This is so true. Sometimes I can get M to smile and splash in the bath. Some times she hates it and screams. Some nights she wants to be swaddled some times she doesn’t. Done naps she just passes out, some naps she needs to cry for an hour first. She’s very complicated I was telling DH last night I don’t understand why sleep is so hard for some babies! Like, humans need sleep to survive. If we don’t sleep, you can die from literally no sleep, so why haven’t we evolved enough at this point to make babies sleep more!!!!! I’m sure there’s a better survival aspect to how things are right now, but I am not a fan of it so 💁🏻 It confuses me like heck as well. When I'm tired and have the oppertunity to nap I for sure will! Babies have all the time in the world to nap.. but fight it when they're tired? Wth lol. D is complicated as well @starzia LOL. Some days she does really well other days her naps are all over the place or non existent. She does pretty good in soothing herself to sleep most naps, sometimes it takes a while though. But even if she doesn't sleep, she seems content to be resting in her bassinet, which is good too I feel.

Honestly I️ wouldn’t worry about having him up and dressed. YH can still take a shower before you leave and then dress him later on? As far as waking J, do you use a cell phone or real alarm clock? I️ would just keep it close to you to turn off quickly. I’m a light sleeper though so it likely wouldn’t be going off for long. This may be really terrible but since my dh has to drop both boys off at daycare since I'm already at work, I've just been putting baby h in fleece sleep and play one piece outfits. He wears it as jammies and then all the next day so dh doesn't have to do an outfit change. I dress him cute on the weekends I don't know if that would help at all. We do this pretty regularly... and I currently SAH so theoretically have all the time in the world to get her dressed in the am Changing outfits can be such a hassle, and as long as she hasn't pooped, peed or puked on it we don't see the need to change her before bed/after waking lol. Though some days I change her into a cute outfit just for the sake of her looking cute. Even if tis just me and her at home *g*

R has been trying to roll back to stomach today, but she can’t get past her arm when she’s on her side. My baby doesn’t want to be a baby. P has been doing this too. It makes her look like such a contortionist 😂 Yep j too. He can't do stomach to back yet but I feel like he is getting close back to tummy

This kid has regressed with sleep SO badly, I don’t understand. He won’t sleep anywhere. He’ll nap in his swing and he will sleep on me, but that’s not sustainable and he barely napped yesterday and was a disaster. Yesterday was the worst day I’ve ever had with him, he won’t most of the day crying, I spent most of the day crying and having meltdowns, it was just awful. I’m still so tired but I hope today goes better. We slept til 9 and DH is home for another 20min so I can have some me time. ETA: oh and I felt like the worst mother ever bc I yelled at him to stop crying. Who yells at a baby? And then I cried more. And then I tried to cut his finger nails bc he keeps scratching himself, me, and DH so badly and I ended up cutting his skin and he screamed and cried so much, I was SOBBING bc I’m the worst 😔😣 poor DH had a lot of deal with when he got home. I'm right there with you, please don't beat yourself up. D has also regressed quite a bit with his sleep. I have also yelled at one or both of them before. And with DS1 the first time we tried to cut his nails, DH also cut his finger. He bled and wailed, we called his pediatrician and she told us, welcome to parenthood. We'll all be okay.

Sorry for the rough day jexxa! My toddler still gives zero fucks to PT and changing the shitty diapers are literally the worst 😩 Also have a non-pooping on the potty toddler over here. Yesterday they didn't put his pullup over all his butt cheeks at DC and he had poop running down his leg. When he got home, a nugget fell out of his pants. Ahh the joys of parenthood.

muscari, you have no reason to worry about D and rolling, they all do stuff on their own terms and when they are ready 😊

muscari I agree with jt2378. Also they’re all different weeks, don’t forget. R is 14 weeks and is at a different pace than her sister. I looked in T’s baby book. She rolled stomach to back at 3 months (R did it at 2 months). And, she did back to stomach at almost 4.5 months.

king26 I have been setting my alarm an hour earlier than I need to get up. Because it always wakes the baby. Then I feed her and put her back to sleep so I can get ready. If she doesn’t go back to sleep I wake up DH and say she’s fed. Sorry dude gotta go to work. I work on all his days off that I can get. He was kinda tiny complaining that he has a long weekend and I’m working every day. Mostly because he wants to do yard work and be a busy body and that’s impossible with a 3 month old. And I looked at him and said... Me:You want me to pay my bills ? DH: yes Me : you don’t want her in daycare DH: yes Me: I gotta work 🤷♀️ deal with it That's an idea. He usually wakes up around 5 then goes back to sleep for an hour or 2 so i could just stay up since I normally get up at 6

@easilyunamused ugh I’m so sorry. It took us over 2 hrs to get N to fall back asleep after his 12am wake up. These kids... king26 I’m thibking of getting the swaddle up. I think you mr ruined having it. Are you liking it for J? N startles and freaks and wakes himself up but hates us swaddling him and it wakes him up 90% we try to swaddle but he won’t let us swaddle before falling asleep... was thinking they’d could maybe help!??

Thanks ladies. He finally fell back asleep at 3, only to wake back up at 4, then 5. Brought him into bed with me and he slept till 6 but then threw up all over me. 😖 It was certainly a very rough night and not shaping up to be that great of a morning.
Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!

Oh @easilyunamused that is rough. I had to get up with N earlier than I wanted bc I pulled him into bed with us around 6 and then s little while ago I felt something super warm hit me- he peed out of his diaper bc it was so full 😣 I wish they’d last the whole night bc I’m trying to not change him in motn, hoping it will be one less thing to wake him up. So now to change the bedsheets. And everyone’s outfits. Oof.

I know he just over ate and wouldn’t let me burp him and that’s always a recipe for disaster.

He always finds that spot I missed or where I just moved the burp cloth from to throw up. Huzzah!

Lol My favorite time was when he was laying on me and looking up at me so sweetly and smiley. I thought to myself, this is just a great moment. He promptly projectile vomited all over me. 😆

Yes we just got it and it works. He doesn't startle himself but he can move his hand enough to put them in his miuth. He screamed the first 2 times we put him in it until he realized he could move his arms a bit and suck on the fabric on his hands. We took him out of swaddle because he hates it but he was waking up a lot in a sleep sacj. We aren't back to our 5 hour stretches but he is sleeping 4 hours then 3 hours. Plus he doesn't freak out when he's in it. They are on sale for 23 on Amazon.

Sorry about all the sleep problems. Ours lasted a week and still isn't great but it's improving.
We are on our first long car trip. J is doing good. He slept an hour then we stopped at starbucks, we got breakfast and coffee and I fed him. Got back in the car, he looked out the window 15 minutes ANF is back asleep. I hope all the sleep doesn't mess with sleep tonight!
I'm laughing at all the stories of babies in bed. We pull j into bed most mornings to to GRT an extra hour of sleep and he always spits up. I brought a change if clothed to thanksgiving because he spits up so much lol.

Happy Thanksgiving ladies! P rolled from her stomach to her back today and now she won't stop. Every single time I put her on her belly, she immediately rolls to her back. Also, she's currently going on 1.5 hours of napping in the crib. I'm pleasantly shocked! Leap 4 starts today, we'll see how that goes. I'm PMSing like crazy and I feel like I'm going to get my period any second

I️ can’t tell if M is just drooling so much from this cold or actually teething but either way I️ feel like she is a bear. I️ have to hold her basically constantly, she isn’t napping well either. I️ think we are already in leap 4 and it says it starts in 6 days. Oof

So I think it’s the leap there’s no way it’s teeth yet. Even though I was really wondering. Never say never. My twin nieces had almost a mouthful of teeth at 4 months 😳

I started putting on bibs just so I don't have to change her x times a day! She also started pulling her bib into her mouth at times to chew on it it seems... which just so makes me wonder whether it IS teething?? My mum keeps saying "maybe she's teething" as my sister had her first 2 teeth at 2 months already - I keep thinking tis soo early but who knows?
