Whoops I posted my birth story on N17. I blame sleep depreciation for that. Here it is in the correct board!
Hey guys, one false alarm later and I have baby boy Jameson in my arms.
So I had a very different experience with this labor and birth. After a false alarm last night, contractions kept up irregularly throughout the day. Then they started to get really intense around 5ish or so. I did my best to ignore them and go about my day. After the false alarm yesterday I figured they’d stop. After I put my DD to bed (through contractions) I tried to get ready to sleep, but they were coming every 4 minutes and were super intense. I thought maybe if I tried to sleep and rested I could get them to settle like last night. But, at 11pm I was in a lot of pain so we called the advice nurse. She told us we could come in, but may get sent home again.
This is where we had to do some juggling. We had asked friends to stay with DD, but they drove out last night only to head home. They live kinda far from us and have two kids. Plus it was late and they hadn’t answered any texts. So we frantically texted a neighbor we don’t know super well to come and stay with DD if we needed and she agreed. Still, it was pretty stressful not having a real plan just in case.
We opted to wait another hour and see what happened. I tried to taking a bath, which led to a leak in the bathroom which was special and just what we needed to deal with. After I got out of the bath, I was still having really intense contractions, but because of the false alarm, as well as my 36 hour induction with DD I was sure I’d get sent home. So I opted to drive myself to the hospital and call MH if I got admitted.
Lemme tell ya, the ER guys are terrified of pregnant women. They rushed me up to L&D like you wouldn’t believe. Took to me a room (not triage,) got checked 4cms, and admitted. Everyone worked fast. MH got DD sorted and got here just as the anesthesiologist was setting up. I got the epi maybe an hour after being admitted, got checked at 6cms. Relaxed and snoozed a bit, then things picked up again and the doc finally came in. She announced I was at 9.5 and ready to go. About 15 minutes and 3 pushes later I had Jameson!
I don’t know why my kids love to come in the dead of night, but they do. It was a completely different experience than a 3-day induction. Honestly it was so much better. I had to have a small epistomy and I have a small tear, but she said recovery shouldn’t be too bad. I’m exhausted and over the moon.
DD met her baby brother and she was really sweet. Told him “it’s ok, baby,” brought him a rock as a gift, and held him. Hopefully we’ll be home tomorrow mid-day. My parents are leaving to get to us tomorrow morning. PDQ pics will poof later.

He’s on feed 6, totally crushing it! Doesn’t even fill out NB clothes just like his sister. I forgot how long it takes to feed a NB!

Such tiny babies!
My babies were 8.2 and 8.3 - I don't know what I would do with a little baby lol.
