I know no IRL humans that pronounce it kee-ko. I feel like that is pronouncing gif as "jiff" Wait what? How else would you pronounce gif?

I know no IRL humans that pronounce it kee-ko. I feel like that is pronouncing gif as "jiff" I say jiff because giphy is supposed to be a homophone for jiffy.

We also love our Diono and angle adjuster. I can push the passenger seat of my Honda Fit all the way back with it RFing. @giantpeach, does your DD tend tall or heavy at all? Some seats are better for tall vs heavy kids. If she's average or small, it probably doesn't matter. She's on the smaller side of average.

+1,000 to the marathon clicktight. MH has a BMW 330 and we have it rear facing behind the passenger seat and I can sit in front pretty comfortably (I'm 5'10").

Whatever you do get, don't get a SafetyFirst 3-in-1. It is very difficult to tighten the straps enough and install it tight enough.

We have the Chicco next fit. I don't find the cover easy to remove but maybe I'm broken. We also have a peg perego and I prefer that one over the Chicco

I have always said it like "jiff" and didn't realize for a while that people said it differently. I felt vindicated when I learned I was saying it correctly.
Anywhoo. I use the Chicco Nextfit zip and really like it. It's kinda big even for my RAV4 but it's worth it for the comfort and convenience.

Brit. Like those damn brits. Or a Brita filter? Is that supposed to be a long i as well? My whole life is a sham. Brita is "brih-tah". I may or may not know this from personal experience with the name....

A snooty sales person at BBB corrected my pronunciation of Chicco and Britax. He was...not friendly.

<--- also correctly pronounces kee-ko. I guess I'm in the minority bc I hate our nextfit. I love the Keyfit so naturally moved to the nextfit. The sides on it come up so high, you really have to hoist your baby into the seat. And if your car is not super tall, you end up having to hold the baby almost horizontally (think levitation) to get him into the seat: up over the edge of the seat, but not too high that he hits his head on the car door frame.

Another vote for Britax click tight in terms of ease of install. Although fun story I recently found out my kids can unbuckle the seat belts holding their car seats to the vehicle and I can not notice for at least a whole day. So now I check that the click tight is in fact, tight every single time. It was not a good experience.

We have a Diono Radian and I love it. It's really heavy though so it might be hard to install. Did you guys know that Chicco is pronounced kee-ko? This is something I learned recently, lol. That's right up there with how we have been told .gif should be announced. Nope. Anyway, We had good luck with all of our Gracos, even in tighter spaces.

We have the Britax Marathon G4 in DH's car, and we all hate it. It's bulky and awkward, and DS never can get comfortable in it.
In my car, we have the Graco Size4Me 65, which - I'm telling you - was sent down from the heavens. It's lightweight, a cinch to install, has a no-rethread-harness, considerable (removable!) padding for the hips and head, lots of head support positions, and a deep cup holder (perfect for toys!). DS has been using this seat since he was 7 months old.

Chicco is Italian? Never knew that.
When there's an h after a c in Italian (or a g) it changes the sound. So bruschetta is brew skeh ta with a hard c. It is how I know if an Italian restaurant will be good or not - how they pronounce bruschetta.

Yes! I like the seat, but I have to hold him almost horizontally to put him in. And I admit I've bumped his head more than once.

I have the Nextfit in the middle seat. That said, I have a giant SUV.
MH has a pretty small car (prob the same size as yours, GP) and he has the Cosco Scenera Next. My kid could RF and I could still sit in the front seat comfortably. I don't know if it's great for a primary car seat because my kid didn't ride in MH's car often. But it was $40, small, compact and saved us on every plane ride in my kid's life (jic you plan on flying with her in the future, GP).
