What’s the easiest app for tracking all the feedings diapers naps etc. I was very go with the flow do what she wants and that was working until lately. So I want to see what the natural patterns are before I worry if something needs to change +1 for BabyConnect

G can finally sit by himself! I've been making a point to work with him. MIL has made some comments about him 'being behind'. Apparently all her kids were fucking prodigies with early milestones. He can now also go backwards, not really at a crawl but its something. And they never cried and slept through the night at 3 weeks, eh??!!!

V is 6 months! Her appt is next week and I can’t wait to see how big she had gotten. She has 2 teeth and sits up alone. We started BLW last week and she is loving it and is so proud of herself when she is feeding herself. Looking forward to Christmas. V needs new clothes and some new developmentally appropriate toys so hopefully the grandparents listened to my requests and didn’t go overboard 😂😂😂😂 Yea right.

We've had one family Xmas party already and DS2 got a few noisy things. I'm taking some back because we have some that we kept from DS1 so I don't need even MORE noise in my house 😂
On the update front; DS2 is doing aweeeesome! He's 3 1/2 months, growing like a weed, and eating like a beast. Sleep is pretty....meh. Some nights we'll get just one wake up; usually it's 2. Daytime naps are hit or miss too. I'm impatiently waiting for him to be able to roll back to front so he can sleep in his own bed on his belly which will hopefully help his sleep a ton.

DS2 is on a formula strike 😪 I’m trying to remember if DS1 did this as well or not.. Is it a problem with the nipple size? V seemed to only want small amounts and then we switched to the next size nipple and she was back to 6 oz bottles.

He won’t take the sippy nipples either which are his next option. We’re pushing the sippy nipples

We are at the ILs and there are babies everywhere and it’s chaos. J just got over a cold and has a couple of good days but all the other kids are sick and his nose started running again. I’m still finishing up his stocking and getting excited about Christmas. I think he’ll be most excited for all the wrapping paper!

He seems to be slowly accepting the bottle again. He doesn’t get much of a choice since we only offer solids twice a day and boobs aren’t an option. He has to eat at some point...

DS1 didn’t really care for Christmas (he was 11 months his first) the first two years. It took all day for him to open them DS2 is all about the paper now at 8 months

So... we shouldn’t let them try to eat it?
Asking for a friend
...You really don’t want to know what my toddler has eaten in his short life

cmb lol teachermomtobe I know you mentioned your DD is a belly sleeper. DD likes to sleep on her stomach. I kept flipping her and making her an angry baby. She rolls back to belly 10000 times a day She’s only rolled belly to back once two days ago. So I haven’t been bothering her. But checking on her a ton. When did you leave DD alone? Asking for my mental health The rule of thumb is that, as long as they put themselves there, it’s okay for them to sleep that way. She will probably yell for you to come rescue her from the awfuls of her belly MOTN for a few weeks. I don’t think they realize they can’t flip back over so they wake up doing evil tummy time... the horror! It’s often a game changer for their sleep, though!

Asking for my mental health I totally get your worry. I still sometimes just make sure she is breathing. Yes, once they can get to their belly on their own it’s safe to leave them there, even pedi said so when I asked. She didn’t consistently roll belly to back again for awhile but she was strong enough to push herself up and yell which made me feel better.

Any kiddos get cool gifts you want to share with the class? ILs got us a zoo membership that I'm really excited about. I'm so glad they took the suggestion for an experience versus a pile of toys we have no room for!

Mil made fun of our requests for experiences versus gifts. So we have lots of toys.

Mil made fun of our requests for experiences versus gifts. So we have lots of toys. Wouldn't it just be a shame if she got a terrible birthday gift this year? (But for real, that's rude and honestly probably less expensive than a pile of toys.)

They got Tegu magnetic blocks. DS2 got the zany zoo from target and loves it when he’s not trying to pull it down on himself. DS1 was only interested in the new trains he got.
we made a big donation to daycare of unwan... er, I mean, “unused” toys right after. Daycare was very thankful for the mega blocks, Tonka trucks, and other ridiculous items my ILs were determined to buy anyway
