I just signed the baby up for swim classes and she has to wear two pairs of reusable swim pants. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm thinking she'll need either a 0-3m or 3-6m. Also, do these replace a bathing suit or does she still wear a suit over them?

Get the ones with velcro or snaps.

The Charlie banana one we have sucks so don't get that. My kids are skinny so they've both worn a single 3-6 month one from birth -potty training lol. I'm afraid I don't know the brand since it was hand me down. One with Velcro closures is good compared to the pull up kind in case they do ever poop in it (only happened to us once).

We have a pair of these in every size and I love them so much: www.bummis.com/ca/en/swimmi.phpThe first few have been through two kids and are in great shape. I put a suit on overtop because I like the look.

I found some at Target. We did swim classes when DD was 3 months old and I just used the swim diapers, no suit over it, although I have seen people do both.

We use iPlay (ETA, with snaps). They can be worn alone or under a swim suit. At swim class she usually wears them alone since ours are inside and all last summer I paired them With rash guards outside. This summer I'm skipping them in the pool (at my moms house) as long as she's pooped for the day already. She'll wear one under swim suit in our neighbors pools.
Tl;dr-- you can do whatever you want.

I like the blueberry ones. Freestyles? I usually do a rashguard on top.

I believe we have Applecheecks swim diapers and I do put a bathing suit on over the diaper.

When I took S in the pool last summer, when he was itty bitty, I used a regular cloth diaper cover and put swim trunks and a rash guard over that. I've done this too.

We used iPlay. I would definitely put a suit over it and get a suit that has a rashguard, even if the pool is indoors. Babies have a hard time regulating their body temperature and a pool that feels decent to you can be very cold to them.

We use iPlay (with snaps) and haven't had a problem. I got them off Amazon.

And she has to wear two pairs of reusable diapers at one time? Not just one?
If you have to wear two, I'd think you might need to get two different sizes and wear the bigger one on top. The iplay ones can have pretty tight elastic (which makes sense), but it might be a little tricky to put two on in the same size.

The Applecheeks ones are great. They have snaps. And I believe they have 2 sizes. DD wore size 1 from 2months-a year, then moved to size 2.

I used an old cloth diaper and have a couple of them This is what we did. I used a pocket and didn't put an insert in it.

I use the iplay ones because a couple of our pools require specifically this brand and I got it at target with a coupon. I have a bunch of them and they last forever.

We had a bunch of g-diapers so we just one of those with a liner and not an insert. It is very adjustable with velcro, so that might work well as the outer diaper.

The iplay ones can have pretty tight elastic (which makes sense), but it might be a little tricky to put two on in the same size. They require her to either wear two diapers or a diaper and swimsuit with a built in diaper, I guess in case of a leak? I was wondering how they would fit over each other though

We have the iplay with the snaps. Our swim place makes you use a disposable under the reusable as a double protection. Some people don't use a suit over that. I do because her suit is adorable

+whatever iplay with snaps. I put a swimsuit over it simply because DD has more swimsuits than is reasonable for a 2 year old who doesn't go swimming very often so obviously I have to put her in a cute suit at every opportunity 😜

I love the Charlie Banana, they've lasted through both boys. Maybe it's older or newer than the ones you got? It was before they started selling them in Target. We also have ones by Flap Happy and Iplay.

We've been happy with our ibaby with snaps. We also have a couple of bum genius 4.0's that we use as backup.

+a million to iPlay. We got ours off Amazon and my daughter has been wearing it for 3 summers now. There's usually rules about disposable swim diapers if they expect two? One of the pools in our old city required that and we did a Huggies Little Swimmer with the reusable diaper on top.

We didn't allow disposable swim diapers in the pool I worked at. They do nothing to hold in poop and that's where our concern was. Even one reuseable swim diaper will fail sometimes (if it's too big or the elastic is worn out), so that's why we required 2. If poop got in the pool we had to close for at least 4 hours so all of the water could cycle through the filter and UV system and if it was an incident where sickness was a concern we had to close for 24 so that the pool could be shocked. It was a huge deal so we had lots of rules to avoid it.
