Christmas is coming so I thought we could use a thread recommending products you can't live without or requesting input from others on products we are considering buying or requesting.

I'm desperately looking for a great bread machine that isn't $200. But the reviews scare me away every time I look at a cheaper one. Anyone have an amazing experience with a bread machine?

No experience with a bread machine, but I have a question about instant pots.
What exactly does it do and why are people buying them up? Is it like a slow cooker but faster?
I feel like I need this, but I barely cook as it is.

Anyone have a good experience with a dual camera monitor? Ours is starting to crap out and I don't think I'm ready to drop a monitor for the toddler.

I feel like I need this, but I barely cook as it is. It's a pressure cooker. I was on the fence about one too but ended up getting one at Kohls when they had a really good sale and I use it all the time. I can make homemade mac n cheese in less time that it would take to make boxed kind. I can have chicken breast cooked and ready to shred (to add to salads, tacos, etc) in 10 minutes. I've done a meatloaf and potatoes all in one dish in 30 minutes. I even made an entire rack of ribs in 40 minutes (finished in the broiler to crisp up). As a working mom, it's a livesaver. I can have dinner done so much faster. I highly recommend!

bebbysue, thanks for the description. I do like the idea of faster cooking. Which size do you have?

I use the slow cooker a lot, but if you forget to put stuff in in the morning, which I do frequently, then you’re out of luck. Especially with another baby on the way I like the idea of being able to make dinner very quickly, and with little effort on my part. Do you have a cookbook that you like or would recommend, or a site where you get recipes?

It is programmable but even with that, my chicken always turns out dry. I leave at 7:15a and and don't get home until 5:30p so i feel like that is just too long for food to be cooked and then warmed. I like the IP much better! I just us Pinterest for my recipes. My coworker recently told me about a cookbook that she saw at Costco that I may have to check out though.
