C is napping, B is doing watercolors, and I’m trying to get the last of the Christmas decorations out. They don’t work as well here as in our last house (chalk up another round to #joysofmoving) so I may try to add some things this year.
No big plans today, just housework and probably more laundry.

I wanted to get O a chocolate advent calendar but I’m still not sure what was causing those tongue sores so I’m hesitant to introduce a daily dose of chocolate.

I just got some Muck boots that I ordered for S from Zulily. They are adorable...but don’t fit. Boo! But, when I called them, they are crediting my account and they told me to keep them anyway! So now I’m going to see if I can sell them.

I ordered a lame cheap advent calendar on Amazon thinking I'd get a nicer one next year. It came and is even lamer than expected. And the numbers aren't in order? Is that normal? I've never used an advent calendar before. Some advent calendars have the numbers all over the place. Every calendar I've ever had or seen had the numbers out of order.

I missed a call from my OB's office this morning. They were still closed so when I called back, I couldn't get anyone. Of course this was as DH was boarding his flight. I was worried there was a problem with my ultrasound yesterday. Thankfully, my sister had their secret phone number I'm not suppose to know and they just needed to change the time of my appointment tomorrow.

I’d give my kids the cheap chocolates and keep this one for me!!! klong11 do you still watch Fear the Walking Dead? They are filming in Austin this week. Also, are y’all still watching the Walking dead? I’m going to finish the season then I’m dumping it. I’m just not into it at all anymore. No, I watched the first season of it, then fell off. I wasn't attached to any of the characters. I missed the most recent episode of TWD, but I'll watch it during the week. This season isn't very appealing as of yet, though. I was lukewarm on Fear the Walkers Dead but the last season really picked up and I like it now. I'm about to give up on TWD. It's completely lost my interest. I look forward to it every week and it seems like nothing exciting happens anymore. They're dragging it out too long.

Hope S' fever continues to come down, trtlcrzy. I'm glad you went to the ER right away; I wouldn't hesitate with a temp that high either.

Our advent calendar is a a felt star that you move day to day from the Target dollar spot. lol. I should probably up my game.
I'm at work. My dad is watching H today, thankfully. His HFM looks much better, but not completely gone. I talked to daycare and there are now 11 reported cases. yikes! So N is at preschool and then will be going to grandpas too instead of going to daycare. It might be overkill, but I really want to prevent her from getting this before her bday party this weekend.

trtlcrzy, i hope you all get rest at home and her fever stays down tgrimes I love that loccitone calendar! Our advent calendar is a cloth Santa with numbered pockets on the beard. You move a candy cane from box to box. We are still getting rid of Halloween Candy and I don't meed more little toys around the house so I wanted something like this. I might look to see if i can find little notes to put in the pockets to read each day.

tgrimes your MIL is the best. I got a paw patrol one, but now I want the little people one for N. We do not need 48 more little things to clean up though.

trtlcrzy Holy crap I would have had a heart attack with a fever that high. I hope she's feeling better. Poor baby and poor you. C had one that high before and I remember being shocked when I called the pedi and they didn't tell me to immediately take him to the ER! H had a high fever once (I think it was like 104) and I was able to bring it down with Motrin and a bath. I called the next morning to the after hours nurse since it was the weekend and she yelled at me for not taking her in to the ER immediately. So now if either of them get a high fever I call. Last night I didn’t even call, I just took her in.

Thanks everyone. We got home and went straight to bed. S’s fever isn’t back so that’s good, but I’ll probably give her some Motrin before nap later anyway.

Omg. In the car wash and it just stopped. There are literally those big blue brushes in front of and over us.
There are employees sprinting all over the place.
This is up there with getting stuck in an elevator, minus the possibility of free-falling.

Last night I didn’t even call, I just took her in. Dude only had one this high, and we took him to CHOC immediately. They said that was the right thing to do but always go ahead and administer BOTH Motrin and Tylenol at the same time right away before heading to the hospital to start bringing it down. The fever can climb quickly otherwise and there is a risk of febrile seizures.

We’re in line for lunch at the deli now—I felt I deserved something delicious after that!

Glad you're okay, flamingo. Happy to hear that as fever is down and that you're home, @trylcrzy. Back from preschool drop off, Charlie is napping, and I'm reading through my crazier Facebook moms groups. Such entertainment with my 2nd cup of coffee. UO stemming from the threads I'm reading there-- I don't like the word naughty.
