enchanted - Are the teachers working with you? And a hold back from K is so typical. My sister was held back and it was the best thing for her. She just wasn't ready socially. That one year made a big difference for her. FX it's a phase and he works it out quickly. J is 4.5. Nothing really to report. She hit a growth spurt so I've been swapping out all her clothing. Of course I bought her the wrong size underwear so she's been dealing with wedgies all week LOL It's not really funny, but hearing her tell me about her wedgies is pretty damn adorable LOL Oh, and we're signed up for more dance classes for winter/spring and she needs swim lessons. I have no clue how to make this work with our already busy schedule. But swim lessons are a must - that's a life skill she needs. QOTW: It was okay. I had a stomach flu, so I didn't eat at all and my parents were challenging. Overall I'd give it a 2/10, unfortunately.

enchanted - That's tough. My nephew is HUGE (he's 13 and over 5'7" already) and at 4 everyone thought he was 8. I totally get it. It sounds like the one teacher has a great grasp of the problem. Boredom is so hard for young kids. J was acting out in preschool and they ended up moving her up a bit earlier than usual and *boom* behavior issues solved. Maybe he's ready! Can they offer him additional work or activities during the day? IDK how your pre-K operates. I know in J's class they do stations for part of the day and the teachers can alter the work each student does based on needs. Maybe they can give DS some more challenging work? Or send some home? Sounds like you have a smarty pants over there

DS1 (6) has had a good week. Remember how he was really struggling with reading? Something has just clicked with him in the last couple of weeks, and although he's still behind, he's really improved. He's been reading for fun every evening at bedtime, and he LOVED reading bedtime stories to his younger cousins and little brother over the weekend. We've also knocked out three Magic Treehouse books in less than a week. He just can't get enough lately.
He fell at my parents' and gave himself a giant goose egg on his forehead. It looks terrible and he's been taking advantage of it to try to get out of things like PE even though he's totally fine.
