Didn't see one started for this week!
The Trying to Conceive After a Loss thread is posted once a week (generally on Tuesday) for those of us who have unfortunately experienced a loss. No matter what type of loss you've experienced, from miscarriage to stillbirth to the loss of a child, it is heartbreaking. This thread is to help us commiserate, get support, and to try to navigate trying to conceive, after a loss, every week.
Out of respect to all the ladies here, please add a trigger warning if you decide to talk about any living children and please hide your signature if it contains pictures or tickers of babies or children. We also kindly ask for grads to refrain from commenting in this thread.
**If this is your first check-in, and you would like to provide a gtky loss history intro go for it. If not, no worries!**
How are you doing?
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched):
Diagnosis (if applicable):
Updates/questions:
Debbie downer (a place to vent):

How are you doing? Good minus a frustrating start to the morning today. Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC Diagnosis (if applicable): N/A Updates/questions: CD16, day 4 of flashing smilies (CBDA), and H gets back in town tomorrow. Just hoping O holds off at least until late tomorrow or Friday! Debbie downer (a place to vent):**TW OPP - RANT** A super close friend spent the morning complaining about how she is totes preggly, because her non-temping, non-OPK, non-CM tracking, app told her she O'ed 3 days after unprotected sex, but she doesn't want to be pregnant yet. She thinks that she for sure is though, despite her negative test this morning, because she "feels" pregnant and "obviously" that test was wrong. Like, does anyone remember TB days? This was that. I did my best to not allow my eyes to roll out of my head, and to actually give her informative responses. But, like, I just can't with her anymore right now. She knows about my loss. She literally told me she would cry if it was positive (not happy tears). I'll stop now. I am feeling a lot of ways. QOTW: What was the last movie you saw? And what did you think? Guardians of the Galaxy 2. I really enjoyed it!

Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): benched this month due to surgery.
Diagnosis (if applicable): unexplained IF
Updates/questions:
Debbie downer (a place to vent): none TTC related.
QOTW: What was the last movie you saw? And what did you think? Killer klowns from outer space. It was bad movie night at our house.

How are you doing? Not great. Super sad and worried.
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): Benched
Diagnosis (if applicable): PID
Updates/questions: last time I shared how I had some health issues that I was waiting on results for. We did not get the best news. I have fatty liver disease and an enlarged spleen. I have to have those things monitored to make sure they aren't getting worse and get down to my goal weight so that I don't continue to worsen my liver problem. Technically they did not say I had to absolutely quit TTC but I'm uncomfortable putting my body through anything else, especially considering we don't know why my spleen is swollen.
Debbie downer (a place to vent): we're looking at being benched at least about 7 months. My scans will have to been looking better before it's really safer to start TTC again.
QOTW: What was the last movie you saw? And what did you think? I think the last one I sat and watched was La La Land. I adored it though.

smores fingers crossed for O to hold off. I'm sorry about your friend. I know someone like that. It's annoying as crap, and I'm sure, awful to have to listen to. The woman I know decided that because it didn't happen her first month of trying that something was wrong and she would never GKU. I was so annoyed. kariann ouch! That had to suck I hope you feel better soon.

Ladies, I'm back.. I don't think we will be TTC anytime soon, but I want to be with people I know while I try to process what happened. I don't think I have really met anyone on the loss boards.
TW please don't read it you are having a bad day.
I went in on Tuesday for an ultrasound and rhogam because I started spotting on Monday. Everything looked fine, baby was dancing and had a strong heartbeat. My OB said it was likely my SCH working itself out.
I delivered my tiny, beautiful baby yesterday morning at 10w6d. We are shocked and devastated. I just can't believe this is happening again.
I am ready for this cycle to be over to I can start fresh. Not that we'll be trying in a month or two.. I just don't want to be at this point anymore. It hurts too much.
I hope I can be here to support y'all as best I can, and I hope you get your sweet rainbow babies soon <3

notelsie I'm so so so sorry. So many hugs and T&P's for you. I wish I could say something but I know there are no words. We're here if you want to vent. I'm over on the Loss boards although they are kinda slow. I'm also not TTC right now but I don't want to leave my people so we can sit on the Benched bench together. If you don't want to come to GKU for some reason one day, post in loss and know that at least I'll answer. Again I'm so so sorry you're are back here and for your loss.

Radley I'm sorry that you didn't get better health news. Are they going to be doing anything further to try and find out the reason your spleen is swollen or just monitor it at this point? Yes, friends like that can be annoying. I usually have a MUCH higher tolerance for it than I did yesterday. I think she just struck a nerve.

Yes, friends like that can be annoying. I usually have a MUCH higher tolerance for it than I did yesterday. I think she just struck a nerve. I have an appointment on the 21st, they want to do blood work and such to see if they can't figure out what is going on. They asked if I recently had mono as that is a common cause, but I had it 3 years ago so it definitely shouldn't be still swollen from that. I'm easily annoyed with silliness. You're very good to have such a high tolerance.

How are you doing? This week I'm having an up week, so hoping that continues. I'm tired of the down ones. Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC Diagnosis (if applicable): PCOS Updates/questions: I had my HSG this morning, which hurt like an SOB, but showed no obstructions to my uterus or fallopian tubes. So very relieved with that. Debbie downer (a place to vent):Much to my annoyance though, my husband didn't go get his sperm analysis like he was supposed to this week, so now we'll be waiting until after my FW. I think he's really afraid there it'll show a problem with him and he's "forgetting" to avoid it. Love him, but argh, ready to smack him. QOTW: What was the last movie you saw? And what did you think? Also Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and I liked it a lot. Not as much as the first one, but still really great. smores, That's incredibly insensitive of your friend. I'm impressed you didn't explode at her. kariann, That sounds awful. Wishing you a speedy recovery! Radley, I am so sorry for the bad news! That's a really rough spot to be in all around. I hope they're able to figure out the cause with further testing and get it sorted out. notelsie, I wish I could give you a hug. I'm so very, very sorry for your loss. Benched or not, I'm glad you're here with us and hope you keep checking in.

notelsie, you know where to find me. I love you to pieces and my heart is broken for you. I just wondered what the protocol is here for members with LC? I had a loss 4 months ago and it is something I struggle with. But I also know that I am fortunate to have LC right now and I don't want to come into a safe space if this isn't right for me. ❤️

Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC
Diagnosis (if applicable): PCOS
Updates/questions: My siggy has my history. Gonna take a break from ART and go for natural TTC while I try to lose some weight. It has been a hard pill to swallow.
Debbie downer (a place to vent): I had my 4th embryo transfer a couple of weeks ago, and it didn't even stick. And by it, I mean they because we transferred two. My beta on 16dpo was a 14.99. Just such a slap in the face. I'm down to 2 frosties, starting from 8. I'm feeling very much like I'm not in control. I lose hope a little bit more each time. It's exhausting, but I'm trying to move forward.
QOTW: What was the last movie you saw? And what did you think? Dallas Buyers Club. We loved it! We're a bit behind. 😂

Hi! Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC
Diagnosis (if applicable): nada. Basic RPL bloods all clear, will get more invasive testing done if I have another MC.
Updates/questions: CD14 here. Unusually early (for me) O like pain yesterday, but I'm not convinced as of late I've not O'd earlier than CD18. We'll see I guess!
Debbie downer (a place to vent): TW LC mentioned
My son turns 2 tomorrow. We had his party today. I should be hiding a pregnancy or have just announced like a week ago. But no. Two fucking losses. Thank god no one asked about TFAS.

I hope you had a great time at your son's birthday party! My daughter just turned two a couple months ago as well. Our loss/D&C happened 2 weeks before her birthday and party.
