How is it going?
Any challenges? Anything getting easier? Any changes?
Any questions for the other mamas?

How is it going? Still going really well!
Any challenges? Anything getting easier? Any changes? One new thing, she asked to switch boobs. She's never really done that before. When I'm nursing her to sleep, she will get done on one side and ask for the other. Last night, she didn't want the right (produces less). Not sure if my supply has decreased or if she just changed her habits.
Any questions for the other mamas? Not at the moment.
How often do you nurse? 3-5 during day depending on if a work day and then overnight/ early morning. Usually one nursing session around 11pm to put her back down and then not again until 4/5.
How is nighttime going? Do you still nurse overnight? I discussed above.
What is your favorite thing about nursing? Least favorite? I love the cuddles! i don't have a lot of negatives, but one would be not wanting to take a trip without her.
What is your favorite nursing related product? i love the undercover mama nursing tanks. try them out!

Still chugging along. I am in an internal struggle about wanting to wean, but also not wanting to. Still nursing overnight and depending on whether she does daycare 1-4 times a day. Favorite nursing related product- I actually prefer my sports bras and regular tanks to any of the nursing stuff. š¬

We're still nursing a little bit, but I think the end is near. We're down to basically just nursing before bed. After I was gone for a week he started asking for a cup of milk in the morning sometimes, in addition to nursing, so I told him he could only have one or the other, and he seems pretty happy with his milk now. I'm not producing much anyway, so when he does nurse it's really mostly for comfort. I feel a little sad about it, but also ready to be done. I think I want him to be weaned before the next baby comes, but I have no plans to push it until after he turns 2.

Still going and itās... okay. She definitely nurses more than Iād like at this point and Iām over the MOTN nursing demands. I have really started trying to limit the overnight sessions. I either cut her off after a minutes or so, or outright tell her āmilk is sleepingā and turn her down. She cries for a couple minutes then cuddles up and goes to sleep. So far it hasnāt helped with reducing how many times she wakes up and asks for it, though.
My H and I are leaving today for two nights away so it will be amazing to get a break for a couple nights! I still need to figure out where my manual pump is... I havenāt used it since we moved in June, and I think itās in a box somewhere in the garage? I donāt know if Iāll need it - I hope not - but do not want to wake up tomorrow with sore boobs and nothing to do about it.
As far as nursing products... itās been so long since Iāve used anything. I really liked nursing tanks for the first few months with dd1, but never wore them at all with dd2. I just used a nursing bra and regular tank top. Now I rarely even wear a nursing bra. I generally wear a Natori feathers bra and just pull the cup down when I need to nurse.
@kelltothekell - Can I ask why nursing is stopping you from wanting to take a trip without her?

nellieoleson I donāt really know the answer to that! I guess I just felt like I needed to be around to nurse her but she would be fine without me. Another issue though is sleep. I canāt really imagine bed would go well but maybe it would! Good luck with night weaning. I have one session (first wake-up) that we should try to cut out. She nursed early morning too but I feel like that one helps us all get a bit more sleep. Maybe with time your daughter will get out of the habit of waking to nurse.... and mine too! One can dream.

The first time I left dd1 overnight I was freaked out about how anyone would get some sleep and she did just fine - and actually slept better after that once we were back home. Fingers crossed we have a similar experience with Dd2. I had been worried about leaving dd2, and I do still feel a little bad about it, but man Iām tired. I need it. My marriage needs it.
