Ok I think I'm done with my pity party. I'm going to figure out a new routine to do along with my DR exercises. I declare it.

I've been doing a cardio water aerobics class for a few months now and it is great! There are women on all sizes and ages so it makes you really comfortable to put on that swimsuit and get in the pool. It has really helped me get me active again and ready for other workouts. I recommend checking out a class if you are trying to get into working out or weights. And you don't have to worry about sweating in the pool!

Imgoing to look into when our Rec center classes are.

I worked out 30 minutes on the elliptical yesterday and today. I'm proud of myself for that.

Took a week off due to moving. I figured packing and stacking and lugging stuff around counted for something. Yesterday was nice to get back at it.

Hi. I've been sticking to the running thread since that's all I've been able to squeeze in lately, but I'm off work for the summer and excited to do more.
I went to baby boot camp this morning. I've been the worst strength slacker lately and am slightly embarrassed that I had to only use 3lbs weights for the shoulder work. I've never had good upper strength, even when I do regularly throw in free weights, but that might be a new low for me. Some of the pregnancy modifications left me feeling like I could have done more too. But I'm really happy to have gotten a weight workout in. After the holiday next week I should be able to go M/W/F, which will be nice.

We did a million pushups at crossfit today. Ok, maybe not a million but it felt like it and now my arms are complete jelly, I almost had to get help to get out of my sports bra to shower. I really should try one of those push up challenged posted earlier then I won't suck as much.

Cardio day! I did 30 minutes on the stationary bike, maintaining an average mph of 20.6. The resistance was set at 6 instead of 5, so this was a personal best for me.

I'm meeting with the trainer at my gym today so she can teach me how to use the smith machine and barbells and stuff. I'm excited.

Yea, she's kind of steering me away from them. Planet Fitness doesn't have barbells with plates you can add, so she can see me using them for chest or shoulder presses but that's gonna be about it. She's got a bunch of other stuff in mind. I appreciated her honesty.

You can also do plenty of shoulder strengthening exercises with a band. I've never worked out a Planet Fitness. They don't have bars?

Just got back from group fitness. There were only four of us and once again it was a #MeatHeadThursday theme. Washing my hair tomorrow is going to be fun. I hope I can raise my hands above my head.

I could look up the information myself but is it only machines and cardio equipment?

Overrated. I might resort to wearing a hat tomorrow. Office crowd should be light. I work with all men so they don't care. Why I will be sore. We super set our exercises - Warm-up - I've already blocked out the details DB incline bench press 4x6 DB elevated shoulder row 4x10 KB step up with a 2 second hold - 3x8 Chin ups - 3x5 Using bands - Pulling the band towards our eyebrows (hard to explain and not sure of the name) 3x12 Band pull downs 3x12 Upright rows 3x10 Core finisher

What a crappy website. I really learned nothing about the gym. $10 a month is an awesome price. I can't believe they have tanning beds.

I can't believe they have tanning beds. The price, convenient locations, and some of the classes they offer are why a lot of people go there. Their whole philosophy annoys the crap out of me, but I won't fault anyone for going there.

I worked out again today after work. I can't believe it 😆 You're creating a new habit! I'm trying to, for sure! My goal is 3-4 times a week for 30 min. I plan to get on today and tomorrow so I'm on track for 4 times this week.

Recently moved into my in-law's until we find a place since moving back to the area. I'm motivated to workout to give them their space and because their meal planing is...well different than ours. I was putting some groceries away that we had from our old place. I got this quizzical look..."Brown rice? Whole wheat pasta? I don't even know what quinoa is." A snack of strawberries is immediately paired with homemade whip cream. Breakfast is doughnuts or chocolate chip pancakes. Temptation is everywhere.
I'm trapped in the health version of the BB19 house where the consequence of temptation is saggy man boobs!

Not sure if this is the best thread for it, but if you track workouts, runs, walks, bikes, hikes, sleep, steps, weight, etc via any phone app or watch...consider downloading the Achievement app. It syncs with a bunch of apps and logs your aggregate data for use by health (probably insurance) organizations. Once you get 10,000 points they send you ten dollars. Just received my second reward today! They had a waitlist when I first signed up but it was just a couple weeks.
Don't work for them, get nothing if you download it, but hey, it's free money for doing what you are already doing.

There is a bookstore next to my gym so I stopped in and picked up a copy of Oxygen magazine. They had a 4-week leg workout that I started yesterday, and wowza. I am sore today. I needed to switch up my routine.
