I've had our Keurig for 10 years and it seems like it is on its way out. I've run vinegar cycles through it, taken apart and cleaned all the pieces and it still takes about 3 cycles for it to brew a cup of coffee. I want to be proactive and get a new one before it dies for good and I am left coffee-less.
I like the convenience of brewing 1 cup at a time, but I am not opposed to a coffee pot kind of setup. Do I need to explore other options like fancy espresso makers? Whatever it is, I still need to know that I can walk downstairs and grab a hot cup of coffee relatively quickly.
Halp!

We also have a Nespresso. I love it but it hardly gets used. My pods supply is running low and I need to restock. The Nespresso typically gets used when we have a birthday breakfast or a fancy neighborhood dinner. My contribution to the meals is that I bring my espresso maker and pods.

I love my Ninja Coffee Bar. You can brew a single cup, travel cup, half or full pot so it's really versatile.

I have a ninja coffee bar as well and I love it! I am the only one that drinks coffee in my house so I use the one cup feature 99% of the time. However it's nice to have the full pot option if we have company.

We also use the Ninja Coffee bar. I love that I can do single, travel, half pot or a full pot. It is also nice that you can do different styles like regular brew, over ice, or an espresso like brew.
And it has a timer so you can set it the night before. It's definitely my recommendation.

I bought my last coffee maker at a thrift store for less than $5. It has lasted over a year and I think it had never been used. It's a cuisinart.

My Keurig is also dying. For the Ninja Coffee Bars- do they take regular coffee or some sort of pod/kcup?

French press is affordable, makes fantastic coffee, and is super easy to clean. Unlikely to break unless your students are assholes who take it apart and lose key pieces. I had the same $6 one for years before that happened.

Now I'm drooling over the ninja. I could kick the half and half if I could make myself a perfect soy latte whenever I wanted...

We have the Breville YouBrew Glass. It does 1 cup, travel mugs, full pot, and it is heavenly. I used it to convert MH from Keurig.

+1 to a French press. We have a Bodum stainless press that we use heavily and love it way more than standard drip!

We have a cuisinart that has a grinder built in. We've had it for almost 10 years and it works just as good as the day we got it.
