Happy Monday ladies! Has anyone heard from Rama and yianna lately? I was just thinking about them the other day And shit is about to get real in this house. B can now go from sitting to getting on his tummy and his army crawling is real. I better start baby proofing.

E is on the move too. She's scooting around on her bum and can get from her tummy to a sitting position and then pull up to stand.

leatherpants i am not ready for mobile babies! v was up on her knees rocking back and forth when i got her from her nap this morning, so i’m sure we’re headed that way too. trying to be productive today. i got a big pot of soup made and baked some pumpkin pie oatmeal. finally sitting down for a few minutes, but i’m sure dd2 will be up from her nap shortly. dropped dd1 off at daycare this morning and got home only to realize i never clipped my bra back up😬. if i only i had a dollar for every time i did this...

I can't imagine a mobile baby yet! N is not even quite sitting on her own.
I'm getting the tear I had from N's birth repaired today. It's just a day procedure but I'm getting general anesthesia. I've been sitting in a hospital bed all morning. I'm starving and nervous about being put to sleep, and they should be coming for me any minute.

I’m just trying to make it through the day over here. Another weekend out of town meant another weekend of terrible sleep plus another couple days until he adjusts. Just in time for us to go out of town again this weekend. We’re going to Nashville, which will be the longest drive we’ve done so far with L. H has a bachelor party and I’m going to visit my 2 high school friends who live there, so it works out that we can all go. The friend I’m staying with has a 2 month old so hopefully the babies don’t wake each other up through the night. I’m having a hard time getting excited about the trip. I’m looking forward to seeing my friends, but I’m just dreading the drive, time difference (only an hour), poor sleep, plus the fact that H will be partying it up while I solo parent all weekend. Sorry for all the complaints. I’m feeling like a very negative Nancy today.

I don’t have a working kitchen still. It’s been three wait.. four days? We had carpet in the kitchen we are cheaply replacing with linoleum. There was two layers of carpet and one layer of linoleum to tear out first. Ugh. Just want to be done!
It’s pizza night.

The house we want (smaller than we need, but can be renovated to suit in time, perfect spot) is asking more than we wanted to spend (before renovating). I’m so torn and stressed. There’s another house that doesn’t need renovating but the low end of the advertised price range is the top of our budget so unlikely we’d get it.
I’m so anxious about having no home. I don’t mind staying at MIL’s house if I know it’s only for a week or so, it is so small and the baby is being a nightmare at night and I can’t see how it’s going to work at all for longer than that.
Argh!!!!!

polson I almost always forget to do one of them up. Thankfully DC drop off now involves me wearing a sweater and jacket. mintyblueair I hope the procedure went well. We don't have a mobile baby here yet. He is sitting like a champ but still hates being on his stomach (except to sleep) so he won't even roll from back to front. I doubt he will make the choice to be on his stomach and just like his older brother go from sitting to furniture walking.

Thanks everyone! All went well and I'm home and not having much pain! I'm letting my husband handle the toddler's bedtime and then I'll be having tea and getting to bed early.

Hopefully when you get there, it is worth it.

Also going away for one night last weekend fucked up sleep for like 3 nights.
I remember reading with L was this age that 7-9 months is the worst time to travel with babies because they are so sensitive to routine changes. I remember reading that because L was 7.5 months when we went to Mexico and it was the worst trip of my life. Neither of us slept, I was alone with him in the hotel room pretty much all day and night trying to get him to sleep, it was just a fucking nightmare. The only time he slept was during the ceremony of the wedding we went for. And it took forever to get him back to a liveable routine when we got home.
Anyways, just a fun trip down memory lane there. Weeeee

Weeeee I am praying this does not happen to me in November. I travelled to Mexico with my family (no DH since he had just gotten a teaching job) and it was me in the room each night and for every nap. It wasn't the greatest but I had some help. This time DH is coming so we will be able to switch off with DS2 and hopefully dump DS1 on my parents/their friends to get some relaxing done. We may also lie and say he is 4 to put him in the kids club a few times. He is tall and has a very developed vocabulary so we figure if we all agree to it we hustle need to make him believe he is 4 for a week.

Good luck stardust! I’m sure your trip will be fine. And if you have some helpful family, you’ll be golden!

If your just going to be here for the weekend, I’d suggest trying to just pretend that you haven’t changed time zones.

J had his 6 month check up today. He’s on the growth chart! At his two month checkup he weighed less than 1%. Now he’s a chunky 16 lbs 6 oz and is 22%.
