Age: 9 months
Milestones: Trying to stand and cruising along furniture.
Challenges: Food. I think I mentioned MH was super paranoid about giving C table food. Well, C had his 9 month appointment yesterday and the pedi instructed us to give him more table food, so now I have permission to push harder. I gave C bits of chicken fajita meat, peppers, onions, cheese, and some tomato and he gobbled it up! I'm excited to see him eat more food and handle it well so MH sees C will be okay.
We're also dealing with some auditory issues. The pedi thinks C's probably okay, but we have to get an advanced hearing test done next Tuesday. I'm anxious about it. I'm sure he'll be fine, but come on... The kid's been through enough. FX his hearing isn't an issue.
He's also off the premature measurement scale, so that's good; however, he's only in the 35 percentile for weight and height. The pedi isn't concerned about this growth (kid gained 2 lbs. and 2.5" in 3 months), but C is smaller than most kids. Ugh. NICU babies = lots of worry.
Funny/cute stories: He discovered the boxes of tissues in the kitchen. They are fun building blocks and apparently equally fun to push around the kitchen LOL He played with those tissue boxes for 45 minutes straight. Guess what someone is getting for Christmas... Kleenex! LOL
How are you? Tired. So tired.
Anything else? Dreading the incoming tax changes. I work for a lot of 1%ers so... I hear a lot about 45. I am... not a republican.
QOTW: I LOVE THANKGIVING! I'd say my favorite is pumpkin pie.
