I have today off from work. Both kids are broken since the clocks went back, so I brought them to DC bright and early. I think I'm going to prep dinner for tonight (crispy chicken carnitas) and tomorrow (IP chicken soup) and then shower & paint my nails.

It’s 7:35. Both children are still asleep. Of course this only happens during the week.

I just got s1 on the bus. And the bus driver said “I appreciate you so much” I’m not exactly sure what he means. All I know is we are always ready and waiting for the bus everyday and I call when he won’t be riding the bus. Regardless it made me feel happy.

I almost cried after music today. I know my child is only 2. But I’m starting to see similar behaviors As far as attention in E that I saw in s1. Other kids, who looked younger, could sit and follow the basic directions. But not my child. And this is how music has gone lately. The first few times were fine and now he runs around and doesn’t participate.

Yesterday, I was sitting next to s1 while he played and he started counting his superheroes..... in Spanish. This is the second time I’ve seen this where he switches to speaking Spanish without being prompted. How freaking cool is that?

jedi, is your older son in the spectrum? Is that what you are seeing with your younger one now?

My keyboard case for my ipad came today. I’m really liking it! I think I’ll use my ipad a lot more now since typing on the ipad screen is the worrrsstt, but I do like my ipad.

Good morning.... And I say morning because I just woke up from one of those naps when you don't know what day year or month it is. Wowie I needed that. But now I can't seem to warm up. It's been rainy and in the 30-40's around here lately and I'm just not used to it

jedi, I’m sorry music was rough. Definitely keep your eye on E and trust your instincts, but also, he may just be a spirited kid, toddlering. I know with swim class, P had been awesome, and then she had a couple sessions that were miserable, not wanting to follow along at all, getting out of the pool and trying to run around, etc. And then her last class she was a star. So I think some of it can just depend on the day, sleep, whims of a toddler’s mood, etc.

My boss is newly vegetarian so all veggie food is super exciting to him right now. There’s a veggie burger that recently came out, currently only in restaurants, called the Impossible Burger. The goal of it is to be a plant based “meat” that really tastes and feels like a regular burger. Anyway, because he’s so obsessed with all things veg right now, he took me out to lunch for them. It was really good!

So while s1 seeks input I wonder if E is avoiding in some ways.
