So, for DS birthday, he wants it to be a surprise. I was originally thinking of just having it at home, but am now trying to think of something fun for the kids to get out some energy. So.... If you were invited to a party at 2 at an indoor inflatables place, would you be okay going back to a house for pizza? So kids can jump for up to 2 hours, have cake and drinks, then pizza after back at my house. Or is this a terrible idea?

You can have pizza at the indoor place correct? Wouldn't that be easier to do?

Why can’t you get the cheaper pizza and bring it to the play place?

And honestly.... I had s1 party at a time specifically so I didn’t have to feed a meal. As a guest, I’d be fine with just cake and drinks at the place.

makes sense. to answer your original question, it would depend on how well i knew the family hosting the party. if i was good friends with them, i wouldn't mind going back to their house. if i wasn't close to them, i might moan about it privately but go because ultimately i want my kid to have fun with their friends and i want the birthday kid to have a great birthday.

Why can’t you get the cheaper pizza and bring it to the play place? We can't take any outside food in with the exception of the cake.

RunsforWineandCarbs - We are only inviting our closer friends this year. Trying to keep it small.

That's why I am thinking 2 because then I wouldn't feel guilty about not supplying food, but also feel weird because we have always supplied food no matter the time. Over achiever here.
