I️ figured I would start a new randoms thread since the dates are over on the other one.
M is all over the place with her MOTN wake up. It’s gone from sleeping till 5:30, then 3:00, then 1:30 and last night was 12:45 ugh! Remember way back when she was STTN and I️ was trying to just enjoy it because it wouldn’t last? Voila, it’s over for now 😛

Oof. Sorry about the bad sleeping lately. jt2378 N is... doing better ish. He’s doing one long stretch from 8-10 til 2-3am, but then he does not sleep more than 2-3 hours after that. I think it’s bc I BF him at that time and he falls asleep after like 5min. I don’t think he’s eating enough to sleep longer. Tonight DH agreed that we should try giving a bottle and see how he sleeps. Also, yesterday afternoon he was a beast, crying screaming for seemingly no reason on and off all afternoon / evening. I kept offering him a boob and he would refuse, so i was like ok I guess he’s not hungry. I finally was like he HAS to be hungry— I made DH heat up a bottle and the kid took over 6oz! He just wanted nothing to do with my boob same thing happened this morning at 9am- but he took it just fine yesterday morning and at 3am today— what is his deal?! Is he over the boob bc the bottle is easier? 😔 that makes me so sad bc I just want to snuggle him all the time and also pumping all the time is exhausting and hard when there’s no one there to play with him while I pump.

I jinxed myself saying j has 3 sleeps per n8ght and 5 naps a day. It's noon and he has taken 3 crappy naps so will probably nap 3 more timed. He slept in pnp last night and it was better then the last time we tried. He slept 4 hours, 3 hours. 2 hours. However he was so loud in there I didn't get much sleep. We r trying again tonight. addymac I'm glad sleep is going better but sorry about the boob. jt2378 I'm sorry you are having more MOTN wake ups .

What’s this sit me up thing you guys are talking about? Is it this: Should I get it or nah? Pros? Cons?

Last night was awful for us too. He would not fall back asleep from 1am-4:30am. Then was up at 6 for the day. I mean, every night sucks for us but it’s worse when he won’t at least go back to sleep within 30 mins. I just keep hoping he’ll go longer than 2 hours, but it’s not happening. I dread bedtime.
Also, my hair just started falling out in clumps. He’s almost 4 months old so I was praying I’d be spared from hair loss. But, of course not.

T loved the frog sit me up chair. Loved. We used it until she was sitting up on her own, so until like 6 months? Most people had one on that BMB.
Tonight was the first night R seemed to like it, but I think I was putting her in their too close to nap time so she was fussy. She also move a lot and I think that’s why she likes to lay on the floor as she is starting to move in circles.
But, I think it’s like $30 and folds in up, so I recommend it.

For those of you who dont swaddle but use sleepsacks. Do you use any extra thin blankets or how do you deal with the colder nights? If you use a blanket, do you put babies arm(s) under the blanket? If no blanket how do you deal with flappy arms?

If no blanket how do you deal with flappy arms? Blankets aren't recommended in the US until 1 year. I either do a onesie with a sleeper over it then in the sleep sack or use the sleepsack with long sleeves that are fleece. Weve only worn one a few times because the swaddle works better but thats what we did.

M has been absolutely beastly all day, fussy at the boob and alternating between smiling and laughing to screaming and crying. She is almost rolling over today so it must be that. Damn I️ hope it’s not a super rough night.

So I usually just put the long sleeve zip up sleep sack. I tried the open bottom sleep sack with socks and he wasn't feeling it. As far as flappy arms, he seems to settle better at night then during the day.

Well crap. J did ok in the pnp last night but tonight is not great so far. He got an arm out of the swaddle so he is on one side of me sucking his hand like he's starving and DH is on the other side snoring. I will never get to sleep!!!

Attempting a bottle instead of bf was a fail. He woke up as soon as I tried to move him off my chest- I totally fell asleep waiting the 20 min after feeding. Then he wanted MOAR food after two hours and keeps waking up every time I try to move him off me. My boobs are fucking killing me and I didn’t even go to bed til basically midnight (he went down at 10:30) and he was up at 3:30 so I am fucking tired.
I have a dr appt today and I need to wash my hair but how Can I if this kid won’t let me move. Ugh.

I think we are creating another bad habit. Sometimes when J wakes up in the morning I know he hasn't had enough sleep so we put him up in bed with us and he sleeps another hour and so do we. I know this is a bad habit but sometimes we all need another hour and he sleeps well there.
If your lo sleeps.in the pnp do they sleep in the bassinet attachment or in the bottom? J is in the bassinet thing so he is up higher which I like but it moves a lot and I think it's waking him up but I don't really want him in the bottom because the. I don't think I'll be able to reach over and pat him if he needs it.

Also what is up with the babies not sleeping? J used to have a 5 or 6 hour stretch every night now we are lucky if we get a 4 hour stretch So exhausting.

I️ know, I’m so tired too and I️ know I️ shouldn’t complain because she was sleeping good before. As far as creating bad habit, I’m right there with you. Some nights when she wakes I️ fall asleep and she is with me. Even when she wakes early morning I️ bring her in with us and she sleeps more. I️ really didn’t want to do this based on what happened with my first but alas here we are! Sometimes sleep just wins.

It’s pretty amazing the way A can wake up exactly 60 mins from when he goes to sleep over and over again all night long. I just don’t understand why he must get up hourly. It’s insane.
Also, add me to bringing baby to bed for some extra snoozes. I only allow myself to do so after 5am though. Otherwise we’d be up and out of bed at 4am! I hate bedtime and don’t look forward to it at all. I just don’t know what I could do differently to make it better.

It must be the age since R is back to waking up earlier. It’s still just once, but it’s like 1:30-3am instead of 5am.
Y’all sleeping with your babies makes me feel cold. My philosophy has always been “kid, figure it out.” I think it’s partly because I toss and turn, so T never really had the option to sleep with me.
