We did a quick trip to NYC this weekend - stayed the night Saturday night. I am so SORE. We walked close to 15 miles in about 28 hours.. I'm way too old and too pregnant for that! We did have a great time though and it was not super cold so it made it even more enjoyable.

typical day here - laundry and grocery shopping. i need to come up with some healthier dinner plans for the week. i figure if i have a plan during the week it will be easier to eat better and then i can do whatever on he weekends. anyone interested in a meal planning thread?
i'm hoping to make some progress on the house this week. h finally finished putting in the closet in our room! i can finally put my stuff away. we got the crib and the dresser for the nursery and are just waiting on the rug. i can start thinking more about decorations and details. the 3rd (and hopefully final) vanity should arrive for the bathroom today. and we are just waiting on the rug and furniture for the living room - which all should be here by the end of the week. i am getting pretty anxious to just have it all done and i'm sure you guys are sick of hearing complain about it all.

Nothing exciting here. Bad insomnia last night and I'm so tired.
The last of the Christmas gifts I ordered arrive today. I got all of my Christmas cards addressed and mailed out this weekend. It feels good to be about done with all the Christmas prep and can just sit back and enjoy.

I had some sort of a weird allergic reaction to something last night and then didn't sleep well. But I had already booked a gym class for the morning (530) and when I showed up, it was a partner workout and I felt like I had to push hard in order to not let my partner down. omg I haven't run so fast or rowed so hard in months.
So, I'm totally pooped and the day hasn't even started. Lol. I just sat down at my desk with a cup of hot tea. I hope the day goes fast!

H is back at work after having the weekend off and the big kid is back at school after having last week off due to strep. We had super busy weekend and now today is back to normal. I'm tired and still feeling a bit under the weather. Wednesday, I have my anatomy scan and on Thursday, I have a normal OB appointment. I think H & I may attempt to finish Christmas shopping on Wednesday, too.

DH texted me last night with a picture of an outfit he wanted to buy for baby. I think he's just excited to buy some baby boy stuff after buying all baby girl things the past 4 years. He went ahead and bought it and asked of it was okay that it would baby's take-home outfit when we leave the hospital. He was so darn cute about it all, how could I possibly say no? 😆
I'll have to post a pic once the outfit arrives.

Good luck today yianna! Hope the scan goes well. calendula major props to you for exercising still and so hard core too! I barely make it up and down my stairs without feeling out of breath. I could not imagine rowing or running right now! tinyjoys good luck at your a/s on Wednesday! |

Lazy day today. It's rainy and we have no reason to get out.
Anatomy Scan on Wednesday. My MIL says she not sick and is going to watch DD for us. After I hope we can sneak in lunch and some Christmas shopping before we need to pick up DD so MIL can go to my niece and nephews Christmas program.
I'm honestly kind of dreading the AS. I can't put my finger on why. Possibly because I actually almost peed myself last time.

My inlaws annoy the eff out of me. My MIL, BIL & his family are going out of town for Christmas. We made plans many weeks to do Christmas at my house on the 17th. MIL comes over that weekend anyway to help us decorate sugar cookies. Now, BIL & MIL decided that we're going to just do pizza at MIL's instead that weekend. Nope. I'm not going to MIL's and listening to her scream & the dogs jumping all over, and just no. Either they come here or we don't celebrate Christmas with them, simple as that. Good thing H is on my side with this.

I am laying in bed still. I should get up and accomplish a few things before I have to go to work later. I hate work. Lol. We put up our Christmas lights last night and everything looks so good!! I am super happy to have that done. Our tree is up and lit but no ornaments. So I think I need to do that today. Our house is a cluttered mess. We were supposed to fix that this weekend. We got so many things done but the house is still cluttered. Ugh. I should really get out of bed  |

tinyjoys good luck with your scan!! What is the point of them not coming to your house? Is it a long drive for them? That just seems dumb to not accept your offer to host, especially when plans have been made for weeks. I am glad you and your husband are on the same page about it. I would be so annoyed.

We live about 20 minutes away from them, tops. BIL likes to do this, say he's good with plans & then change them. MIL has been coming to our house for Thanksgiving since FIL passed away in 2015. BIL has spent the last, oh 8 Thanksgivings at his wife's family's cabin hunting. He decided this year that he was going to stay home and talked MIL into hosting for them. We still stayed home & did our normal thing. H talks to MIL on Black Friday: she made dinner and then spent the day alone because BIL decided to go hunting anyway, and his wife went to her family's Thanksgiving dinner and SIL ate with MIL, but otherwise spent the day in her room and then went out with a friend immediately following dinner. No. I'm not letting him change these plans again. |

I got a lot of the baby's things organized this weekend (still in bags, lol) but everything is all together now and I took inventory of what I have. Just waiting for the basement to be done before we do room switches and I can start officially nursery decorating🙌🏻

Warning super venting ahead:
I am so ready to be not pregnant anymore...and I'm only 21 weeks. I spent all weekend alternating between being nauseous and vomiting. The only thing I managed to do all weekend was to perform in a concert yesterday, and I flat out told DH that the only reason I was going was because there was only two flute players showing up and I was one of them. I was proud of myself and managed to hold off being sick until I got home. Sorry for the complaining, but I'm really tired of not feeling good and the meds lately seem to be giving me very little relief.

Mh is making me wait until January to work on the nursery because of school. I'm very impatient and want to do it now but don't want to stress him out.

And I'm home today. I've had a horrible headache since last night that's on the edge of turning into a migraine. DD was super whiny this morning so I kept her home with me since she had a fever this weekend. She's had a hoarse voice since last Wednesday but no real cough so I'm wondering if she has laryngitis. I made a doctor's appt for her this afternoon just to be sure.

I gave a TON of stuff away in the smaller sizes, so I need to see what I have and make a list of the essentials. I will say - this is one of my FAV things to do.
