This is a combined TTC thread for EVERYONE currently TTC. Whether you're a first timer, a many timer, or an old timer come on in and pass the time as we struggle through WTO and the dreaded TWW.
As this is a combined thread there will be talk of LC, losses, and IF struggles. If any of these are hard for you please just let us know in your first post and I'm sure the lovely ladies on here will be happy to add TWs to accommodate.Â
Feel free to add a little intro to help us get to know you better;)
Please come join us!

Sorry I disappeared end of last week. We're all sick again, despite being sick last month.
Month/Cycle: 2/2, 1AL
Timing: -3, -1 (I think)
CD/DPO: CD14/O today or tomorrow based on OPKs.
Symptoms: EWCM everywhere.
RRCS: Paranoid AF since we were told to wait, but couldn't find solid research to discount trying again at this stage given our (brief) loss history. Still having weird feelings about how I'm feeling, yay hormones.

nerdalert sorry you're feeling paranoid but I think you're totally fine! Even after a D&C they only had me wait 1 cycle...and that's mostly because of the 6 week post op follow up appointment.

I'm not sure what we are doing, but I'll check in anyway.
Month/Cycle: 5/5?
Timing: n/a
CD/DPO: still bleeding from my chemical. CD4 I guess.
Symptoms: I bled pretty bad on saturday but it's now lightening up so hopefully I'm on the tail end of it.
RRCS: We have decided to stop Femara. We may casually TTC but if it doesn't happen in a few months, will probably be done. I turn 40 in June and I feel like I've been waiting to be pregnant again so not trying to "get my body back." So I want to focus on continuing to lose weight if I can get motivated.

Month/Cycle: 1AL
Timing: NA but hoping it'll be decent
CD/DPO: CD5
Symptoms: Nothing pregnancy related but holy hell this is the worst AF EVER!!!
RRCS: Nothing much. I'm not temping. I tried but because I got out of the habit I never remember when I wake up. Plus knowing that the RE appointment is coming up next month and that we'll likely jump right to IVF I'm feeling more relaxed about everything. I'm interested to see when I end up Oing this month though. I have a fertility monitor so I'm using that plus I'll throw in regular OPKs once I get a high reading from the monitor because it misses my peak reading sometimes:/

sarahh I could have written most of your post myself. Only I'm 40 in February. I've started focusing on myself regardless of TTC and trying to make TTC secondary to real life and it has made me start feeling so much better about everything.

Month/Cycle: 26/ FET#1
Timing: n/a
CD/DPO: currently on BC
Symptoms: BC sucks. I don't know how I did this for like 8 years because I would honestly rather many other things than take this stupid pill that makes me feel like ass.
RRCS: Just BC here (hate! see above), last pill is Oct 13, baseline ultrasound Oct 15, then estrogen for 2 weeks. FET Nov 6. I feel like this year is basically over; between holiday activities, H's travel, family travel etc January is going to be here in a blink. I wish time would slow down just a little.

nerdalert, my ob/gyn & midwife team are pretty new school and told me after my losses that there is no physical need to wait after a first tri loss (either natural or d&c) before TTC again. Really just go with your gut, some people aren't emotionally ready while others are. Hugs. sarahh, many hugs. I've put much of my life on hold for the past 2 years for TTC and realized after our loss last year that it just wasn't worth it. Like sammysam said, TTC needed to be secondary (or at least tied for first, lol) with other aspects of my life. I didn't work out, buy new clothes (that I needed), take on new projects - nothing. I kept telling myself I'd be pregnant, and then it was even more depressing when I wasn't and I also didn't feel like myself. I've done much better this year at taking care of me and I think it's the only reason I've gotten through all this. I hope you're able to find time to focus on you a bit too. <3 sammysam, I'm so glad to hear your feeling more relaxed. When exactly is your appointment?

sammysam, thanks a bunch, surprised and not surprised at how triggering this is for my anxiety. :/ sarahh Hugs for the situation all around. I understand about wanting to keep going on getting your body/life back, that was a lot of us delaying TTC this spring. charliefox Boo on the BC, I'm so sorry. I love and hate this time of year, I love it in general so hate that it goes by quickly. Are you doing anything fun outside of family travel?

Month/Cycle:started TTC winter 2016, break/benched summer 2017 through winter 2018. Off bench March 2018. CP 6/18, CP 9/18. First cycle post CP
Timing:N/A
CD/DPO: 9/ n/a
Symptoms: None. This is my first non-medicated cycle since the one that started 4/28 and ended in a CP. So weird not to be popping some Clomid right now!
RRCS: The start of CP bleeding last week coincided with a major asthma flare. So even though I'm not on Clomid, I'm finishing up a Prednisone burst. I'm also still waiting for the repeat loss panel to come back. The RE said to call tomorrow if I don't hear anything before then. I also feel like I've put some stuff on hold between dealing with my non-reproductive health and TTC. So I impulse registered for a half marathon that is at the end of February. I figure I've got 20 weeks to go from 3 miles to 13?
I'm also wondering if we should skip timed intercourse + injectables and just go to IUI. And if maybe we're going to have to skip a couple cycles. I was looking at our vacation schedule and DH's work travel schedule for the next two months and I'm just not sure if we'll actually be around to DTD and/or do frequent monitoring ultrasounds.

charliefox Sorry the BC is so assy:/ But on the bright side at least you're moving forward! My appointment is November 15th. I'll have to do all the required testing first but I'm hoping we can get through it all quickly and possibly be into an IVF cycle by the end of January.

sharebear I say the half marathon is totally doable! If nothing else it gives you something else to focus on:) I haven't run one since before DD was born...and the last one I ran I didn't train at all (a friend was supposed to rum it but couldn't so I took her place last minute...it was a charity thing) and it hurt afterwards. A lot. But I still loved doing it!

But I definitely feel my best when I'm exercising regularly. So I think this is a good move. Anyone want to be a run buddy? Looks like I'm going to start doing Tues/Thurs/Sunday runs.

I called the RE this morning because I hadn't heard back yet on the repeat loss panel results. Apparently most, but not all, results are back. However a few of the tests will probably take another 1-2 weeks. So it looks like this cycle is out. And potentially next cycle too since DH didn't get his labs done until this week, so probably another 2-3 week turnaround time for all of his stuff to come back.
I'm sad, but also relieved. It feels so...free? to think about this stuff on a daily basis? I never thought I would be happy to be benched again.

honda Yep. FINALLY. CD41. Which is crazy because my average cycle length is 23 days. And it has been ridiculously heavy since Saturday. CD 6 today and no signs of slowing down. I'm guessing I'm going to O pretty late this cycle. How are you doing?

sharebear it's strange how being benched gives you time to breathe. Not that I wish for anyone to be benched but I understand that feeling of calm that you can get when you know there is nothing you can be doing.

sharebear Awesome on the half marathon, best wishes as you get started running again, I could never! But I am sorry about the tests taking longer, but hoping that the chance to rest does you good. O day. All the cramps and my cold is peak horribleness. I guess I should be happy we got it in on -4 and -2, but I really wanted to be able to do it today to get one more chance in the door but I just feel like death, even with o-cramps peetering off. Itchy, dry, snotty death.

I was going to start EOD tomorrow night...which will be CD9. I usually O between CD 10 and CD 14. I was thinking this might end up working out to be another long cycle just because of all the bleeding but history has shown me that I usually have a long cycle followed by a short one. So I don't know if I should start tomorrow or wait a couple days. It wouldn't be an issue but with SO still living in a different city there is LOTS of scheduling involved. Blah. I hate the guess work. I just don't know how much the last loss has screwed up my cycle.

Is SO already planning on coming in town/is there any downside to getting a weekend with him (even if this doesn't end up being O weekend)?

So if anyone has hot tub antecdotes let me know.

sharebear nothing yet. But I typically don't get increased CM until O day or the day before. SO will be in town this weekend anyways but he typically only comes in for one night. I just have to figure out if it's worth having him come in early and stay a bit longer or not:/ It's thanksgiving weekend for us here so the holiday should help a bit.

charliefox Did you do ICSI or and PGS testing? My clinic doesn't do the PGS and I'm wondering if it's worth pushing for. We could get it outsourced to a different lab but I feel like the cost and the time might not be worth it.

charliefox Did you do ICSI or and PGS testing? My clinic doesn't do the PGS and I'm wondering if it's worth pushing for. We could get it outsourced to a different lab but I feel like the cost and the time might not be worth it. We didn't do ICSI, it wasn't needed since 3 out of our 4 eggs fertilized on their own, but we did give consent to do ICSI if they weren't fertilizing on their own so just as an emergency option. We also didn't do PGS pretty much for 3 reasons: 1) my most recent loss (and the only one we've tested) was genetically normal, 2) my age (33) doesn't put me at increased risk, and 3) we only had 3 embryos. Honestly, if we had had like 6 embryos we probably would have done it since we are only planning single embryo transfers we would want to make sure we were putting the best ones back in and 6 would be a lot to choose from. With only 3, we figured we'd just go for it. Plus it's important to remember that it is a screening NOT a test, so it isn't 100%. There are cases where embryos are shown to be genetically abnormal but grow into completely healthy babies, it's a lot like the screenings they can do when you're in late first tri where it's more like a risk factor. So with only 3 embryos I would hate to thrown some out not knowing for sure if they were unhealthy. That all being said, if I were you, with your age and loss history, I would do PGS. I wouldn't want to waste time and money on embryos that don't have a good chance. At the same time, if you have a good amount of embryos you could always put 2-3 back in and just cross all the things that a normal one sticks. Here in the US all PGS is done through outside labs, just like the first tri blood screenings there are specific companies that do PGS (our clinic uses Advagenix, not sure of other ones). The clinic usually charges a fee for the embryo biopsies and then sends them off to the lab. Advagenix says it can take a few days or up to 2 weeks to get results back. So with PGS you would definitely be doing a frozen transfer since they would biopsy on day 5 and then freeze and wait for results. Had we had a lot of embryos our original plan was to do a fresh transfer wth the best looking one and PGS the rest since they would be frozen anyway, so that is always an option if you don't want to wait for results initially. Have you had any genetic testing done? I would probably get carrier testing done on both you and SO if you haven't already. That would rule out any big issues, and if you are both a carrier for something then you might choose to do PGD which would test for that specific disease. That was a ton of info, feel free to ask any questions. My dad founded a company that does genetic testing on cancer tissue so he's helped me a lot through all this genetic testing stuff and I'm happy to pass on any info or wisdom that I can.

honda, how long were you hot tubbing? I've been told it's not good for eggs either (you don't want to raise your body temp) and have pretty much avoided while TTC. If you weren't in that long I wouldn't be too concerned. H has done the occasional hot tub over the last year and his sperm numbers are always great ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
