You ladies have more experience with this than I do, so I’m asking. So my lining has been playing games with my head this cycle (and the previous FET cycle which was cancelled). It went up to a 7, down to a 6.3, up to a 7.3 and then another 7.3. I am going back again Tuesday to get another measurement. My RE and I looked at my history and except for my first fresh cycle (I did a freeze all IVF cycle 2 and one ended in a loss), my linings have been between 6-7. My doctor didn’t think Viagra would work this far in the cycle, so I’m just continuing with all the estrogen (my level was 1600 yesterday), accupuncture, and vitamin E). If I go back Tuesday and it’s down, obviously I cancel. But, what if it is still over 7. RE likes an 8, but he says I may just have a thin lining. Would you ladies transfer with a 7? I have 4 frozen embryos, am almost 42, and am out of money. It is really taking a toll on me emotionally as well. Or, keep going again with another protocol of some different estrogen. Lupron yielded the worst lining for FET -#1, and the stim meds at IVF cycle #2 didn’t have great results with the lining either, so as far as I know, he doesn’t have any other ideas to get it thicker than what we have tried. WWYD?

I have no experience, but I've read that eating iron-rich foods is beneficial. I don't know if that's enough to grow your lining at this point, though. I've also read about raspberry leaf tea helping for transfer. I hope someone who has been through this has more concrete advice for you!
Keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out for you this time!

It is interesting you mentioned iron because i am anemic, and I take major supplements and eat lots of red meat and veggies to supplement this.

hoosiermama76, have you had any cycles where your lining behaved the way you and your RE wanted it to? Meaning, is this cycle (and the previously cancelled FET) an outlier?

hoosiermama76, have you had any cycles where your lining behaved the way you and your RE wanted it to? Meaning, is this cycle (and the previously cancelled FET) an outlier? The only time it has behaved of the last four cycles was my very first fresh cycle, when it got to a ten, and then I had a loss. He thinks the loss was chromosomal, not my lining. The second IVF fresh cycle on the same meds (actually more), it only got to a 7. Then the last two FET cycles, it has been a high of 7.3.

Are there any other differences between that good lining cycle and the rest? I have two embryos left that are both slotted to be transferred at the end of this month. I think if my lining wasn't at least an 8, I might lean towards cancelling, especially if it goes up and down. They are my last shot from this IVF cycle. This is just what my thoughts are for me.

I am taking just Estrace vaginally and IM. I am not taking Lupron since that yielded a poor lining and a cancellation. If you have been historically above an 8, then I would wait to. I haven’t, so that is why I am asking. There was no difference between the first and second IVF Fresh cycles med wise that should have caused such a disparity. Good luck.
