My big girl picked out a book for him (to read to her). I may do something similar for A. This is what we do for Fathers Day!

Snow day here today! M was mesmerized and stood at our French doors watching for a long time. She was excited to go out side while it was still coming down too. We only get one snow day a year so it’s always special. Unfortunately it meant we didn’t make it to the ILs mountain house where we were planning to spend the weekend so that was disappointing.

carrots we're suppose to get some snow today and I am excited! Ds and the dog will go nuts. I'm not sure how dd will react. 3 out of 4 of us are still sick so it's going to be a calm resting day. Hopefully we can improve a bit so we're not miserable at my nephew's christening tomorrow. I'm going to pop out to the consignment store today but that's all I have planned.

I'm annoyed E swim class was cancelled today yesterday morning bc of the predicted snow and it's not even snowing yet. I hope the snow holds out long enough so I can run some errands soon.

We ended up with 4-5 inches of snow. Ds is loving it. I brought some in on a baking tray for dd and after her initial wtf reaction, she liked it. There's been a ton of birds at the feeder since it started. They look extra pretty with the snow. Ds has been watching them with me. My favorite is when he says blue jay because it sounds like "boo hay". Cardinal as "car-nawl" is decently cute too. Christening for my nephew is today, it's after mass around 12:30. This is me envisioning how keeping two semi-sick kids chill during an hour long mass and then christening, that close to a 1pm nap time, and then handing them off to relatives to hold (Dd is in a super clingy, stranger danger phase) while my husband and I stand up during the actual christening is going to go:

Omg my period is starting. Because I needed one more thing to deal with. At least I noticed now instead of church. Never thought I'd miss period cramps but I don't like these surprise periods.

Lakes we had literally the exact same situation last month - we are godparents for our friends baby who was baptized after 11:30 mass (12:00 naptime here) and then had a reception at their house after. The kids hung in there much better than I expected so hopefully you’ll have the same! I get anxious when my kids get off schedule bc I expect them to be a disaster but they usually handle it better than I expect.

We got about 3-4 inches I brought E out in the snow for a few minutes she hated it. Ah well. I did salt dough handprint ornaments yesterday with E's hand they came out ok it was tough getting her to sit still for the handprint.

Plus Grandpop will be there which is an ace in the hole for guaranteed good behavior. My only concern is poor sick and grumpy dd. She's so sad and stuffy 😠She sounds like Darth Vader when she's nursing.
