Hi Ladies! Do you mind if I join you? I've been lurking a bit, and I think I may finally be ready to admit this is actually happening. My (somewhat lengthy) story is below:
DH and I started TTC #1 in 2013. We eventually moved on to an RE where I got a bunch of IF diagnosis (PCOS, one blocked tube that couldn't be fixed). We did 6 medicated TI cycles then moved on to IVF in the summer of 2015. On paper I had a very successful IVF cycle, but we had 4 failed transfers (the last of two embryos) of untested embryos. We couldn't afford the additional testing and needed a break so decided to take the next summer off and regroup. Well, it turns out that the very first cycle after my last failed transfer I ended up conceiving DD. We welcomed our miracle Zemirah (pronounced Ze-meerah) in January at 36 weeks. She's an amazing, happy, healthy 10 month old.
I had three periods that were nice enough to start at 4 months PP, but the cycles were extremely wonky - anywhere from 30-65 days. We weren't preventing because, given our history, we figured why bother, and I didn't want to be on hormonal BC. Well, turns lightning struck twice for us! I'm 13w today with baby girl #2 (we did panorama testing) with an EDD of June 15. I had my NT scan yesterday and everything looks good. My OB and MFM are being a little cautious with me this time around since it's a short interval between pregnancies and I didn't make it to 37w last time. I'll be starting progesterone shots at week 16 I think, and MFM wants to do some extra cervical measurements starting with my a/s.
We are thrilled. We definitely wanted to try again (and are paying the storage fees on our embryos). We just never in a million years expected it to happen like this. I don't think I truly believed I was going to have a baby last time until I was actually holding her in my arms, so I'm working on accepting this blessing a little earlier this time around. I look forward to getting to know you ladies!
Here are some treats if you made it all the way through my story.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome!! daisy818 I’m SOOOO happy to see you here friend! How’re you feeling?? I'm feeling pretty good and so grateful to be here! I've lucked out and haven't dealt with much morning sickness, although sometimes that just leads to increased anxiety (yay PAIF brain, right?) Trying to just take it one day at a time and convince myself this is actually happening.

When I was pregnant with Z I ZERO symptoms all pregnancy, and (while I realize now just how lucky I was) at the time it resulted in my keeping myself distant in a lot of ways and not truly believing I was going to be bringing home a baby.

Congrats!! I’ll be starting progesterone shots, too. Are you going to have to get them at the OB office or will you be able to do them at home?

I think I have to go to the office for the first one no matter what, though. I tried to convince them I'm very experienced in self-administered shots, and they could just give it to me, but I think maybe for insurance purposes they have to at least do the first one.

I’m probably going to make H give me mine. When I GD, I just couldn’t commit so when I gave myself insulin shots they were slow and painful. H did it and I never knew I had a shot.
