Age: 2y10m
Milestones: A lot more verbal/cognitive stuff. It's funny how they make giant leaps with thinking sometimes.
Challenges: Fighting, arguing, and tattling on each other! It gets old and I miss when they played together better.
Funny/cute stories: We went ToTing with some friends that had a teenager. We were pulling DS2 and the friends' toddler in a wagon from house to house, and the teen would help them get out of the wagon and pick out candy. Eventually the toddlers stopped getting out of the wagon and the teen would just grab it for them... by the end of the night, they were sitting mouths open like baby birds waiting for the teen to put the candy directly into their mouths! All the candy with none of the work!
How are you? Sick here too. We all caught nasty colds, except DS1. I'm glad he's not sick because it's usually a bigger deal for him, but I'm dreading winter if such nasty bugs are already going around.
QOTW: He was Woody to his big brother's Buzz Lightyear. They were super cute and very excited. He got almost a whole grocery bag of candy and treats. People on base were handing out some healthier treats too, so he also got a lot of applesauce pouches, goldfish, and raisins.

Age: One month to 3 years old
Milestones: Nothing specific-getting better about story telling and sharing what he did during the day.
Challenges: Bedtime struggles. Once in crib, all is great, but for some reason the actual go to bed process is suddenly very dramatic. I dread transition to a bed.
Funny/cute stories: D loves to pee on the grass. H doesn't want him to. The other day after a little tantrum I gave in and said,"Fine but don't tell Daddy." Two hours later, Daddy comes home and D runs to him and says,"Mommy told me to pee on the grass!" He did follow that up with,"We didn't buy you beer today, I'm sorry. We will buy beer tomorrow." So maybe he's getting ready for truth and distraction tactics???
How are you? Physically exhausted these days, but all is good.
Anything else? Nada.
QOTW : What did your little one dress up as for Halloween? Did s/he get a good candy haul? D decided he wanted to be a pilot and our dog the plane (I did ask him what he and Dusty want to be for Halloween, hence why Dusty was included). And because when D sees planes, he is convinced that with every single one my brother is always on it, I pasted a picture on my brother onto the "plane." Candy haul is good! One neighbor gave us a ton of lollipops that are apple and caramel...OMG so good. Too bad LO can't have...
