Me - I found my first gray hair. MH - The first one that you know of. Me - ::death glare:: I didn't really need to hear that right now. MH - I've been balding since I was in college. Don't look at me for sympathy with your hair. LOL. A has been balding since high school.. When my brother complains about his grey hair (he'll be grey by 35) A yells "I'LL TRADE YOU!!!!" MH said he was using rogaine in high school. Ha ha ha!

I think I had a total of like 5 gray hairs in my 20s. After C though, things took off. It’ll be like a random strand here and there or a random little cluster. Obviously I dye it. Too vain for grays. Chase was my tipping point. I went from randomly finding a gray here and there to having a little patch of them. At least with my color - plus highlights - it's not noticeable. My SIL's hair is so dark that her grays really stick out. And she's had them since her early 20s.

I remember my first gray, tgrimes . It was almost 10 years ago and I found it at work, while I was still pretty new to the company. A couple of my coworkers coddled me and we're still friends today. Thanks for commiserating with me....unlike the rest of you beeotches.

You guys, color your hair! I'm 40 and haven't found a gray because I color regularly! Although I color it blonde, so the grays just blend in! I would but I can't afford it... Maybe I should start a charity like flamingo's friend.

tgrimes, box dye! I was just thinking the other day I wish I still used box dye because it would save me so much money. I dyed it myself all through college until after we got married (even the week of my wedding) and thought it looked great. I found a color I liked and stuck with it. But now my good friend does my hair so I'd feel bad quitting. And I like the me time.

The nurse just called with my lab results. I have to up my vitamin D because that is still low even though I've been supplementing for awhile now and my rheumatoid factors are high, so I get to see a rheumatologist now. Yay. My OBGYN made me take a Vitamin D pill that was a ridiculous dosage for awhile. Maybe you can do that? Although it's not ideal, maybe the rheumatologist can help with the way you've been feeling.

mwhip my PatPat order finally came! It has been just about a month since I ordered. It looks like everything should fit. My pajamas seem a little small, but they should work for a Christmas pic. I'll probably steal DHs since he won't wear them for anything but the picture. They are all cute tho!

That's what I had to do last winter. 5000IU for a few months, I think, before switching to 2000IU. That's still twice the daily requirement (I think), but I've read that our bodies don't absorb vitamins in pill form nearly as efficiently as via food. So who knows? But my numbers are decent, for once.

I got a call from M's teacher that he got into fire ants and has like 20 bites ☹️
I'm going to try to pick him up early and take him for frozen yogurt to make up for it.

@klongoria My Rheumatologist said there can be a lot of false positives with RA factor.
I hope you don't have that or any AI issue and you see a good Rheumatologist and they'll get to the bottom of why you've not been feeling well.

MH is out of town. N actually slept in her room all night and they were both up around 6:30. H had a bloody nose in his sleep. I had his humidifier going, so the air wasn't dry. One of my brothers and I used to get bloody noses all the time for no reason as kids, so maybe he has that trait too. We were ready to go by 8 this morning but didn't have to leave the house until 8:45. Somehow I still managed to be late. I forgot I had to drop H at daycare before I took N to preschool. So I had to do it the other way around so she wasn't late, which then made me 15 minutes late for work. Ugh it's only tuesday... H gets bloody noses kind of frequently. I notice it more if her nails start to get long so I think she’s picking her nose and scratching in there.

Re: grays. Every now and then I get a crazy gray hair that seems to sprout out of nowhere. It's usually kinky and gross and standing up straight on my head like a Who hair. I pluck that shit. I am far too lazy in the hair maintenance realm for coloring. I only get my hair cut about once a year (sometimes less). I also like my hair color so I really wouldn't want to mess with it.
TFFC I actually really want to do one of those crazy temporary hair colors, like purple or teal. I am too afraid it wouldn't wash out enough in time for NG weekends though so instead I was thinking of playing with it with the girls' hair and living vicariously. I might dye their hair winter break because I think they'd love it. I found some plant-based stuff.

But my numbers are decent, for once. The first time I went in with low Vit D the doctor said she would normally prescribe like 20,000iu but since I was nursing she didn’t want to. I’ve never actually been given a dosage I should be taking so I generally take 1000, unless I forget a couple days and then I’ll take 2 pills. I need to get an appt with my PCP.

Ugh. It feels very Mondayish to me. I got a call from M's school nurse that she failed 2 hearing tests. I'm spiraling and feeling guilty although I know it's stupid and there's nothing I could do to prevent it. It's not like I purposefully willed her to have hearing loss, but I'm cursing my shitty genetics. I hope her hearing loss stays minor and doesn't get as bad as mine.
Also MH and I are having issues and I need to talk things out with him. There's literally almost no time for us to talk though. He's always gone in the evenings and by the time I get the kids to bed I'm worn out and just want to space off with a TV show.

I have greys, lots of them, specifically a Cruella DeVille stripe. I'm getting my hair done on Tuesday, so I'm just going to have her bleach them and make them blue that way when I redo my blue pieces at home I can do those pieces as well and keep them covered.

Yeah, I could really spiral on all the things it could possibly be, so I'm just trying to go in with the thought that it is possibly nothing.
