We are trying to cut back on gifts this year. I have no idea what to get J and I know that the rest of the family will ask for ideas. What does a 7 MO want? I also have NO idea what to get H. I think I'm getting a NIX frame for my parents, which I'm excited about because they are hard to shop for. A Lost My Name book for 2 YO nephew. Maybe this Grimm's beads for 6 MO niece? I realize I'm many days behind but I have a Nix photo frame and I love it! It's so easy to use!

My kids are getting nothing for Christmas! Muahhaha
But no...I think we are getting the 3 year old a bike and the then 7 month old some clothes and maybe some kind of teething toy since I have no idea where most of ours ran off too.
My H and I are just doing stocking stuffers for each other. So that’ll include fun stuff like socks, underwear and beer lol.

I need to remember to come here more often! Great ideas! I need to get some little things for my goddaughter and her siblings but they'll be traveling when I see them so small things are good. Those jaq jaq books look awesome cmb I may do that for one 3-ish yo. I'm trying to ask for toys the girls will use later and stuff like that...we are set for the next few months with "stuff" I got H a ski helmet with Bluetooth speakers today...we usually do one "big" gift. It was on great sale so I jumped on it, I hope it is what he wanted...he just happened to mention it in passing. His family said we were doing secret Santa but they haven't said anything else/given us names or anything, which is super annoying. I either need 7 gifts or 1...

I got a few things to take advantage of Cyber Monday sales - a pair of soccer cleats for H, Nixplay frame for my parents, and a Lost My Name book for nephew. Then I started a spreadsheet to keep track of gift ideas and the budget.

I also bought a convertible car seat for J. He still fits in his infant seat and we probably won't need to switch for a few months but it was on sale. I feel like he'll become a toddler before I know it.

DS1 is getting a bunch of crap - snap circuits, science kits, books, etc. He's 5.
DS2 (12 weeks) is getting one set of those O-ball things I got on sale at Target. Mostly so DS1 isn't wondering why Santa didn't bring his brother anything.
H is getting a phone holder thing for his car, a magnetic wristband, and a holiday set of a coffee brand that he likes. We really don't do many gifts for each other but these are things we'll both use or like, the car thing, is something he's been needing for a long time and just keeps forgetting to look for one until he's in the car bitching about where to put his phone.

I had to switch DS1 out of his infant seat at around 6 months because it was a smaller one (I think they made it up to 22 lbs 6 years ago?) and he had the longest torso ever as an infant. Putting him in a cart then and omg he looked like a little man 😂

I'm debating getting a Google Home/Mini for H but I can't pull the trigger yet. I hate that they don't have aux jacks and I need to buy Chromecast Audio to hook it up to our built-in speakers in the kitchen. I could get the Echo Dot instead but he is more fond of Google over Amazon and I don't like how consumer-driven Alexa is.

So our daycare has staff appreciation day coming up and parents are encouraged to bring in food items ("It can be anything, breakfast, lunch, snacks, dessert!"). What would you bring (I'd have to drop it off on Thursday to be consumed on Monday) and would you still give teachers non-food gifts in addition to this?
