I got all the maternity clothes I ordered today. My Motherhood order came a day early, woo!, very helpful since I was scraping the bottom of the barrel with my old pants and have work tomorrow. And everything fits! Yay! When does that happen? I got 3 pairs of pants, 2 t-shirts, a tank, and that burgundy dress. And it all arrived while DD and I were both taking 2 hour naps. I feel like I'm winning today.

I am at the bloaty-but-not-a-bump phase and I'm still only 9 weeks so I haven't officially gone public. I have TWO jury trials next month and I have, currently, two suits that fit. UGH. Here's hoping each trial is only two days!

I'm having a hard time focusing at work today so I'm finally trying to catch up over here. We never decorate for Christmas until December. I think we'll probably get our tree the first weekend in December. My DD is 2.5 and is already talking about Santa and our Christmas tree this year so I'm excited to see how she sees Christmas this year. Last year she was still a little bit too young to be excited. I'm excited for her excitement! haha

I’m all done with school until next Monday! Very much looking forward to a five day weekend.
I am bummed because I’m definitely coming down with a cold again, and I’ve been pretty sick to my stomach today due to the post nasal drip. I need to eat all of the Thanksgiving foods on Thursday, and then we’re traveling to see my sister this weekend, so I need to feel better ASAP!

I'm in my stretchiest clothes trying to hold it off, but I am *this* close to breaking out the maternity clothes.

kookie3631 I'm glad your appointment went well! tinyjoys I'm stockpiling the mint truffle kisses because they are the perfect little snack without being too much. Love them! All is well here, we are staying put for Thanksgiving and our family all lives in different states. It feels weird not to be with them but with my work schedule it just didn't make sense to travel. I am looking forward to a quieter day. I feel like we've been running around like crazy lately and this will be nice to relax.

I prioritized having a nap after work today over eating. Woke up and my stomach just told me that it wants to relieve itself of it's contents. Managing to hold it down for now, but food is priority ASAP now

My dog snuck a heap of sultanas (raisins) from DD’s bag this morning. I had to rush him to the emergency vet to have them induce vomiting and put him on a saline drip for the day with activated charcoal to try and flush out the toxins. Can be very toxic to kidneys for dogs. Hoping I got him there in time to be ok.
Not a great start to the day.
Then I shared it with some friends in a group chat and one of them got really offended because they’re facing some concerns with their baby (due in a few more months) which have similarities. So now I’ve been called out as a shit friend for saying I was concerned about my dog.
Not a great next part of the day.
Can I please crawl into a hole and hide for a month?

adeline I would probably tell your friend to quit playing the pain Olympics, that yes of course you're concerned for their child but it doesn't make you any less concerned for your dog. On another note, I hope your pup is okay. I had a dog who used to looove grapes way back in the day, before they knew how bad they were for dogs. She was fine for many years but suddenly developed diabetes. She lived on insulin for a few more years but eventually passed away from kidney failure at 11. She was a toy poodle so should have had a few more years with her.

Sorry adeline, that's a bit much from your friend. Glad your pup is going to be ok. My parents have cats and 2 labs. One day one of the cats kicked a bag of raisins out of the cupboard and onto the floor. So both dogs had to go to the vet and have vomiting induced. Turned out 1 dog had eaten 2 cups of raisins and 1 dog had eaten none. Poor good dog!

Thanks robot and Speedy. I was genuinely really worried about him so I didn’t realize it would cause an issue. I still can’t decide whether I was inconsiderate or she’s super sensitive, or both. Ugh, I’ve apologized so I just need to move on.

adeline I hope your dog feels better. I think maybe your friend is a little sensitive, I don't think talking about your worry with your dog takes away from concern for their situation.

adeline I'm sorry about your dog I don't think you were being insensitive at all. You weren't comparing the two! you were just concerned. There is a huge difference.

I found the HB on the doppler last night! I was so surprised because I'm just 10 weeks but it was such a sweet sound! However, DD was NOT having it. She was crying and upset bc the doppler kept making static noises while I was searching and I don't think she understood the whole thing. Hopefully she doesn't react the same at my next US. Yikes.

kookie3631 I used to be firmly no Christmas until December, but having a toddler who is stoked about Christmas & decorating is definitely increasing my early Christmas tolerance. He spent 10 minutes walking around my friend’s Christmas tree the other night, naming ornaments and exclaiming over “how beauuuuuutiful” it was. budders FX you feel better before Thursday! adeline hope your dog is okay! And +1 to your concern about your dog doesn’t affect your concern about your friend’s baby.

Ugh, I’ve apologized so I just need to move on. You weren’t inconsiderate, she’s being sensitive and overreacted a little. I️ cut her some slack because it sounds like she’s got a lot on her mind, but you didn’t do anything wrong.

I'm craving fast food, but, like, not from the same place. Like I want fries from McDs, tacos from guacamole (sort of like chipotle I guess? Never been to Chipotle to compare), a root beer from A&W, and a peanut buster parfait from DQ XD

Pregsomnia has been kicking my butt recently so I took a unisom last night. Then O let me sleep until 7:30. I feel like a new person!!
Maybe unisom will be part of my life on the reg again. I took it for a long time when pregnant with O and it made life so much better.

We put our little tree up today. So much fun with DD now she’s big enough to understand!

Also got our trees up. DS1 is having tons of fun with decorating but he's also getting really mad at his little brother who prefers to pull the decorations off.

I love how when I start thinking I might be feeling reduced symptoms my body is like "bitch, please" and I feel like crap again. I mean, I'm glad for the symptoms because of what they mean, but c'mon now, give a girl a break here!

Ugh. This is not how I wanted to end my long weekend. Was just diagnosed with strep. At least DD is at my parents house so hopefully she won't get it too.

I’m late but you did nothing wrong adeline. She’s overly sensitive, not that I blame her. Just try to let it slide. We put up our Christmas stuff yesterday. Yay! Just ordered $150 worth of stuff from motherhood maternity’s Black Friday sale (today). It was so much stuff!! I’m super excited for it to get here. Hoping it all fits.

So DH and I are still reeling from our daughter's major health scare yesterday. (Posted it in the General Discussion). I mean, everything is fine, but for about 12 hours we were living our worst nightmare. And the whole time I was thinking about being pregnant and how the hell would we be able to do it/handle it. We have her follow up appointment on Monday, so I will finally completely relax after that.

I'm glad that all seems to be well, and hope it stays like that for a very, very long time.
