My child hasn't eaten dinner since Monday. Tonight she kept asking for an egg (she loves hard boiled eggs). Thank God for the IP, I had hard boiled eggs in 10 minutes. I need to try eggs. MH just brought home a dozen eggs from a coworkers chickens

Thanks. He did leave them in the fridge at work for week and a half before he remembered to bring them home, but that's pretty much the same as the recipe I found

I'm a butterfinger so I dropped one putting them in the pot and threw it out, but they smell delicious. A couple cracked, but we'll just eat those first. I did the float test before I put then in the IP and they were perfect for hard boiling. Honestly I don't think I've ever had fresh eggs before

I don't know how any of this works. Ribs should definitely be first. Ribs are in the instant pot right now. I'm so excited! I hope I don't mess this up.

You need to use sturdier noodles in the IP. I've used macaroni and ziti noodles-for spaghetti.

I did spaghetti noodles in the IP and they turned out great. I maybe could've taken a minute off the time because I like mine al dente and they were soft but not mushy.
I realize I've opened myself up to "how long did you cook it for" but I can't remember now. I think I did the trick of half the time on the package minus two minutes but rounded up. Next time I'd round down.

Count me in! I have an 8qt IP. I've been peeking in the thread for a couple of weeks and was suffering from serious FOMO. We made the ribs last night and they were amazing! Now I want to try Tikka Masala. I have a recipe that I love, but it's so time consuming. I want to be able to make it on a weeknight. armpants, did you end up making it?

I made the Swedish meatballs and it's the first thing I've made that I burned. It was only on the bottom though and DS2 cleaned his plate. I can't barely ever get him to eat at all!

Made general tso's lastnight over rice. It was delicious! What recipe did you use? I've made orange chicken and sesame chicken and H has requested them both again relentlessly. So apparently my IP is mostly good for home cooked Chinese chicken. Might as well throw Tso into the mix too!
