I am but its mostly related to my husband's snoring. I might kill him before March comes. IDK if he always has snored this bad and I'm just waking up to it now, or if it is getting worse, but I'm at a loss what to do about it. That would drive me crazy. Mh has a cold right now and his cough is driving me insane. I finally got comfortable on my side last night and then he coughed on me. 😬 I made him scoot over to his side and told him he needs to start taking something at night for it. I am also on team insomnia and I also know that part of it is my husband's snoring that wakes me up. I go an sleep in DS's room more often than night so that I can get some sleep, and I can still hear the snoring through the wall. I am worried about how the insomnia is going to affect my blood sugar now that I am officially diagnosed with GD again this pregnancy.

Hopefully, with me eating healthier due to GD my husband will reap the benefits too. He didn't snore when he was 20 pounds lighter.

woodenshoes, he should. If he's snoring he's not getting good sleep and better sleep makes it easier to lose weight. It's also really bad for his health. My H snored even when he was super, super thin and it's seriously been sooo much better with the CPAP.

I went to the store and picked up everything I needed to make my sweet potatoes and apple spice cake for Thursday. Now, I just need to make sure I keep DD away from the apples. It'll be hard to make an apple cake without them!

Hopefully, with me eating healthier due to GD my husband will reap the benefits too. He didn't snore when he was 20 pounds lighter. I sent my H an email this morning that basically said "Hi I love you so much but please do something about this" and included a link to a medical page about snoring. The top suggestions for reducing snoring were to cut back on alcohol and lose a few pounds, both of which he needs to do. So hopefully this will give him some incentive. I hate to say it but he didn't start snoring like this until he gained about 20 pounds. And he didn't gain those pounds until he started having beer every night. But that's a harder conversation to have so "QUIT SNORING" is kind of an easy out. Heh.

cp3 any chance you could buy the stroller yourself now and get YH to let her know you got a great deal and sorted out the stroller, he thinks you’d really love a spa voucher.

made a last minute stop at grocery store this morning. i was totally the mom bribing her kid with a cookie at 7:30 am. you get either a banana or a cookie for your kid, and if it's a cookie you have to get it from cashier when you pay. the lady checking me out suggested an apple or banana instead. thanks for the mom shame. oh well. going to get my pecans roasted for the cheese ball i'm making for tomorrow. maybe i'm a weirdo, but i'm super excited for said cheese ball.

I think my work has already turned off the heat for the holiday weekend. We’re closed tomorrow and Friday, but we’re still here today! It’s freeeeezing in here. I just can’t work in these conditions, so I will be forced to online shop instead.

I just got a message from DD's preschool that she is running around the classroom spitting on the floor. I asked her teacher to let me know if she's spitting, because that is something I've never seen her do at home. I am getting at the end of my rope with her behavior lately. I think I'm going to try to pick up a parenting book on discipline to see if there's a better approach that I can do. My mom keeps telling me to try a reward chart and I'm sick of hearing that because I know it won't work. One of her teachers uses one and DD just doesn't care if she gets stickers on her chart.

MH brother and his family live with my MIL & FIL right now, long story. Anyway the kids are elementary aged and always bringing home sickness. They've all been sick for weeks. I'm already freaking out about getting sick tomorrow. So then MIL messages us all on FB and says "yeah we are all sick and coughing so you can decide if you come." Ok. Not coming. So when I tell her we are leaning towards skipping because pregnant she's like "well we are mostly well. My nurse friend says it's only contagious before you have symptoms blah blah blah." ok but you just went on and on about how sick you are. I'm the only one contemplating not going, so I will be the Grinch who Stole Thanksgiving. What the hell am I supposed to do here?? She told me not to go, and is now backtracking because I'm not going to go? Is everyone sick and dying or not? I'm just really stressed out about it now.

ArielMermaid, I’m so sorry you can’t go bc you already made alternative plans when she said everyone was really sick. You probably already prepaid for dinner at a fancy restaurant or something.

Well we already do my family tomorrow too. So we could just stay with them instead of leaving to see his. But this was all in a span of 5 min where everything was dire and then everyone is fine. Why bring it up? I knew everyone was sick previously but I figured I'd be ok because they all got sick weeks ago and it's just that nagging cough that's left. But my FIL got it Saturday so now I feel wishy washy. My MIL is one of those where the holiday is ruined if someone doesn't attend. So I'll never hear the end of this if I skip. I just don't know what to do. I was totally going to suck it up and go until she dumped this on me.

She's now assuring me everyone is fine and we are just as likely to pick up something from my family. Um. Wow. Ok. My family stays home if they are sick. Something MH's family has never fucking learned. Now I'm stressed and mad.

ArielMermaid Sounds like you're staying home. And so is your H and kid. Because none of you want to get sick, especially while you're pregnant, and tbh fuck that noise. You play that game with me, you automatically get the worst end of it. I am not going to pussyfoot around with the mindgames. If you're just as likely to get it from your family, then at least they didn't tell you to decide and then try to freakin' guilt you into coming anyway. Nope. Not happening. Sorry, MIL, see you for Christmas, when everyone's better.

ArielMermaid, I wouldn't go either. If they were feeling bad enough to let you know that they weren't feeling good in the first place, then they shouldn't expect you guys to want to risk getting sick. Just out of curiosity though, what does your H think?

Just out of curiosity though, what does your H think? He is very mellow. Rarely has a strong opinion. He says it's cool with him if we don't go. I'm hoping to talk to him when he gets home tonight to make sure he really is ok with it. I think he'd rather skip than deal with my grumpy ass later if I'm sick. They've got the coughing crud and coughing and sneezing still make me puke.

auri we only live 8 minutes away from his mom and all of his siblings so it is not like we never see them. I think he will really be ok with it. We can see them as soon as they are well.

She's sending me more messages. "lol we're fine nobody is that sick. Do you want to do it Sunday?" Like... 3 days is going to miraculously make everyone well?

Talk to your husband, have a united front, say, "We'll skip Thanksgiving and maybe see you next week, depending on how everyone feels then. Hope you all feel better!"

I really, really don't play well with that bullshit. My MIL is very well intentioned but is sensitive and manipulative when she needs to be. She eats crackers for me so I try really hard to play nice. This is the one time I'm putting my foot down.

If you can believe it, my husband is even more no-nonsense; the reason I get it at all is because everyone knows I'm the "easier" one to convince. There are times he's a little OTT, so I need to talk him down.
