I know that I am a little further than most (about half way!!), but I've been thinking nursery since the stick turned pink and we decided that our youngest two would be sharing. Now that we know we're having another girl, I am really excited to work on the girls' room. I love my daughter, A's room currently, so we'll be kind of mimicking it again in the girls' new, larger shared room. We plan on painting the walls a lighter gray that what she has currently and we're fairly sure won't be doing wood flooring, but I haven't decided on a carpet color. A will be moving into a big girl bed and we bought a new (to us) crib from H's coworker. It's white, which I'm happy about, and we'll be reusing A's ruffle cribskirt while getting her another for her twin sized big girl bed. We'll do another navy blue painted dresser and I may update the pulls on A's so they all match, or I may just find similar, but different ones, for the other dresser. I'm deciding between doing the longer dresser like she has pictured above or doing the taller one of the set. Once we fully decide on a name, I'll place an order for another pennant banner from the same Etsy shop that made A's. I'm sure more will fall together, but we aren't doing much in there until after the holidays. The current plan is to get it painted and carpeted, then move A in there in January/February and then slowly work on getting the baby's things slowly moved in. It will hopefully be done around the time she makes her arrival.

I don’t even know what to do. DS sleeps with us so he only plays in his room. We have the tiniest closest so H puts his clothes in the spare bedroom. In fact, he puts all his stuff in there. H asked me the other day where we were going to put #2?
Good question.

H asked me the other day where we were going to put #2? Good question. We're not doing a nursery this time around. We are currently using our 3rd bedroom as H's guitar room, and V was such a terrible sleeper that he was in our room for the first year anyway, so it seems silly to set up a room that we need and the baby probably isn't going to use. Our plan is to build a studio for H next winter, and put baby in its own room after that. We'll decorate the room for a toddler instead of a new baby. And if I manage to get my miracle of a decent sleeper this time around, we can easily move the crib into the guitar room until we're ready to shift completely.

Fun! I love nursery talk! This is what I have planned for DD’s room. I’ve bought most of it. And this is what I’m planning for the baby’s room (also a girl). I have DD’s white cot and a long white dresser for her.

I wish I could play here. I had DD's room entirely planned out by this point. If we were going to stay in this house I'd be currently cleaning out our 3rd bedroom to turn into a big girl room for DD and then redecorate her nursery with a new theme for the baby. Instead we're planning to move cross country and probably in with my MIL temporarily and then potentially into a new house all before this one comes. Soooo yeah. Clearly I'm a mess but I will look at all the pretty pictures.

Attachment DeletedThe older kids' room has this as the inspiration I bought some wooden feathers and arrows and painted them the same colors found here. Found a sheet set to match, a dream catcher, and bought comforters in matching colors too. Also have some colorful geometric art. All against our dark gray walls that make the colors really bold. For our nursery, it's sort of a similar Southwest-ish feel, but with muted colors and metallic gold. Flowers pop up a lot, unintentionally, since boho seems to invite that. Right now, it's a much more feminine feeling room so I'm hoping to find more masculine feeling things that match to make the room more neutral. Just in case I'm wrong and it's a boy. Here's something similar to the things in the room. So still Southwest, but more desert themed than geometric shapes like the older boys' room.

I have no clue how I'm going to decorate lol. I know this kid is pandas, that's about it. We're planning on using the area under our loft bed for baby, so close by but still in it's own space.

The room that will be the nursery is painted a pale green, and I'm going with lavender accents (now that I know it's a girl!). Since I want it to be Harry Potter themed, I've started finding cute things on Etsy. So far I def want this blanket and these art prints.

We’re house hunting, have been for 6+ months now, so like robot I wish I could play but it’s hard to picture! If we’re still in this house, we’re taking the desk out of the guest room and putting the crib in there. DS was in our room for the first 3 months anyway. I did use the glider in his room daily, though, so I’m really not sure what to do about that. In theory I could move DS to the guest bed and use his room as a nursery, but I don’t think he’d like that. I just hope we move by baby time.

Our house has 3 bedrooms. So in a few weeks, we are moving DD into the guest room. She is SO excited to get her room re-done and a brand new slightly bigger room. It makes sense, it is closer to the bathroom. We don't have to walk past her room to get to the nursery, etc.
So....if this baby is a girl, she is going to have the same exact nursery as DD1-brown, hot pink and turquoise. If it is a boy-I have no clue.

we are doing a travel themed nursery with a dark gray shiplap wall (with kelly green crib). I've had it planned out since I found out we were expecting with just a few girly changes (mostly in the form of crib sheets and paper flowers) now that I know it's a girl. the rest of the decor will be gender neutral because I'm not a huge !PINK! for girls anyway

We've been in our house 1.5 years now and I have dreams of painting and decorating but it's not in the budget right now. There's an ugly wallpaper border in the 4th bedroom and maybe if I'm lucky I can take that down. The walls are a neutral oatmeal-ish color, all the furniture is from our other kids (crib, glider, dresser that doubles as a changing table) but once we find out the sex I'll probably look for a couple cute pictures to hang on the walls. We've never done an all out nursery and bed shared for quite a bit anyway so it seemed silly

I have a million ideas but no idea how to put it all together. I have white furniture and I'm doing the walls a light grey/beige. Then I think I like pretty neutral colors with some pink and navy. I guess we'll see when I pick out some prints I like.

I'm just going to live vicariously through all of you! Love the ideas so far I live in a 3 bedroom raised ranch but only 2 bedrooms on the main level and the 3rd is on the lower level. We're using that bedroom as an office right now but i'm not ready to have DD be that "far away" anyway, so this baby will just share with her. S/he will more than likely be in our room for the first 6+ months anyway. I feel a little guilty not decorating or planning anything for this baby but it just is what it is. 2nd child syndrome, lol

We did a music/rock n roll theme for my oldest. A red mini piano, instrument bedding, vinyls and guitars mounted on the wall. Turned out to be perfect t because he's into drums so last year for Christmas we added an electronic drum kit.
My second moved in with him.
I haven't even thought about what to do for this one yet. Purple butterflies, maybe.

We have a 3 bedroom house, but the 3rd bedroom is so tiny. It's like half the size of DD's room now. Plus we live a couple of hours away from family so it'd be nice to keep that bedroom as a guest room.
I think we're just going to have the baby share with DD. I'll update the decor and maybe the paint once I find out the sex. There's currently pink accents so if it's a boy, I'll change those out. I'm not sure what I'll change to though. Poor second baby.

All of your ideas are adorable. I started with an alligator theme with DS, but I didn't stick with it for long so I don't think I'm even going to try with this one. The baby will likely stay in our room for the first 6 months anyways. And we plan on moving in two years. Sometimes I feel like I'm just being lazy with this baby.
If I did do a nursery, I think DS will be insistent on picking out things and it'll become a super hero nursery (and hopefully not paw patrol).

I have been burying my head in the sand not wanting to figure out where to put the baby. We have two options...DD1 and the baby can share an ok sized room, or we can completely redo the smaller crappy/original to the house bedroom that we currently use for storage. We have one bathroom and this bedroom that haven't been touched since the house was built. Our other two bedrooms, kitchen, entryway, living space and bathroom were redone just a couple years ago.
Our landlord (a family friend who gives us a very good deal on our house so we don't ask him for much) would replace the old windows but we would need to do the carpet and paint ourselves. With my H's work schedule, it seems impossible. But I can't come to terms with making DD1 share her space when her life is already going to change so much...so I'm really leaning towards trying to find a way to make the smaller room happen. I'll just lurk this thread for motivation/inspiration in the mean time..........

O's nursery was Star Wars. This one will be Harry Potter. I will hand make the mobile since I did that for my son and I'll make a light switch that says Lumos and Nox. Aside from that, a few prints and a couple knick-knacks. The room is a neutral gray with beige carpet. We'll keep O's current furniture in there now and move him into a big boy room probably in early February. I feel like I'll start to dive in when we find out the sex.

With my son we did a monsters inc theme. With this one we are thinking elephants because that room also doubles as our guest room.

Bumping because I ordered some stuff from Etsy. Now to figure out what I'm doing in O's big boy room which I'd ideally like to have him in by the end of the month.

itsmemeg we have that carpet in ds room and I LOVE it! It’s from Ikea and not super expensive either. I have random things for baby’s room but I want to keep it pretty simple and “dainty” like. I’m trying to choose wall color now and I can’t decide!
