mrspiatt, what an awful situation for your daughter! It sounds like she’s handling it smartly and safely though. I have no positive thoughts for her DM— I hope her DM is fired!

I’m really disappointed in the way things are being handled by the DM... I was upset before, but now I’m pissed off. DD1 is calling HR in the morning before work and as long as she has time before her shift starts, she’ll call me to let me know how it went. Her manager will be working on Saturday (she originally had the day off), they’re afraid the guy may show up anyway as a walk in or just to “shop” in the store. They have no idea what he looks like, so they’ll just be on edge the entire day.

mrspiatt, ok now I'm pissed for you. Make sure your DD documents everything. When the guy called, what did he say, her alerting her manager, when the manager alerted the DM, calling the police, etc. She should do that NOW even though she is calling HR. Have her keep it at home. I find the company's response lacking. My concern is things go south over the weekend and she gets let go. Having documentation her safety was at risk would protect her if she filed for unemployment or petitioned the company for unfair termination. I really hope the guy doesn't show up. Does she have a name? Has she or you tired to look him up on social media? Sex offender website? They post pictures. However, I'm glad it appears her direct manager is taking this seriously.

skinandbones- yes she has a name, but I’m not sure if it’s real. He would have used it to book the appointment. I didn’t even think about looking him up. She has a timeline of events... and everything he has said to her and her manager is written down. I’ll ask her for the name and do the search for her (I have more time than she does).
