Sorry to unload. OT called and they don’t have a referral yet. But she said that it’s rare for an insurance company to cover OT for sensory processing disorder. She’s going to try but we I have zero hope.

Well, my bigger kids have ear infections and the littlest has a cold. Hoping the meds help quickly! Meanwhile, we've had unseasonably nice weather and been stuck inside sick all week.

After a frustrating experience with Verizon this week, I learned that Google has a cellphone plan. Guess who's getting a new phone plan?

I'm sorry for all the frustration jediAfter eventually talking to Best Buy and usps, Best Buy said they would send me another on this am. Then this afternoon the post office calls to tell me they found it and put it in a package locker. So now I will need to take one back. Lol. Better thank not having one

armpants, that's always exciting when you start to tell people! How many weeks are you now? 12 weeks on Saturday. I announced early, but I honestly couldn't hide it any longer.

Up for the day! Lol, yeah right. But I do get to walk today, which I am currently excited for and by the time anyone reads this will be bitching about, I’m sure

walking was the worst - they made me walk the same day Peekaru, and it sucked. but walking does help - so after that first time, when you feel a burst of energy force yourself to move.

Part of it is they stopped his medication. But he’s been off it a few days and this is the first time he’s eaten it all. So I’m not sure. He got the same thing the day before so 🤷♀️

jedi- I’m sorry you’re going through so much crap. I’m glad you had a small win yesterday and I hope he continues eating. mommabakes- I hope you all start to feel better and you get to sleep soon. Peekaru- Walking was awful when I had A, but a bit easier after J. Walk as much as you can, but don’t overdo it. To the bathroom and back to bed is a great start.

RunsforWineandCarbs- congrats on passing your test! Good luck at the US today? I’m sorry if I missed it, are you having problems again or is this just a follow up? Have a blast at the beach!

mrspiatt, it's a follow up to check on the remaining half of the thyroid - to ensure it isn't "overworking".

I had my 2 week follow up yesterday and the doc said I’m doing great in my recovery. She said I can get the IUD again if I want it even though I had my tubes removed (so that I don’t get my period), I think I’ll be doing this in a couple months. I scored 8 on my PPD screening, anything below a 14 is good, so yay? I’m definitely starting to feel the baby blues and finding myself pullback from everything. H is back at work and I’m doing okay with both kids, In making myself visit a friend today. I already canceled on her once this week because of anxiety and made up a story about why I wasn’t going. Sorry for rambling, I’m trying to hold myself accountable for things and it’s slightly easier to post here than in N17.

I am not really looking forward to this weekend. I have to take DS to the ped tomorrow morning to recheck his ear and then I have to do a top to bottom clean of the house - dust, vacuum, clean all stainless appliances, etc. I also have to remove EVERYTHING from all counter tops and surfaces so the real estate agent can have the house photographed on Sunday. He also said "you don't have to de-christmasfy, but you do have to move the tree out of the photos". Guys. I have an 8.5 foot tree. That is fully decorated. That we now have to carry into another room for all of 2.5 minutes.

mrspiatt, do not cancel on your friend. it will be good for you to get out. remember to take it one day at a time. and when you start feeling down, try to think of something that makes you really happy. Hugs, i know what it's like with baby blues...you can pull ahead of it! I already think you are, because you are aware of it and trying to combat it.

If we can just take the pics with the tree and then update the listing with a new photo after the holidays.

They are going to start Isaac on a low dose of anxiety meds. They don’t necessarily think this will help his adhd but overall I think it will help him with his anxious behaviors which might help the adhd a little? Something like that anyway

Well... I got a message that Isaac ate his whole lunch again plus part of a hot lunch at school! Unfortunately, the impulse behaviors have doubled. I’m working on a lengthy email of suggestions to try (which I suggested previously well some of them) as well as requesting communication at least every few days.

It’s funny how things work. How certain choices or things happen and as a result something happens and so on.
I went on a field trip back at the beginning of October. I met a mom who had a kid like Isaac. So similar. We swapped numbers and text here and there. Trying to get a play date set up but schedules are different. We were chatting via text tonight and I told her in a nutshell what’s going on. She told me the experiences she’s heard about the places we’re being referred to and how she wouldn’t go there. (We might not even make it in anyway. I’m not sure either that our dr suggested is taking new patients). She hasn’t heard good things though. she told me about her doctor and his great she’s been with her son. Adhd, SPD and asd. That’s she’s been the best out of all the ppl they’ve seen. Not only is this person a developmental pedi but shes taking new patients. And my friend said she thinks we could get in within a month. I mean I met her because our boys are in the same class. I’m feeling optimistic! Going to call Monday then touch base with our normal pedi on Tuesday when she’s on the office. This doctor specializes in..... adhd!

So this is happening... 2 kayaks (a tandem 3 seater and a single), 3 paddles, 3 life jackets and 3 seats for less than we would have paid from the tandem one on Black Friday. These are obviously used, but it’s over $2K worth of stuff for a quarter of the price. H and Worm are so excited. I am too, but it’ll be at least a month before I’m recovered enough to kayak.
