Hello there!! Over here from Dec16! R was born at 38w5d on 11/27 so a little over a week old. This is my third to BF.
My question is she seems to be spitting up quite a bit. It is sometimes just a little which I an not worried about but there has been a couple of times where it is quite a bit and just this morning it even came out of her nose. Yesterday I cut out dairy just to see if that's it but don't believe so. Any insight?

Both of my kids were "happy spitters". They didn't cry or seem uncomfortable, but man they spit up a ton.
We just stocked up on extra clothes (for all of us) and rolled with it.
If she's gaining weight and doesn't seem upset by it, there's really not much you can do. Our doc said they likely had underdeveloped esophageal sphincters, which allowed for the regurgitation.

+1 if she's a happy spitter i wouldn't worry about it. kellymom.com/hot-topics/reflux/do you think that you may have overactive letdown? does LO seem overwhelmed with the amount of milk that's coming out and start choking or gagging? or pull off the breast and puss periodically? if that's the case you can try positioning her in a different way (see here: kellymom.com/bf/got-milk/supply-worries/fast-letdown/) and/or letting your milk flow into a towel for a minute so that she's not overwhelmed by the quantity of milk coming out.

Thanks ladies! It doesn't seem to bug her at all so that's good. Thank you for the resources!
