Ha I'm legit looking at my retirement right now to decide if I should rebalance it a little with a greater percentage of bonds. My H is going “my 401k is long term so there’s time to recover...,” but with people saying they’re just now starting back at where they were before the last crash makes me shake my head at him. Granted, we’re in our late 20s and our kids are little so we do have time, but I don’t know if it’s really worth the risk of just playing wait and see or if we should just roll it to stable stuff and wait There’s time for our investments to recover so I do agree with your DH and why I wouldn’t move ours to all bonds. I could see shifting to a slightly less aggressive portfolio, but then you may miss out on returns before a downward swing. I don’t know if we will do anything to ours. But for my parents who don’t have time to rebound, yeah I worry for them. |

I don't understand why they don't make the deficit trigger a repeal of the tax cuts they're proposing. The thing that's CAUSING THE DEFICIT TO INCREASE. Why are they trying to make education and science and medicaid suffer because their bullshit tax cuts don't produce enough growth?
