Last night of guaranteed uninterrupted sleep, so what do I do? Forget to take my Zantac at dinner and get hit with awful reflux from 3-5am. Womp womp. Have to report to the hospital at 4pm for cervical softening, induction tomorrow morning at 7. Eeep good luck

So far I'm surviving my first full day home alone with both kids! DD is done with preschool until January and MH had to work, so here we are. It's almost 5:00 and we're only on our third episode of Daniel Tiger, so not so bad!
We went out for pancakes for breakfast, then we went to pick out Christmas ornaments at Hallmark. This afternoon we made Christmas cookies. All in all a nice little day.

typo31 - Those pictures are so amazing!!! Anyone else's baby pretty fussy when awake? R is usually fussy when she is awake which is unlike our other two. I think part of it is gas. But I'm hesitant to give any thing like gripe water. On better news, R's weight check was today and she is noe gaining like she should. Up to 8lbs 7oz.

Mom flew back this morning. ☹️
Today is my first day home alone with the newborn. I’m not too worried. I am worried about my first day home alone with both him and toddler but since dh is spacing out some days off through the holidays, it won’t be until Jan when I’m more healed.
Dd cried out so dh brought her into our bed at 1:30. So then for 4 am feeding I went in her room to feed, but per usual DS was fussy and wouldn’t go down without rocking. So at one point I looked down and our whole family was in our queen bed. Everyone else asleep but mom. 😒

My son cannot even be bothered to open his eyes to nurse.... Isn't that the worst? That's when I feel E's latch is the crappiest. When he's sleepy he is such a lazy Nurser.

Feeling like a newb mom here, but last night and again today E's poop was more green than yellow. He had a yellow poop earlier today. It still has the same consistency as the yellow poop but I don't remember N having green poop at all. E doesn't spit up, no rashes, wheezing, or anything else concerning. He is pretty gassy but doesn't have any issues pushing the gas out. Should I be concerned? My doctor told me not to google anything and I'm trying to follow her instructions.

I think occasional green poop is ok, but I would call your de just to be sure.

First night on my own with 2. H left to return to his deployment. Cue all the ugly crying I could muster today. My eyes will be swollen for days now. We had 1 enormous meltdown from DD1 at bedtime, resulting in her being up until close to 11 and then a blow out diaper by DD2 which resulted in her screaming and waking up DD1. Feeling a little overwhelmed tonight. April cannot get here soon enough. 😞

Thank you and your husband for your service.

Thanks ladies! Last night was rough, but we made it. I feel like a zombie this morning but I keep telling myself I have nowhere I need to be today so I can hopefully get some rest in! ldubhawksfan yes I live in an inlaw in my parents house so family is right here. We moved back here when DD1 was newborn during DHs last deployment so when we found out about this deployment we moved back over the summer while DH was away for training so we could be settled before DD2 got here. I’m really lucky that my family is so close and so willing to help. For now the nights will be rough but hopefully this little lady becomes a star sleeper like her older sister was!

I’m so glad you have your family close! I hope this phase passes quickly. Newborn phase has a way of lasting forever in the moment but is really a blip in time. Fx she settles into an A+ sleeper!
