I have amazing running shoes that I love, but they just don't do well for the BBM style workouts. Lunges, jumping, etc. I don't feel like I get enough support. I have back issues and knee issues which make things challenging to begin with, and I really don't want to aggravate old injuries. I just bought some on amazon thinking they would do the trick and they somehow manage to have less support.
I am assuming some sort of cross-fit/cross-trainer is what I am looking for. I would love to also be able to go right into an elliptical workout after and not have to switch shoes.
Please recommend your favorite workout shoes. I would love to know why you like them. Links/photos very much appreciated! Thank you!

You need to go in and try on shoes at a store. The right kind of shoe will vary on your individual build and needs.

@stcyct I got some New Balance cross trainers today. I went to the store and tried a bunch on, did lunges and squats and butt kickers (looking super nerdy but oh well) and found some that feel light and supportive. It really helped to try them on.

This may sound weird but I ended up doing BBM barefoot in my house. I felt my feet moved easier than with a shoe gripping the floor and I felt less pain in my plantar fasc. I'm not one of those barefoot shoe people but you might give it a try for 1 workout. It's free after all.

When competing in Crossfit i loved my Reebok Nanos 4.0. They were awesome to run in (regularly did about 3 miles) as well as do body weight movements and heavy lifts. Can’t recommend them enough.
