How far along are you? 38 weeks. At this point DD was 4 days old.
How big is baby? If I were to guess I'd say 6ish. We make small babies.
Any upcoming appointments this week? NST and fluid check today. Not with my doc though, with her partner who I don't like as much.
Any new symptoms or changes? My stretch marks have stretch marks.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? A cold has been going around the office, so of course I caught it. Thankfully I can take Sudafed and Tylenol which actually seems to be doing the trick for now. But, I have a pretty heinous cough and my voice keeps cutting out. I've been whispering to DD which is funny b/c then she thinks she has to whisper too.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? A work reorg. It was slightly scandalous in that I just separated from my ex. I moved in with MH while I was still technically legally married, but very much separated.(There is a 6 month waiting period in VA).

How far along are you?: 36w0d (or 36w3d if you're my doc) How big is baby?: Large canteloupe (WTE) / Cabbage Patch doll (Ovia) Any upcoming appointments this week?: Had one on Wednesday, little dude is measuring 36w2d, is head down/back forward so doing everything he's supposed to be doing. My BP was a little elevated and apparently there was a small amount of protein in my urine so they're running some extra tests to be safe, but I feel fine (and also had a big brunch with mom before my appointment so that may have played a part. Sorry baby, mama needed those cinnastack pancakes and bacon at IHOP...) Next appointment is Tuesday. Any new symptoms or changes?: Reflux is back, but I think it's probably just because the baby is getting big. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?: Getting really tired of people commenting on my size. For someone who was overweight going in, I've been pretty good about my weight gain. In fact, I can still fit in to some pre-pregnancy shirts. And I'm 36 weeks, this baby is a week away from being a full term/self-sustaining human being, so yes, my tummy is getting bigger. I'm aware. Please stop. GTKY: How did you meet your SO?: At a bar. I went there for happy hour with a bunch of coworkers, and he was there with his own coworkers. One of his friends from college is actually my former boss (still current coworker, we're just in different departments now), so she introduced us... and promptly decided to set me up with his brother, who was expected to join him later that night. By the time he got there I was pretty sold on H, though  ETA: Feel better, kensie5226!!! |

How big is baby? Based on last weeks ultrasound I would say over 8# at this point. Or at least that’s what my back says.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Monday, Monday.
Any new symptoms or changes? My back is killing me, I’m super crampy, and I think I’m randomly having BH. Also I’m so swollen that wearing my glasses gives me a headache. Or I can chose not to wear them and get a headache.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Today is my last day dragging myself into work. I need to set up my home office this weekend but everyone has pretty much declared me out for everything but 3 of my weekly tasks.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? The interwebs. We were a 98% match which is pretty much correct. We did have some mutual friends so we found out about each other before the first date, but as of 11/25 we will have been together for 7 years.

cakewench, ugh the refulx. I'm taking Prilosec in the morning and Zantac at night. It's so bad. rooskie, I've had a lot of BH contractions and at least 3 legitimate ones. Hang in there.

How far along are you? 34w3d How big is baby? Quokka?? Any upcoming appointments this week? On Tuesday I have one. I am hoping I get just a mini ultrasound to see his cute butt. I haven't seen him since 20weeks. With E we did a 3d ultrasound aroun 32 weeks but we didn't do that with this one. Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing new. He is just reallllllllly big and all of his movements make my stomach look like an alien is trying to escape. He is basically never still except for when I am sleeping. He moves ALL DAY LONG. I keep telling myself that maybe that means he won't have his days and nights mixed up when he's born. A girl can dream. Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? This child likes to straight up play in my pelvis. I can feel his little fingers poking and playing in there it's so weird. GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We worked together at a restaurant. At first I didn't acknowledge his existence really because he lived with his GF and I had a BF of 5 years. But I broke up with my BF and he 6 months later broke up with his GF and then all of a sudden I was like oh heyyyy this guy is realllll nice and cute. The rest is history. cakewench A-M-E-N with the comments. It seems to be daily now. I still have 5.5 weeks people settle down. |

How far along are you? I don't know. I've lost track. About 2.5 weeks until scheduled RCS.
How big is baby? Feels big. I'm expecting he will be pretty similar to his big brother when he is born (7 lbs 11 oz).
Any upcoming appointments this week? Weekly appointment today. Since I am a RCS I figured I probably won't be having any cervix checks. So it should be pretty in and out.
Any new symptoms or changes? My hips are killing me from sleeping at night and the insomnia has really picked up. I toss and turn all night which is so much fun. Also, I have been having BH for a while now but they have really increased.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? Even taking Zantac twice a day my acid reflux is ridiculous. Last night I got up at midnight, took a swig of antacid (right from the container) and drank a glass of milk. I'm really over being huge but I have so much to do for work and at home I really hope this kid stays put until we go get him.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? eharmony actually. I wasn't really interested in the whole dating scene (small town) and I made my mom a promise that when I reached a certain age I would try eharmony. My cousin had met her significant other from there. Once I reached that age, I signed up and dated a guy pretty regularly for quite a few months. But he was definitely more of a friend than a romantic partner and I ended it. It wasn't long after that I was matched with my H. We have been together now for 6+ years.

I’m just hoping that all of the cramps and BH means something is going on. Guess I’ll find out Monday at the next cervix check. If baby isn’t here after thanksgiving I think I’m going to let the doctor do a membrane sweep on 11/27 then schedule to go in to be induced 11/30. At this point I would rather be home for the holiday. (Which is probably jinxing myself) |

I feel you on the miserable reflux, kensie5226 and sarahandben108. TMI - yesterday while walking my dog I belched and actually ended up spitting/throwing up a small amount into the grass. Horrific snoring continues, and I'm breaking out like first tri-style. Ah, beautiful pregnancy! Rants/Raves/AW/Questions?
Tested positive for Strep B. I know it's not a big deal, but the concept still gives me the icks. Also, I need to confess that I couldn't decide whether to get an almond or chocolate croissant for breakfast, so I got both and ate both as I caught up on threads. I'm still hungry. Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing new. Heartburn sucks. I'm huge and everything hurts. I'm still puking.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I'm approaching the point where I'm beginning to remember why I felt better AFTER my c-section than I had in weeks before. Here's hoping it's the same thing time!
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We were on the same floor our freshman year of college. We've been together (on and off throughout college, we're not total freaks) for over 16 years.

Any upcoming appointments this week? I had one today, which is why I know the measurements. Dr is gone next week, so I scheduled my final appt with him on the 27th!!
Any new symptoms or changes? Sleep insomnia can suck it! I’m up for hours every night. This blows. Also lots of indigestion this week.

DH is working on his leave. We found out today that he can’t leave until I’m in labor/start my induction. Since it takes a full day to get back from where he is I’m trying to get my head around the fact that I may not have a labor coach. Cue the super pregnant waterworks 😭😭
GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
I was friends with his brother and worked with his brothers gf at the time (they’re now married). He was home on leave from a deployment and i met them out at a bar and thought he was soooo good looking and funny . He was going back to Iraq and I didn’t know if I’d ever see him again. A few months later brother’s gf said “I just got an email from *DH* in Iraq asking what your situation is.”
Once he got home we went on our first date and the rest is history.

Any upcoming appointments this week? Had the positioning ultrasound and fluid check today -- baby dropped this week so I knew he was head down, but he is apparently facing my left side.
Any new symptoms or changes? Lots of pressure on my pelvis. Walking is so much fun.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? I have so much to do in the final 7.5 days I have of work before my maternity leave! But so ready to be done with it all.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We met at work - he felt bad for me as the new girl because my office was kind of isolated, so kept inviting me to eat lunch with him and out to drinks, etc. We just celebrated our 8 year anniversary last month.

I'm still testing positive for a UTI since 28 weeks. I have done 2 rounds of antibiotics. They retested me again Thursday before starting another round.

2.5 days of work left! Been training my replacement and she's really good so I'm happy about that. This pregnancy went so fast.

At a Labor Day weekend end of summer party on the beach. I was 16. He dated my best friend first. I would only see him at that party every year (he was local, I would spend weekends with my friend whose parents owned a house.) We started dating when I was 20.

Baby girl has been stretching up under my ribs for the last couple of days. I spent most of last night trying to get her to move down as I could hardly breathe no matter the position. So sore! Also numb/tingly heels. And thundercrotch is still there 😢

AW: started maternity leave. I was going to stay anonymous two weeks but fuck it! This is time I'll never get back and I really need naps.

At a local bar/restaurant he was working at. I was friends with lots of the staff then he joined and asked me out quite quickly. I was not sure to start with as it could make things awkward with the group but ended up agreeing to a drink and here we are 20 years later...

Well so much for no appointments this week. I tested positive for protein in my urine this morning so I figured I'd pop in and ask about it when visiting my mother in hospital.
An hour monitoring later, baby girl is great but they are admitting me for observation for 24-48 hours due to high BP.
Please send vibes they let me out tomorrow, I am not ready to have this baby just yet and absolutely don't want to be stuck here for the next 3 weeks.

Any new symptoms or changes? This is tmi, but I was unsure on Friday and Saturday if I was having contractions or I was just super constipated. It was just constipation, but I didn't feel well at all.

We hung out with the same group of people right after high school but it wasn't until 4 years later (and one fiance) that we started dating. We had just been friends up til then. How big is baby? I’m guessing about 5lbs each now. I have growth scan next Tuesday, so I’ll have a better guess then!
Any upcoming appointments this week? OB check up yesterday. Cervix is soft but closed and Baby A is very low.
Any new symptoms or changes? Every day is harder than the last. My belly is sooo big and really taking its toll on me. Braxton hicks are ridiculous and walking is painful so I’m mostly just hanging out on the couch.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? We’re planning on an induction or csection at 38 weeks if the girls aren’t here by then. Baby B still seems to be transverse, but my OB thinks I’m a really good candidate for vaginal delivery for both (since Baby B is generally head down she thinks we can get her to move completely once Baby A is born). So I’m leaning toward vaginal delivery. In my ideal world she’ll be totally head down at my growth scan next week and they’ll come naturally by 37 weeks!
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? While hanging out with mutual friends on Saint Patrick’s Day. I was super into him right away and remember trying to find him on myspace after, but his name is uncommon and I didn’t know how to spell it. We didn’t start dating until 5 months later.
