For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Non-BFing question of the week: Share a quick and easy dinner recipe.

1. How old is your LO? 2 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3 3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? Nowhere super-strange-- the playground, restaurants, trains, the bank, in a car, at the zoo... 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? First thing in the morning I'm tired, after work I'm usually just sitting there, and before bed I usually play on my phone.
Non-BFing question of the week: Share a quick and easy dinner recipe. 2 of my quick go-tos: Saute kale w/garlic and olive oil and serve with over easy eggs on top. Buttered noodles mixed with canned tuna, peas, and parmesan. Will try to think of other actual recipes to add!

1. How old is your LO? - 2.5y 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? - 1-3 3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? - I can’t think of anywhere strange. I’ve nursed a 2 year old at a restaurant so I guess lots of people would consider that strange 😛 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? - snuggle or play on my phone. I’m nursing now!7 Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? - no pain, no aversion, but my supply has tanked this week. I’m not even 8 weeks yet; I thought I had more time 😞 😞 😞 he still dry nurses but then he asks for a cup of water and string cheese. He’s not swallowing at all on the right breast. He stays there til I ask if he’s done. He’ll tell me “that’s sticky milk. It just sticks on my tongue.” Non-BFing question of the week: Share a quick and easy dinner recipe. dinnerthendessert.com/one-pan-baked-chicken-brown-rice-vegetable-casserole/I usually use chicken breast instead, and whatever fresh veggies I have on hand. Often carrots & broccoli & green beans.

1. 23 mo 2. Too many. We've cut overnights and if we're out, he's good, but the minute I sit down at home he's inconsolable if he doesn't nurse. I'm ok with pre-nap and pre-bedtime, just not ok with not being able to sit down except for those times.
3. Probably hiking. I did a few 5+ miles with each kid in an ergo.
4. "Save money by BF they said...they underestimated my ability to shop online". I'm always on my phone. Sometimes I'm here, sometimes I'm reading (praise overdrive, kindle, nook etc) and sometimes I'm elsewhere on the interwebs. Honestly, I have read 67 books this year and nursing is probably the key reason why. Sitting still with phone in hand for a couple hours a day means lots of pages read. I get enough snuggles, nursing or not.
* we do turkey zoodles at least once a week.
Brown turkey, add pesto, cherry tomatoes a splash of white wine and simmer.
Spiralize zucchini, toss in oil with garlic and heat until just warm.
Add the two pans and serve.
My kids gobble it up.

1. How old is your LO? 25mo 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2-6/8, I honestly lose track some days. 3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? Can’t think of any. 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? I will watch TV, browse HIH or FB, or be trying to get everyone ready. Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Doing good. Today we have 1 more morning left, unless I go into labor. He really likes his morning nursing sessions, which I love because he is snuggly. Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Non-BFing question of the week: Share a quick and easy dinner recipe. I will have to snap a pic and edit this. We like breakfast for dinner when in a hurry or lacking energy. This reheats well and is yummy. You can add meats or veggies to it too. And we use whatever cheese we have.

1. How old is your LO? 14 months
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 6ish
3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? Nowhere strange, we would NIP wherever we were, park, trails, airplane, restaurants, etc.
4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? Just relax. I used to play on my phone or read back when she was nursing 15+ times a day, but now it’s mama/DD snuggle time since it’s the only time she’s still.
Non-BFing question of the week: Share a quick and easy dinner recipe. Ugh, with my dietary restrictions I don’t think there are any meals that are quick and easy.

Hooray for quick/easy recipes, I'm definitely going to try some of these!
1. How old is your LO? I refuse to believe it but he will be 2 on 12/1; we are in the last month of his second year. Time flies! 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2 on days I work, 3 on days I don't. 3. What's the strangest place you've BF your LO? We don't NIP and never really did much, but the strangest to me was the hallway outside the library of my elementary school (we were there for pre-Baptism class for my LO). 4. Do you multitask while nursing (watching TV, reading, etc.) or do you just relax and enjoy the snuggle time? Morning & night he doesn't nurse for more than 10-15 min so I try to just enjoy the snuggles. The days that I'm home with him, I read on my phone and/or nap too since he usually sleeps on me and nurses throughout his nap.
Non-BFing question of the week: Share a quick and easy dinner recipe. Uhhh I'm not great at cooking these days. Most weeknight meals are a protein and a veggie. This usually looks like: chicken or turkey sausage or breaded chicken breasts + a steam bag of mixed veggies, or a salad with chicken, or turkey or chicken wraps. C will usually eat what we eat but with added grains (mac & cheese, pasta).
