I'm glad the new skincare routines are going well. If anybody has tips about what to do for the ENORMOUS pores on my nose, I'm all ears. Retinol. You want to plump your skin because you can’t actually shrink pores. Having more supple skin makes them less noticeable. You could also look for the words “collagen booster”. +100. I've been on the Retin-A for 2 or 3 weeks now and although I'm still struggling with overdryness issues, my pores looked better almost immediately. Mine have always bothered me so this is huge for me!

And thank you, lfig, those pictures were amazing. Also I'm pretty sure I wore a beige version of that pink dress to my brother's high school graduation. The 90s were a strange time.

H has had a low grade fever for like a month now, split in the middle by her EI. She was on antibiotics for that so whatever is going on has to be viral. Her doctor basically just shrugged it off. We did do lab work and a urinalysis after a week and a half and both were clear. I want to know WTF is going on.

I decided to make egg drop soup for lunch. I don’t know how long it will stick with me but at least it will taste good.

Mh sent me a text about an arcade game he wanted to buy. I told him if he had that kind of money to drop for a game, then he could pay for Cadence's birthday party. He said ok. So now I don't have to pay for her party and he's going to buy some racing game that probably won't fit in our house and he'll have to resell anyway.

I was using Retinol (I will again once I deliver) but haven't noticed anything. I think some pores are just the way that they are. You could use a primer to see if that makes them appear smaller. I have porefessional by benefit but I’m not sure if it’s vegan.

Had a massive day at work, today was the yearly event for informal caregivers from our region. It’s a big event that I co-coordinate, the artist was more that late. It was stressful, but she got there in the end and people were really impressed. I’m so happy it’s done. Next week I have one more big deadline (yearly magazine), after that it’s quieter for a little while.

I have porefessional by benefit but I’m not sure if it’s vegan. That's a good one! I had to ditch it because no, it isn't vegan, but everything ELF is, and I actually really like their primer. Some of their products are quite good finds, especially for a drug store brand.

My favorite cow at the sanctuary I visit died last night. One of my friends is taking me on a private tour there next month and I was so looking forward to snuggling up with her.

I don’t have any but a couple bloggers I follow seem to love them. I made an attempt this fall but Nordstrom was out of the size/wash I was looking for specifically. My random thoughts on jeans: I bought a pair of Loft jeans recently that I really like. The wash looks a bit higher-end, IMO. Banana Republic has a pair I’m eyeing, too. I normally love JCrew’s but I have to get tall sizes and the styles they’re offering in long length aren’t my fave—some of their regular length options are good looking though. Are they skinny leg or jeggings? I have a few pairs of jeggings and I thought I liked them but I’ve realized they drive me crazy. I don’t have big calves but apparently they are too big for jeggings because somehow they pull them down and then I’m pulling my pants up all day. I have a pair of skinnies and don’t seem to have the same problem. The ones I bought this fall are skinnies. I have jeggings from loft last year that I really liked at first, but I got them right after I had C and was in between sizes, so now I have droopy drawers and need to have them taken in in the waist. My calves are downright scrawny—to the point that I feel like my legs look deformed, ha— so no issues there.

Great news about your H tgrimes!! Congrats to him. Hope the new job will be a good one. Good work on the interview mwhip! Love those pics lfig! That prom (?) photo of you two is adorable. I also had Frieda Kahlo eyebrows from a very young age. I started plucking a bit in 8th grade, really tamed them in 9th. I kind of cringe looking back, because mine were too thin, as well. Only took me til my late 20s to figure out the best look 😜

Despite striking out on our A and B plans, the day turned out pretty well! We had lunch, went to B’s favorite park, and then stopped by the Yankee Candle Village. B got to make a candle, and of course the place was decked out for Christmas so we took advantage and let him meet Santa. He was very hesitant at first, but Santa was very sweet and patient, so B warmed up and sat down with him and rattled off his list 😊 I was really proud of him. I’ll post one of the pics (yes we are suckers and bought them) when we get home.
We’re headed home now and both kids are conked out in the back seat. #winning

Children's museum was fun/annoying because C was so hyper. We are now on the T just riding around while he naps. My friend bailed on our plans this evening and I'm slightly annoyed but ok since I'm tired. I think we are going to hit the hotel pool and get takeout.

The only bad thing about the job is the hours will be 6am-3:30pm. So I'll have to get up even earlier and get all of us ready. MH wasn't helping that much but at least I could sleep until 5:30 and he would get up with H at 6.
FFFC I'm a little annoyed that he'll get a couple hours kid free during the week. I know he won't be rushing to daycare to pick them up...

I was able to get M in today because of a cancellation.
He thinks it may be a bowel obstruction. We did an xray & labs today and we go back in a week. Got a refill for more zofran and we're supposed to give miralax daily until we see him again on the 20th. He didn't feel an obstruction but said you can only feel it if it's really bad.
I asked about a dairy intolerance or allergy and he said based off my answers and M's, it doesn't sound like it. She'd have different signs/symptoms.
