While we were home for Thanksgiving break we must have watched "Hawana" (Moana) at least once a day. And when we weren't watching it, we were listening to the sound track. It's the first thing she asks to do when she gets home or up in the morning. I'm lucky that it's a good movie, but after the billionth time hearing the songs I want to rip my ears off.
Anyone else have a LO who has an obsession? I can't be alone in my misery.

Hawana!" Sorry about the teething LO, that's never fun. Hopefully you can get some good snuggles in though.

The Grinch. He loves the Grinch.
"The Grinch is bad guy." "The Grinch hate Christmas." "The Grinch is good guy." "You da Grinch." "I da Grinch."
He's also obsessed with "bad guys." This morning he told me "There no bad guys at Legoland."

This morning he told me "There no bad guys at Legoland." Which Grinch movie, the original or the one with Jim Carey? I watched the original so many times I practically have it memorized. K hasn't figured out good and bad guys yet, but she's starting to get when characters are in "peril". She now gasps loudly and shouts "hae hae" over and over when he falls off the boat.

DD is obsessed with puppies. She could watch YouTube videos of puppies all day long. Her favorite is a puppy (Sammy) getting a bath and then playing in a ball pit. The video has like 10 million views so I am assuming there are other kids somewhere who are also obsessed with this video. Also, she is obsessed with all things Minnie, Elmo or airplane.

Before I was a parent, I would look at some of the view counts of some of the stupid shit on there and go "how does this have 10 million views." Now i don't even question it. There's a video by little baby bum on there with over a billion views. I think it's one of the top ten videos on YouTube. Im pretty sure my household has contributed 1,000 of those views.

Paw Patrol! And play-doh. They will both play with it for hours and hours. Someone here gave me a make it myself recipe so I don't feel bad when they leave it out.
A had been telling stories about wolves. Not sure why.
Oh and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball 2. Its not that bad of a movie really.

YouTube disney songs. He will watch those for hours. Also the alphabet. My 2 year old is this close to reading. He knows all his letters on sight and what sounds they make.

Anyone else have a LO who has an obsession? I can't be alone in my misery. LO also loves Moana although she just knows the music, she can’t sit through a movie yet... we’ve done the music videos on YouTube a few times but she loves the music mostly. Especially, you’re welcome. She waits for the part where the rock says “this guy” and she points at herself and goes “dis guy” and add in the “oh” and the “thank you” at the end. Lol. It’s definitely replaced trolls as her favorite music She is really into music in general, which she calls “tunes” which she asks for approximately 5000 times a day. And if you play music that’s not what she wants she just keeps shouting “tuuuuunes” On TV it’s pretty much bubble guppies or bust. She is also obsessed with shoes and colors. She brings me shoes every 5 minutes, constantly wants to take hers on and off, likes to wear daddy’s shoes and walk down the hall saying “silly”. She loves all markers and pens, like not the even coloring just holding them and choosing and naming colors (I’m a planner girl so we have an f-ton if markers and pens). And also “brushing” her teeth. Any time she sees a toothbrush she wants it and won’t give it up. She also loves my electric toothbrush.

Fire trucks! DH took him to a Christmas tree lighting Monday night and all DS would talk about seeing was the fire truck. Not Santa, the tree, or even Grandma.
YouTube videos. Thankfully he's not as obsessed with the finger song as he used to be--lately he loves these weird animated ones that are supposed to teach kids colors (even though he's known his colors for a while now).

It took me several times of reading your post to realize he's saying UPS truck. Lol. I was like "I don't know what a poo truck is, but I don't want it bringing me any packages!"

The hungry caterpillar. I let her open a couple gifts early: hungry caterpillar plush and book. Netflix has a cartoon of the book too. She watches it over and over. Then wants me to read the book. She started putting her plush with her table and wants me to give it a snack. She makes the nom, nom, nom noise too. I need to find this on Netflix. We have the hungry Caterpillar game on my phone, but it's to hard for her to play with without help and she gets bored easily with it. She does like the book though.

A had been telling stories about wolves. Not sure why. Oh and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball 2. Its not that bad of a movie really. Making my own playdoh was the best. I made a huge batch and just pull out a hunk when she asks to play with it and I throw it out when she's done because I don't know what she does with it but it gets gross fast.

My cousin could read well at the age of 3 and was reading chapter books by five. That's awesome that he knows all his letters and sounds already!

K loves pens and colouring, but we are still working on naming colours. Everything is either green, yellow, or blue. Green is more recent, so at least we are adding to her color vocabulary.

Your DS would have loved the parade we went to this past weekend. Firetrucks galore! K was not into it. She liked the police cars but the firetrucks scare her. It's kind of thrown us for a loop since H's almost entire family worked as firemen and my it's house is covered in fire trucks of all kinds.

At the beginning everything was yellow, then she added purple. Now she can do blue, green, red, orange (which sounds so cute when she says it, she pronounces a g in the middle of a word as “ch” so it’s “oh-wich”) brown, black and white. She definitely still gets confused sometimes and shades are tough, but she knows them. At Gymboree we practice running to all the different mat colors.

Dd wakes up and asks for MoMo (Elmo) so I’d say she’s obsessed. Moana and frozen are also in heavy rotation. She is really fixated on the moon and horses as well.

DS1 is obsessed with PJ Masks and Cat in the Hat Knows a lot about That.
DS2 cycles. Some weeks it’s Barney, Some is the Volleyball Airbud movie, some weeks a video of trains (real ones) just chugging along, sometimes it’s various music videos. I feel like I’ll never catch up with him.

DD is obsessed with Mickey/doc mcstuffins/elmo. But more than that she’s obsessed with looking at photos/videos of herself LOL
She is very serious about her letters and knows the whole alphabet, plus several numbers. She will not take a bath without her foam letters and numbers.
And cookies. I hear COOKIE COOKIE COOKIE all day long.

Moana. Although, I really like it and don’t find it torture (even after the the 50th time through).
Music. Any and all. We currently play The Nutcracker ballet a lot for her. Do you have any idea how creepy the Baryshnikov version is? Yikes. It was the only free one on Prime. I’ll be buying a less scary one.

Sarah and Duck. But it's a really cute cartoon, so I don't mind yet. Duck is there only word she'll reliably say with meaning because she wants to watch it all the time. I wanted to get her some Sarah and Duck toys for the holidays, but they are nearly impossible to get in the US. I ordered her some books and I'm debating a backpack.

billyhorrible DS1 is also obsessed with the Grinch. He loves running around and saying, "oh no! The grinch is coming to steal the toys!" Also, if he does anything naughty, like throwing food on the floor, he blames the Grinch.
