Which do you like better and why?
We are making our list and I like John and want to put it on the list, but DH likes Jonathan. We have the most pathetic boy name list.

LOL. I laughed at “crazy outside the box” when I saw the names. I like both, but I prefer John.

For me I think it would depend on how it flowed with the middle name and last name. I like both names, maybe I would tend towards Jonathan?

I also laughed when I opened the poll. 😊
One, I always prefer multi-syllable names. Two DH is Jonathan. So my choice is obvious. And his brother is Michael lol.

I think Jonathan sounds great (and if it means anything to you, the Bible character is pretty special), and it comes complete with the NN Jon, so win-win?

John.
But, if you pick Jonathan, don't nickname him Jack. Jack is only for John!

I prefer John. Strong, classic, you can’t go wrong with it.

Jonathan, because of its infinitely superior elegance.

I prefer John. If we have another boy, his name will be Evan - which is the Welsh form of John, so I may be partial. Piping in to say that you have very good taste. Sincerely, mom of an Evan
