Well I’ve continued to be pretty crampy and they seem to have morphed more into my normal pre period cramping so I’m feeling out. Trying to figure out how I’m going to fit the doctor in next week for a cd 3 sono. Should be interesting. orangehibiscus Thinking of you today.

Thank you sunshiney. I really hope Cytotec will do the job if I need it. I hope the cramping is implantation/stretching obscureference! Are you planning on testing? Thanks for thinking of me!

I really hate testing lol. I just get so disappointed. I actually meant to test this morning but I had to pee so bad when I got up that I forgot. Trying to wait until Wednesday. I also don’t know if the femara is going to affect my LP which is usually on the short end of normal so I feel like I could be setting myself up for even more disappointment. I wish this was easier. For everyone.

obscureference FWIW, Femara slightly shortened my LP, strangely enough?? But I don't think that's typical. It's sounds like you're making a wise choice about testing! I still hope you get an awesome surprise.

Femara didn't affect my LP at all obscureference, but I'm pretty sure it made daisy818's longer by several days. FX so hard for you when you do test! I agree, I wish IF didn't exist and everyone TTC got KU on Cycle 1. It would save so much heartache and misery. Hugs!

TW Loss
So, my beta this morning went up again to 53. My ultrasound showed nothing. I will start Cytotec tomorrow morning. If nothing really happens, then I'll repeat Cytotec on Sunday morning. If Cytotec doesn't work and my betas are still going up, then I'll need Methotrexate.
Once this is all over, they will do RPL testing. They will test for blood clotting disorders. If that comes back normal, then they will do karyotyping on H and I. If that comes back with something, then the RE will recommend IVF with PGD. H and I have always said we didn't want to do IVF. I'm not sure what to do, but I'm a planner, so I'm already looking into costs of IVF with PGD as well as adoption. Maybe all the tests will come back normal and our losses are just bad luck? I don't know. I hate not having answers. All we can do now is wait and hope that the Cytotec will work.

orangehibiscus I am so sorry that you are having to do the beta roller coaster again. I really hope they are able to give you some answers with the RPL testing, having no answers is the worst part. So many hugs.

Oh orangehibiscus, I'm so sorry for the roller coaster. Have they mentioned a possible molar pregnancy? I vaguely remember someone else who went through one with oddball betas as well. I hope you can get some sort of answer this week. ❤

I hope you can get some sort of answer this week. ❤ Thank you Coop! They didn't mention molar pregnancy. Nothing showed up on my ultrasound (molar or otherwise), but I wouldn't expect it to with a beta as low as mine. So, I'm not sure. Anything is possible I guess. This is almost exactly what happened to me last time, except my betas are way lower this time.

orangehibiscus I'm so sorry it happened again. It's just not fair that sometimes it's as hard to stay pregnant as to get pregnant. Are you on baby aspirin? There are studies that have shown it can help maintain a pregnancy in someone with previous losses. Not that it's a magic solution, but something to talk about with RE?

RE is going to do tests for blood clotting disorders. I don't take baby aspirin, but I will ask the RE about it! Thanks for the suggestion!

We had karyotyping and I had clotting and AI testing and I think the lab billed almost $3000 to our insurance. Luckily it was covered so our expense was minimal but...phew.

Thanks orangehibiscus. I finally got my progesterone results back and it doesn’t even look like I had ovulated by cd 23 so I’m thinking those O pains I had last week were actually O pains. Unfortunately that means our timing was terrible. It also means I am possibly only 6 dpo and still have a ways to go until AF. I guess I won’t trust the meds just yet and keep doing my OPKs next cycle!

TW Loss
Beta went down a bit to 45 today. Cytotec did basically nothing all weekend, even after 2 doses! Minimal cramping and a tiny bit of spotting yesterday and today. I'll have another beta on Wednesday and see what that is.
RE's nurse said she has never seen this happen to one person twice. She has also never seen this weird beta hell in a CP before. I asked her what would the treatment plan be if this happens a third time. She said IVF with PGD. That runs about 20k at my clinic. H and I never wanted to do IVF, but if that ends up being our only option of a biological child, then we would seriously consider it. We would also look into adoption at that point too.

orangehibiscus Oh, friend. I'm thankful your numbers haven't risen more but I wish so much that they would drop clearly and quickly for you. I hope you don't go through this again and need to look at IVF or adoption. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Hey ladies: I've been away due to work. Looking forward to the long weekend! orangehibiscus - I am so freaking sorry. What a cluster. Beta hell and CPs are hard enough...but for it to keep happening is unimaginable. I hope that your beta keeps dropping and the meds work...and mostly that you don't have to endure another loss. obscureference - Sorry for the BFN. Did you get your CD3 Sono scheduled? How is everyone else doing? Any good Turkey day plans?
