thatgirlrachel good to see you back! cythe just too adorable! Love her shoes and fx she’s be stomping all over with them soon. Crap situation about your H, I hate it when someone takes SH out of proportion. Hoping it can be cleared up as just a misunderstanding without it going on your Hs record. CoachTsWife hoping baby is on the mend and you’re able to have your R&R with your H, how is his recovery thus far? doodlemommy when do you go in for your first US? I’m excited for you. bootsorhearts1, we’re still sleeping with sleep sacks too. It’s cold here so we’re using Zippadeezip. It also helps not getting his limbs stuck in the crib slats. danvers your student teacher sounds great. Hoping your girls are doing ok.

Sorry I haven’t been around much. DS had been sick off and on the last couple of weeks and my folks also went home so we’re all adjusting to our little family unit of 4. Since they left, I’ve been cleaning and organizing the house from top to bottom too...so much easier to clean with there’s less people around. Also lil fella is teething and I’m certain going through a leap so lots of clinging and fussiness but lots of words and he’s practically running now in the Wobbliest way possible 🤦🏻♀️ It’s so cute, he just doesn’t know how to coordinate his upper body and legs moving fast which sometimes results in trip ups. 🤷🏻♀️

snip thatgirlrachel for what it’s worthl H teaches high school and I teach elementary and we love everything about it except the pay - which is probably very #regional I’m sure snip Our state pay is not anything to brag about, but the benefits are pretty competitive. A higher ed faculty position would definitely be higher paying, but also doctoral degree/student loans/etc. Lots to think about. I appreciate your feedback!

Hola from Mexico! I'm pumping, haha. I nurse DS2 morning and evening and thought I could get by pumping once a day but my stud side got engorged/hard. Oh well. 🤞 it isn't a clog, I'll really kick myself if so. I sent my mom a text this morning asking about DS2. Do you know what she said???!!! He STTN. And she had to wake him up this morning! He hasn't done that in weeks. WEEKS. We just laughed and shook our heads. I'm glad he seems to be feeling better and that he wasn't a monster for mom last night. Still a few nights to go though, so we'll see how the rest of our time away goes. Here's a little warmth and sunshine for everyone stuck in eternal winter in the US.

duskymonkey I have no idea when my first u/S will be! I don’t see the midwife until April 4 which will be around 10.5-11 weeks, so I’m guessing shortly after that?

CoachTsWife I love all of that so much! The beach, the resort, and especially hearing that your DS2 STTN! I am sure he will be easy peasy for your parents, and I hope you and your H have a wonderful, relaxing, stress-free time in paradise! Drink a margarita and eat mexican food for me please. 😁

Well, my pedi wants to send us to Shiners to see their orthopedic doc since E wont even stand (much less cruise or walk). I'm having feels over here, I guess because we just saw the orthopedic doc locally and he was all "oh that's weird that she wont even try to pull up", took an xray and sent us on our way. Everyone is always telling me babies do things in their time, its fine be happy shes not mobile, ect but now we are travelling of state to see fancy specialists. I just have feels.

@coachtswofe that looks amazing! We are doing an adult only trip to Florida next month. Can’t wait! cythe it’s so hard not to worry but try not to. She happy and otherwise healthy so hopefully it’s nothing or something easily fixable. Thinking about you guys.

CoachTsWife we got 3 inches of snow last night... so a sunny beach pic gives me hope of warmer days. I hope you enjoy every minute of this trip - How’s your H’s back doing after all that travel? cythe I am all for EI so if someone can help you figure out how to get E to stand (be it because she’s so stubborn or something else) then I think it’s worth pursuing. We’re traveling out of state to do more bloodwork and specialized testing for DD2 because of her frequent illnesses. She’s happy, healthy (for now anyway), but I like to get ahead of anything I may need to and be prepared with all the information. Best case scenario is they reaffirm she is a super cute and stubborn little girl who will indeed do it in her own time.

It’s been such a crazy few days at work. So much drama and ridiculousness. None of it involving me but lots of “reply all” passive emails and needless vague announcements about situations where everyone knows exactly who it’s directed at. Teachers can be as petty as middle school girls sometimes.
H and I are having a date night tomorrow so we can see Captain Marvel (see: my screen name and avatar). It’s no Mexico or Florida (or Thailand 🤣) but a movie at a really nice theater will have to do for now. I have been waiting for this movie forever.

danvers duskymonkey DH is doing pretty good. He had stiffness on the flight but nothing too terrible. Recovering as expected and he can resume normal activities at the beginning of April. Right now he can do activities "as tolerated".

CoachTsWife that looks amazing. I wish we were going to an awesome resort this week! We canceled bc it showed nonstop thunderstorms where we were headed. cythe hope your H’s situation gets resolved quickly. Once they realize she is being ridiculous are there any consequences for her? Also, good luck at the specialist. Hope they give you some answers and steps to move forward to get your stubborn girl to stand. She looks so happy in her new shoes!

We had a really nice day today. Both boys were so well behaved the entire morning and even during lunch. No crying from either! I may take them out in public more often. 😂

Also Taitai I am trying a sheet mask for the first time tonight - I don’t know who I am anymore with all this time for self-care! I bought a variety pack a month or so ago and completely forgot. How many times a week do you use a sheet mask?

Hello everyone!
DS1 brought flu A into our house 10 days ago. DD1 and I caught it from him before we knew he had it. Thankfully we all had our shots and DD and I had started Tamiflu before we had symptoms so it was not as bad as it could’ve been. Flu shots forever.
I love spring ahead time change. This is a great day. My early risers slept til 7! This never happens. Plus one less hour of taking care of everyone in the day. 🙌🏻
Otherwise it much to add because sickness has taken my life recently.

rebeccabunch flu shots forever indeed! I’m so glad you and your DD1 were ahead of the game when the flu hit. How awful. I too love spring time change. DD2 “sleeps in” till 6:00 now as opposed to 5 so life is good 😂

Actually conversation with my SIL . Everyone was over at our house and all the kids were playing with our water-table turned indoor-rice-table.
SIL: I think we could do something like that and use dried corn.
Me: we used rice just for cleanup since it can vacuum easily.
SIL: yea but rice is so girly. Corn would be much more manly for [nephew] and his trucks.
...... so there you all have it. Rice tables are girly. Corn tables are manly. 😑🤦♀️

H left to get a tattoo, the baby is asleep, and DS1 is quietly playing with trains. I’m laying on the couch exhausted and wondering where this day even went.

danvers Your SIL and I would probably not get along IRL. What about rice if girly? WTF? So glad you got to see Captain Marvel though!!! H and I really want to see it - I have heard great reviews, and I am pretty sure I will like the 90s setting/songs. As for sheet masking - way to go! I tend to sheet mask a few times a week. I would love to do it nightly, but there’s not enough time some days. My skin always looks much better if I keep up with it though! cythe I can totally see how you would be in your feels about going to an out of state specialist for E. I will be thinking of you and hoping for a good result. Please keep us updated. Hugs. rebeccabunch Ugh...flu A...the worst. It was really bad over here earlier this year. Glad you all powered through. curmudgeon How did your H’s tattoo turn out?
