No weekend thread? Where is everyone? I hung out with thisbitch from th general board yesterday, which was a lot of fun. Today I ran a jingle bell jog— my ninth NYRR race of the year, which means I’ve secured guaranteed marathon entry for 2018! The trains were really messed up this morning. I ended up helping/ traveling with a local running legend to and from the race. He is 79 years old and ran his first NYC Marathon at the age of 60, and has run every year since. He runs most of the other races too, and he has a distinctive look and runs holding bells. He’s really amazing and it was so cool to get the opportunity to talk with him for a prolonged time.

Abigail has puked 4 times in the past hour. This could be a looong night. Just put her to bed at her request and I'm hoping I don't end up cleaning puke from the crib.

That sounds awesome coconutbacon! I worked this morning and then after lunch we went to a car show. I'm hoping we get the tree decorated tomorrow.

Three more pukes. I'm afraid to put her in the crib. She's been sleeping in my lap in the rocker with a bucket ready by my side. Poor girl. If we can get through an hour without more puking I may risk the crib so I don't have to sit here all night.

Yesterday was a fun but busy day. We had my work kids event in the morning. M had a blast, but was not a fan of Santa. He did calm down some when he was in H's lap and Santa have him a candy. So that's or Santa picture so far this year. I do think we'll have a few more chances at other events. When I was looking through my pictures later I saw H had unintentional gotten a picture of M freaking out when I first walked up with him to see Santa. H and I both agreed it was sad, not funny. That picture has obviously been deleted.
We also went to a friend's house for football in the afternoon. I cooked things for it, and now my back and hips are sore this morning. I'm only 12 weeks, I don't even want to think about how I'm going to feel later. I think ill try to find a good prenatal yoga YouTube and see if that helps.

Keeping busy around here.. finally got off my butt to decorate the house for Christmas. H was going to handle the outside but then we discovered most of our outdoor lights crapped out on us. So we are trying to replace them and I have a big front window that I haven't decided how I want to decorate yet.
Got out of the house for a little while yesterday by myself which was great. Did some shopping (for me!!!) at Old Navy then met a friend at a craft show. I may head out to Michael's today to look for the aforementioned decoration for our large window

aydee, that is my life this weekend too. Friday it was L, and this morning it is DS. not to mention we had a birthday party for a close friend this afternoon and I feel bad that we're going to have to skip. They rented a gym for the kids and my kids are like half the kids that were coming. I'm sure none of them want the flu but it's crappy timing for sure. Maybe just L and I will go.

My mom picked up E a couple of hours ago so I could rest...I made 3 meatloaves, put dinner for tomorrow night in the IP (chick pea curry), swept and mopped and put up new curtains. Oh and I just put brownies in the oven. Because I need some yummy chocolate. DH is going to laugh about the brownies. He's been working on spackling. Notsomuch resting I guess...She'll be here in about half an hour though so I'll make myself sit until then. Great job getting in all the races/requirements to qualify for NYCM coconutbacon! Have you run a full before? DH ran his first half yesterday and got the bug. Pretty bad. He asked what I think about him training for another one in April. My due date is Feb 7...I kept myself calm and suggested we see how this baby is before he actually registers. He normally runs very early in the morning before E and I wake up so I reminded him that when E was first born I handed over baby duty to him usually around 4am so I could get a couple of hours of sleep. He somehow forgot about that!??!!! I understand wanting to train, really I do. But I think he's forgetting I'll have put off at least 4 years before I start up again... that sounds kind of complain-y but I am glad he is enjoying the running! It is my greatest love, besides the people I love. jedi, is DS1 eating at home this weekend too? I hope so! I think I lost track of your attempts at getting him to see some specialists but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that you get him in to see someone that can really help! mrspiatt, awesome deal on the kayaks! I think we'll end up getting one at some point. We have a SUP and a canoe (but I hate the canoe!) and I feel like a kayak would be a good addition for us. Oh yuck aydee. How is everyone doing today? Ugh, same for your household, CestLaVie.

easternshoregirl he is. He always ate at home but it was challenging. Still some typical 5 yr old picky behavior. As far as a specialist. We might have a lead. Our pedi is recommending children’s or the University of MN but neither has called me back yet. A friend told me about a doctor her son sees who is a developmental pediatrician. Her son has adhd and asd. The doctor specializes in adhd. I’m hopeful. It should be easy to transfer his stuff. I heard about this dr on Friday night. Going to call tomorrow morning

easternshoregirl, I have run a full before— I’ve actually done the NYC marathon six times, but I think the last time was when I was 30 (I’m 36 now), so it’s been a while! I’m nervous and excited to do another. I’ll probably try for 9 +1 (the +1 is a volunteer shift), qualification again over the next year, because it’s a good way to keep on track with training. But yeah— training with a newborn would be near impossible for either parent!

Post and run just to say that Abigail is back to herself today, thank goodness! So far nobody else seems to be sick, knock on wood! Will catch up later. I'm off to grocery shop and go for a run. CestLaVie, so sorry you guy are dealing with the same thing. We also had to cancel plans today- we were supposed to be hosting brunch.

I hope the doctor works out, jedi. Thanks. I’m feeling optimistic. Especially if we can get in quickly. And my friend highly recommends her. She said her son had seen a lot of doctors and she’s been the best. Here’s a short area if interest.

I hate my insurance company. I’ve been trying to log onto their website for several hours to see if the doctor I am calling tomorrow is in network and I’m getting system errors. There is no message on their website saying they are doing system updates or anything.
