I haven't thought about it yet. Waiting for to know the sex. We have two kid bedrooms so the new baby will have to share. We have one huge bedroom and then a regular size room. If this is a boy, I will move my daughter to the regular room. If it is a girl, I am not sure about rooming them together yet since she is almost six. So move both smaller kids to the larger room? Oh, the bedroom arrangement is what my daughter keeps telling me is why we can't have another baby. I asked her if she wanted another sibling and she said we don't have enough bedrooms. Oh well. I am going to keep the baby in our room for the first few months. Anyone else rooming kids together? I don't know what would be the best match up. I'm having trouble figuring out the room situation also. We have 3 kid bedrooms. One with a bathroom (ds1's room). One without a bathroom but the same size as the other (ds2's room). And the 3rd (ds3's room) is super tiny. Ds1 is 13 and wants to keep his own room but I'm thinking about bumping 1 & 2 together in room 1 and bumping 3 & 4 together in room 2. Then we will leave the 3rd small bedroom as like a game room that they can spend some alone time in if they need to. That probably makes no sense. I wish I could give you advice but I'm obviously lost, sorry. But you're not alone! I have four siblings so I shared rooms until my sister moved out. She was six years older. It wasn't terrible, but I was younger. We have a playroom in our new house and it is a must. We barely used the crib with J at the beginning so I wouldn't have an issue having the baby sleep in our room and then moving he or she to the larger bedroom with J when the baby is sleeping through the night better.

My friend just did a woodland theme for her DD. There is a lot of great Pinterest inspiration out there for it.
I'm in the process of making some Etsy knock off prints for her with woodland creatures. I fell behind because...well...pregnancy. I'm hoping to finish them before she officially transitions into her own room in the next couple months.

We are in the process of looking for a new house. We have a split level, 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 1 in the finished lower level. I don't feel comfortable being on a different floor from the kids, so if we end up staying here the baby will share with DS once we're done rooming in.
All that to say, we probably won't do anything new for the baby. It makes me a little sad but the lazy side of me is relieved. DS' room is white with a bright teal-ish blue accent wall, matching patterned curtains, and dark espresso furniture. We had some sweet little bird themed things (crib sheets, mobile, etc) but most of that is packed away because it was baby stuff.
Now he has fugly PAW patrol sheets haha but he loves them so it's okay.

#thirdchildproblems
Kid the Third will be sleeping in the baby box in our room for the first 4-5 months. Then it will share the nursery with DD ( I think). The nursery hasn't changed since DS, minty green walls, white trim and espresso furniture with a Winnie the Pooh theme.

We have two rooms that we just decorated for the kids when we moved to our house in October. So baby will be sharing with someone.we might get bunk beds and then DS And DD will share. Or baby will share with my daughter. My daughter slept in our walk in closet till she was almost 7 months so im not too worried. We won't be doing anything special.

We're planning a move from CA to the east coast (likely Boston or Southern NH) at the beginning of the year. So I likely just skip the nursery until the move. He'd like still be in the bassinet in our room anyway. Once we do set it up, I want planes, H wants nautical, so I'm in no rush to argue this. lol

I love love love the adventure/weather/hot air balloon theme. I was for sure not going to do a nursery because I'm lazy, but now I might have too. we have enough rooms for all the kids to have their own rooms, but the third is pretty dinky so I was planning on rooming the older two together with bunk beds. Now I'm kind of wsntjng to keep them all separate and doing themes for each of their rooms.

Super cute ideas in here! I'm going to do the walls in SW Sea Salt and when we find out the the sex I'll do peach accents for a girl and I think navy/grey for a boy. I'm thinking woodland theme but I haven't decided yet. Ooh I like this color. I'm looking for something similar for ours. For our first we painted his room BM cucumber and while I like it, it feels really like a "kid" color that we will eventually want to change and I don't want to have to repaint another room. This room is tiny and was supposed to be my home office so I kind of want something that will work for that in the future. /ramble

I bout these for my DDs room, but DS was obsessed with picking them off the walls when he was a baby, so her room needs a revamp.

Our theme for my son was dachshunds. I bought some dachshund crib sheets and painted silhouettes of our dachshund on canvases that are hung on the wall. Otherwise we have green walls, an espresso crib, a gray upholstered glider, and a blue dresser and nightstand. He's keeping his room, we'll just take the crib out for the new baby and get him a twin bed.
New baby is going to be in a tiny room, but it's the warmest in the winter and coolest in the summer since it's insulated (our other bedrooms are not) and has the same number of heat/ac vents as the other bedrooms while being tiny. It will pretty much fit the crib and either a dresser or a glider. I haven't decided yet which will be more functional to put in there. It has two small closets so I can fit all of his clothes in those, and do diaper changes elsewhere if necessary. So basically I'm working with an espresso crib, and probably brown and white dachshund sheets (not sure I want to buy anything new, we have three in rotation so they are in good shape still).

thatgolfb, I have a similar idea going on! Just like an 'outside' theme, haha. Clouds and suns, maybe a rainbow mobile (I have a cute crochet pattern for one!) Ikea has a cloud pillow and a cloud wall lamp! We might also get the big leaf canopy from ikea too.

snuff9861, we got a baby box too! DH is slightly horrified to think of our baby sleeping IN A BOX, but I told him that's basically what bassinets are, but they're not free.

My brother called DD a hobo puppy since she slept in it for 5 months. You can also buy them from the same company and it has way more stuff in it, but the free one has the box, mattress and sheet and some small samples of diapers, wipes etc. Plus there were coupons, a onesie and a teething ring. Canadians check out www.babyboxco.com and do the sleep university thing if your province has started the program.

This one with be sharing with DS, so at the moment it's a very blue bedroom with a car theme as DS is obsessed with cars. DD will be sleeping with us in her Moses basket until she either sleeps through the night or outgrows it. If she outgrows it before 6 months, and isn't sleeping through (DS did at 3 months, outgrew it and slept through) I will get a little crib instead of putting her in DS's room and waking him up when she wakes up during the night as that'll be no fun what so ever.
When she's about ready to go into his room I will decorate then, it'll be pink spots on blue painted walls (as he has blue walls now) already have a grey carpet, and I will change his blue car rug to something more matching to the walls. He has dark blue curtains, but they will be staying as they are black out curtains and cost a good amount of money.

DS' room was cuter before we toddler proofed it, but here are pics of the wall art. The three frames of different animals are my favorite ... though I also love the Liz Climo cartoon. We also have his name in different colors/patterns letters on another wall.

My state just stared doing baby boxes. They are fairly simple compared to the more established programs, but I'm excited for this step forward in infant and maternity care. I think you have to sign up and watch a 15 min online video about newborn safety to get one.

Mine too, I haven't done it yet so not sure if they require you to answer any questions to see if you retained the info lol

I think you ladies have sold me on an adventure theme and the Sea Salt paint color. Hopefully I can spend some of my rainy Sunday on Pinterest nailing it down further.

Right now DD and DS have their own rooms, but obviously that will have to change. The twins will room with us for at least a couple months, but then I'm not sure how we'll arrange it. DD is almost 5 and starts K in the fall, so she doesn't need to be disturbed by babies crying during the night. But DS is the lighter sleeper, and there's no way two cribs and his twin will fit in his room.

My kids shared a room for almost a year starting when they were 6 and 1.5 and they did great. DD was able to be quiet when she was getting ready for school if DS wasn't up yet and he didn't seem to bother her at night.

They have the same bedtime and wakeup anyway. They also bathe together, so I guess privacy wouldn't be an issue at this point!

We are in tiny city living so 2.0 will room in with us until our lease is up in March and we move. Even then we will still be in the city so likely DD and 2.0 will share a room anyway.
ETA: DDs theme is just bright colors. And we have an espresso and white babyletto crib we will uncovent from a toddler bed and get DD a new twin size when we move I think.

The room is already painted a really pretty silver/gray. I kind of feel bad because DD is a fun mint color, but we just painted and I'm not repainting. So the colors will be gray and white with accent colors of yellow and (if boy) light blue (if girl) purple.
