I’m super annoyed. I went to sephora to return some things that I have had for a while that didn’t work out or whatever. Apparently they changed their return policy. Instead of taking everything back ever, no questions asked. If you don’t have a reciept they run it through this database and then it either approves your return or it doesn’t. It didn’t approve mine. So I found a receipt for one of the items. The lady tried returning it and the computer claimed it had already been returned. Bullshit. The supervisor was very rude to me about the whole thing. 😡😡 So tomorrow I am going to try to return the things that I have receipts for at the Sephora inside jcp.

cagoldi I think I forgot to mention last weekend before my neice and nephews party, I was tasked with finding a vegan dessert for one of the guests. I ended up with Oreos, which I think you have mentioned in the past as being vegan? We also brought a vegan pizza just for her. Her parents go to protests and such, you'd probably get along. Alas, I never figured out who the girl was.. ftr Harris teeter is no whole foods in terms of vegan options. Oreos are what we would call "vegan by ingredient." So yep, vegan, as far as I am concerned and probably 90% of the rest of them. There is some controversy about palm oil, because it destroys the habitat or orangutans. But you know...everything we do destroys habitat, so IMO it's really personal choice. It's technically vegan because it does not DIRECTLY use animals. Then, you have the issue with sugar. About half of it in the US is filtered using bone char, and you never know if any of that sugar is what's being used. Organic sugar is never filtered like that so it's always fine. Again, gross, but not an ethical problem IMO. So anyway. I only tell you this in case anyone ever disputes whether it's vegan, that's what they are talking about. If someone wants to be the most veganest vegan of all time by refusing to eat all non-organic sugar that's cool, but they haven't saved any more animals than someone who does eat it. It was nice of you to help with that. FYI, if you ever need to make something, easiest way is to do a "Coke cake." Most Duncan Hines box mixes and frostings are "accidentally vegan." Sub a can of coke (not Pepsi, Pepsi is not vegan), for the oil, egg, and/or butter. You could use Sprite for a vanilla or strawberry cake.

Hope it's resolved to your satisfaction, trtlcrzy. I think they should honor the return policy that was in place when you purchased the items.

I have several friends who have emailed asking them to state what animal ingredient makes them not vegan, and they will not confirm what it is.

Nobody knows, they won't say. I have several friends who have emailed asking them to state what animal ingredient makes them not vegan, and they will not confirm what it is. Well thats unsettling If something says "natural flavor," that could mean anything, so that's my guess. Probably the secretions from a beaver's anus. ETA: since they won't specify and it's literally anyone's guess, you could go so far as to say it's not even vegetarian. Wouldn't surprise me, a lot of people are surprised to learn some cheeses are not vegetarian. God only knows what they managed to get in there, it could easily be the product of slaughter as opposed to a byproduct.

What would make a beverage company think, “hey, let’s try beaver butt juice. I bet that would make this drink delicious.”
