Now she has moved her laptop so at least don't have to watch her make and eat said guacamole. I mean I love guacamole. But like how is she making it at her desk? I need a cutting board, and knife. You have to cut avocados, limes, red onion, jalapeno, and cilantro. And mash. And mix. And season with salt and pepper. And mash and mix some more. I'm either impressed or horrified that she's using some powder mix stuff. Haha, that is some very involved guac you make. Hers was just basic. Avocado, salt and pepper...possibly lime. mwhip we have a "kitchen" but it is just a sink and a coffee maker, no real counter space. She cut the lime in the kitchen, but brought it all back to her desk. Scraped the avo into a bowl and proceeded to mash the shit out of it. Then she ruined it all by eating it with doritos.

I use a good powder, no shame in my game. but I still wouldn't make it at my desk. Avocados are a mess! Getting the skin off is a feat in itself for me! How do you do it? It shouldn't be hard to remove unless they are under ripe.

It shouldn't be hard to remove unless they are under ripe. I cut in half, remove the pit, then slice, then remove with a spoon. Little pieces always fall all over the place though.

This is a weird/stupid question. Sunday E and I took a bath together. She likes to dump water over my head to rinse the shampoo and conditioner. This is normally fine, but I think water got into my ear. This happens often if I spend the day at the lake or pool, but normally goes away in a day or two. It's now Wednesday and I feel like I still have water in there. It doesn't hurt, but is hard to hear out of, and I can occasionally hear my heartbeat in it. It's irritating. Should I go to the doctor? Or just drop some rubbing alcohol in it to dry it out?

But will you make it at our desk? No lol. But before kids I would also fry tortillas to make my own chips because they are so much better than store bought. Someday I'll have time to do that again lol.

My cousins son was born Sep. 1 and J was born Sep 4. Last year I had J's party on his actual birthday since it fell on a Sunday. Her son, E's fell on Thursday so I assumed they'd have it the weekend before or on Saturday. She got all in a tizzy that I "stole" E's birthday weekend. She ended up not being able to afford a party and didn't have one. Yesterday she told me she's having his party on the Saturday of their birthdays. Reserving it 4 months in advance. I LOLed. She got this confused look and said "well just so you know" Oh okay. Thanks. I feel like you will be dealing w this nonsense for the rest of their childhoods.

As long as no one is suggesting joint birthday parties I'll give her whatever day she wants.

I have a job interview next week. I only applied to this one job and I'm kind of surprised they called. I'm out of practice, not prepared and all my acceptable business clothes are still packed away for our next move. Also, our preschool director is out of town for another week and a half so I can't ask about a possible schedule change.

jewels , did he give you any real notice that he was ready? I'm wondering if we should just bite the bullet and try it. Not really. Saturday we set the watch for every 30 minutes and made him sit each time it went off. He went 1 time. Then after nap we put him in underwear. He had 2 accidents and got really upset both times (he hates a mess). The next day we kept him sitting every 30 minutes - by the afternoon he hadn't had any accidents and told me he knew what he was doing and didn't need the watch any more. I feel like he just made up his mind after those accidents. So, for us, just biting the bullet and putting him underwear worked for us. We did no pants till Monday. But he wore underwear the whole time b/c the underwear got him excited. Good luck!!

The radio station I listen to is doing this contest and the amount to win is up to $1,000. It started at $100. I know all the answers. How the F do you get through to a radio station? Wait on hold? repeat calls?

Hi! I'm actually logged on at work. It's been busy but productive, so I decided that I get a break.
Off to catch up!

Rough afternoon here. V asked to go to the park so we're going outside and he has a huge tantrum because we're going to the park so I tried to turn around and walk back inside. Tantrum continues because we're going inside. Who knew you could cause a meltdown by doing exactly what your child wanted.

Yesterday ended on a crappy note but today has been great! MH and I had the day off. We took S to day care then went and spent the day on the river in our boat. Just relaxed and got some fresh air and sun. I felt kinda bad taking S to day care while we went and had fun. But the water is still too cold for her to get in and I felt like I'd be fighting her the whole time holding her back from trying to get in.
And we are killing it this week in the parenting game. Not only did we send her to day care yesterday and today while we were off work and we did fun things by ourselves, but we also got a babysitter for Friday night so we can go to dinner and a movie.
