J sleep regression is killing me. I need it to improve before I go back to work . So tired.
I bought a swaddle up and a Merlin to try since he hates the regular swaddle. The sleep sack is ok but I think it's the resin he's waking up so much.
Also it snowed last night. I want to take j to the store and carry him. Do i just wait until we get there then put a coat on him then put him in the carrier?

Sorry about the sleep setback king26. We have been better the last couple nights but now she is sick so who knows. I’m really hoping we luck out and skip the 4 month regression ugh. As far as the coat, that is what I️ would do. I️ know it’s such a pain though but I️ never do coats in the car seat. |

king26 I use the jj Cole carseat cover. It keeps him nice and warm. Dh's car died this morning, and our daycare provider drove to our house and picked up both boys. She is just the best. And our awesome neighbor helped him jump it. He got a new battery, but now the check engine light is on, and a scary light that looks like a wrench. Hopefully it's not expensive.

It’s DS’ 3rd Birthday today! We had a little party Saturday, so I took him to Chik-fil-a for lunch/play time and then he got to spend his birthday money at Target. Now I have to attempt to spend the rest of the day packing for our Thanksgiving trip to my parents house tomorrow.
Sorry to hear about all the sick and non-sleeping babies! I hope everyone feels better and gets a decent amount of sleep soon.

So I had 2 interviews last Friday right. Today I recieved the call they are interested still and to make an appointment for an e-assessement and another interview with one of the specialists and HR. Which is awesome. But the more I think about it the more I feel I shouldn't do it. The commute is horrendous, 2.5h on a good day and closer to 3.5 on bad days.. public transportation will take 3+h as well. I love the job oppertunity but I just can't do the commute, esp not with little D in my life now. When I applied for the job I obviously knew it wasn't next door but usually it takes 45 minutes to get there and I soo hadn't expected it to be THIS bad during rush hour.

muscari oh no! It sounded like such a good opportunity. Is that commute 2.5 hrs one way or both ways? I agree that five hours commuting each day would be impossible and depressing. I wish it could work out for you though.

Sorry I've been MIA on the board guys. I went back to work and it's been kicking my ass.
The twins are doing well - I'm trying to be more present when I'm home with them since my time is limited.
Happy this week is a short week!
Other than Thanksgiving prep, I'm planning DS1's birthday party.

Well sleep was better last night but he ended u9 sleeping his last 2 hours in bed with us. I hate doing that but all 3 of us needed the sleep . He did go over 4 hours for his first stretch which was better then he's done in a week but I had to pop his bink in several times.

Hi guys. I went back to work last week so my online time has cut back a lot. My H is home with A for 6 wks and then she goes to daycare.
Last night we did bath, book, song, rock, and put to sleep awake! She cried for a min or 2. Yay! She woke up twice to eat and woke right back up the 2nd time w gas. H had a hard time putting her back to sleep. So I've been up since 3something

Not sure whether I mentioned it here but after our 2mo disaster appointment we decided to switch to a different pedi office. Today the nurse came for a house visit to make our acquaintance and give info etc. The meeting was real nice and i think we did will to switch. The new office is small with a lot of personal attention, not just for the baby but also for mom and dad. We go in next week for her 3mo appointment and check up and will meet the dr. My sister knows her in person thru work and thinks we will click well which is a nice reassurance. Unfortunately MH had to miss today and also next weeks apt but my mum will tag along which is nice a thr office is in a very busy part od the city with hardly any parking so now i don't need to stress in case we can't find a parking spot on time (/random lol*)

The nurse at our first practice made me feel like i was such a terrible mother and didnt at all take my emotions or the fact I wanted to at least try to continue to BF into account when we needed a plan to help D gain her weight.. the way she spoke to me upsetting and made MH livid! So i am glad we were able to switch! |

This kid has regressed with sleep SO badly, I don’t understand. He won’t sleep anywhere. He’ll nap in his swing and he will sleep on me, but that’s not sustainable and he barely napped yesterday and was a disaster. Yesterday was the worst day I’ve ever had with him, he won’t most of the day crying, I spent most of the day crying and having meltdowns, it was just awful. I’m still so tired but I hope today goes better. We slept til 9 and DH is home for another 20min so I can have some me time.
ETA: oh and I felt like the worst mother ever bc I yelled at him to stop crying. Who yells at a baby? And then I cried more. And then I tried to cut his finger nails bc he keeps scratching himself, me, and DH so badly and I ended up cutting his skin and he screamed and cried so much, I was SOBBING bc I’m the worst 😔😣 poor DH had a lot of deal with when he got home.

addymac, oh no! I’m sorry for the rough day. Please be kind to yourself, a crying baby is one of the most stressful situations to be in and even parents with the best of patience has their breaking point. I’m definitely not the kindest mom in the MOTN when we are up for hours, so I get it. You’re a very good mom and he’s lucky to have you!

M has been a clingy hot mess and my patience are worn and then I️ feel like the worst because she is sick and can’t help it but I’m so effing burnt out right now. addymac, I have definitely been at my breaking point with non-stop crying many, many times. I have had to just put her in her crib and walk away a few times because I could feel myself losing it. You're not a bad mom at all, it is human nature to just reach a breaking point especially when sleep deprived! Also, I cut M the first time I tried to cut her nails too and now I'm traumatized and so afraid of cutting them. She has wolverine like claws and filing them does nothing!
